So for example maybe you're playing brand, you have 3 other mages on your team and you've been feeding all game. Then it's a decent buy.

zhonyas isnt even good as a defensive option unless you are already winning. you zhonyas when you dive or you zhonyas when enemy is diving you and you have 3 teammates right next to you. the rest of the time its just +2 seconds to death timer.

If you're behind, then you have to build full damage to try to get a cheeky kill to get back into the game.
Buying any defensive items when you're behind is a complete noob trap.

Here's the next 4 months:
Act 1
>Xin went to Ionia to try and reconnect with his Ionian roots
>The new champ (released probably 2 patches in again) is an Ionian Spirit that noticed something causing corruption in the Spirit Realm and sent a flower out to find someone to help (not sure why she wouldn't go right to Shen but he'll be involved for sure)
>Xin found it and was led to the Spirit where they'll meet cause of the Spirit Blossom festival connecting the realms
>The two will journey through the Spirit Realm/Ionia and learn about some cool spirit lore stuff while looking for the source of the problem

Act 2
>Xin and the Spirit become close as they journey
>Eventually find the source of the problem, the Darkin Glaive that Leblanc is after
>Her schemes somehow messed with it causing it to make problems in the Spirit Realm
>It'll get worse and Xin will have to try and remove the Darkin from the Spirit Realm to save the day
>With the help of his new Spirit friend and the other Ionian spirits, Xin will conquer the Darkin and calm it down or suppress it (this will become the basis for a Xin ASU, Darkin either fully sealed or it becomes a voice in his head like Kayn & Rhaast but less combative)
>Somehow (maybe the Glaive is calmed but still wants to do something, maybe Leblanc plans still doing stuff) this will lead to the next Season as Xin has to take the Glaive somewhere else.

I wouldn't recommend playing Ryze on high ping, not only is he difficult but he requires hands which means low ping, try a babymode champion like Qiyana on high ping, it plays itself

Mordekaiser, Gwen, Yorick, whose only other eligible role would be jungler. But like the other anon said, I'm not going to play jungle, I think I'm terrible at it which is ironic since I used to play Kayn back at his release (after a week to get Mastery 7 on him first). Right now I would be gapped hard and make my team lose for it.
I'm alright playing toplane but I hate playing against some matchups like I don't know even; if I first pick I'm guaranteed a counterpick and being unable to lane, if I last pick I have to compensate for my team.
I'm not a proplayer but goddammit I'm not hearing anyone saying I don't put effort into the game.

This is the hardest condition to meet. Let's say you picked an ap champion first, then your team will be trolling if they pick other 3 ap champions.
On the other hand, if your team already picked 3-4 ap champions, I thintyou would be trolling of you picked a fifth one.
So just from the get go, there should be no game where I should even consider buying it. And that's not even taking into account that the champion you choose must be good at proccing it. It's such a shame.
Would you think Morgana is a good candidate for it as a support?

You're not wrong BUT if you're behind you can't buy that shit either or you won't kill anyone.
If you're fed, the level and gold lead will make up for the fact that you bought a lower damage item. If you are behind though, you have to pick something like shadowflame or hubris that gives you raw damage or you just won't be able to kill anyone and you will be useless.
Buying defensive items on burst champions only works when you already have the damage to burst people regardless.

I didn't say zhonyas is bad, I said buying it when you are already behind is trolling. If you're ahead it's broken (because you will have enough damage to kill them anyways) but if you are behind it's bad.
Nobody in high elo builds zhonyas if they're fucking 0/5. Only low elo retards fall for the "defensive items while behind" meme. Because low elos don't understand the basic principle of the game that if you are ahead, you play safe because you already AHEAD and now you just have to NOT lose your lead. But if you're BEHIND you have to take risks to acquire a lead.

It's a popular skinline and it gives them something to focus on instead of just going "Ionia Season".
Like, Noxus Season was pretty all over the place with the Mel shit, the Reckoning PIt stuff and the Morde/Leblanc things.
This one will hopefully be more focused since it's just "Ionia's Spirit Realm" getting done for the whole season.

Also, I'd rather have another Ionian Spirit as a champ over any more fucking Vastaya or Asians with swords from there. Lilia and Ivern are great, so hopefully this new girl will be at least decent.

You're on a support budget and even if you snag some kills you won't be on the carry level of an actual adc. Focus on the cheap stuff that adds damage but also utility. Like Umbral Glaive or Storm Razor or Hextek Gunblade.

+1 if you were Honored at least once the previous game
+1 if you're Honor Lv. 3 or higher

EUNE 3AM normals go like that. Decent chance you'll run into Federals "guys I'm literally magifelix" 1 (or one of his alts with a different number) as well - or gangs of people who have ego from reaching high elo in EUNE flex (the only thing they had to beat was queue time).

There are only 3 people with challenger tier in challenges on EUNE btw. It's EUW that has 12 of them.

monday is playable and tuesday is abysmal dogshit, it fixes itself the next day
every 2nd day is bad but you can check leagueofgraphs to see your patterns

like lategame nasus is shit because he can't do anything in fights as he gets cc locked and bursted before he can slowly walk up to people and bonk them. Games don't go long enough for his infinite scaling to outscale regular hyperscalers. Like yeah in theory you can get 5000 stacks and one shot everyone but it requires a 2 hour game. Meanwhile actual hyperscalers are dealing 3000 dps at 5 items.
Same story with Veigar. He can infinitely scale but his target access is so bad that he gets fucked in lategame fights and there are so many ways to avoid his ult lategame like Zhonyas.

I think Leblanc is going after the Darkin in the Spirit Realm by doing something to manipulate/mislead the spirits into fighting each other over it.
The new champ is some Spirit that realizes something's wrong and reached out for help and made contact with Xin.
