Don't forget, under Sylvanas, Forsaken basically went Scourge 2.0. Since their admission into the Horde, they've been engaging in repulsive and vile practices that routinely saw other (unplayable) factions put to the sword. And it finally culminated in the Fourth War, where Forsaken resorted to Blight, mass-raising of the fallen (strongly implied to be deprived of free will) and etc.

Basically, events of the Fourth War make every single Scarlet Crusade propaganda piece about Forsaken seem accurate.

Forsaken are on an extremely thin ice with the rest of Azeroth, Horde itself included. One wrong move and the Alliance will have all the excuse to wipe the Forsaken out for good - and this time, the Horde would likely let that happen.

With her attempts to build good relationships with the Alliance, Calia actively fixes decades of dangerous reputation that the Forsaken have acquired.

Like, I get the complaint that she doesn't fit, she is a Disney Princess (I personally like the trope, but I see how others might be against it). But one thing where she objectively correct, is that Forsaken cannot go on as they did before - if they don't want to find themselves fighting a losing war against rest of Azeroth.

Raid is good. M+ season is good.
Undermine is garbage. The zone is tiny and you move around it at lightning speed. Korthia levels of "we designed this rep grind to take exactly 6 months" and every mount has 20 lazy reskins so nothing feels unique. The outdoor events (surge pricing, DRIVE, trash digging, summoning rares) are all still buggy as fuck. The music is fine but you change zones every 2 seconds while driving so you never actually get to listen to any of it.

Suramar was composed ENTIRELY of such things.

The arathis air power pales in comparison.
They use flintlock muskets augmented with magic where the alliance an horde use auto loading cartridge guns. The alliance and horde build TANKS, Aircraft, Battlefleets

The Arathi empire is at best a peer based on what we've seen and more likely I expect them to be a Slightly inferior foe of vastly superior size, based on this the npcs have said, its LARGE, larger than the alliance lands in EK and not as war ravaged.

But the arathi are a colony of the ancient human empire, like suffered backslide and had to rebuild from basically nothing. Meaning they are likely some distance behind technologically. And they have had NO PART in the previous 30 years of dimension hopping warfare the alliance and horde have seen. The alliance contains literal aliens and those aliens have literal spacecraft.
The horde has now decades of experience in mechanized hybrid warfare using armor, artillery, shock troops ad airpower in concert.

The Arathi have been squashing rebellions of their own peasantry.

You had to a good run with 10min+ left on the timer for the last boss so the DK tank can solo the last 30/40%.
The boss was doing so much damage to dps players that it was too hard to heal without defensive cd and you ran out of them too fast, players were going out to respec single target and use a healer trinket that put a shield before the last boss to survive a bit more.

I have been playing and once again, my mage with over 200 days of playtime is sitting around 1600 and stuck at the challenger level.
I boosted an arms warrior having never played warrior before, and my placement MMR was 1900, and after around 70 rounds of solo shuffle my rating matched my MMR at 1950.
2300 is gladiator level. Was then, still is now.

Stormbringer is objectively worse than Totemic at basically everything besides mobility (which is mostly irrelevant since shamans have good baseline movement options)
The rotation is also slightly clunkier and A LOT more RNG dependent, while feeling much much worse for AoE since you basically don't have any uncapped options besides lightning rod and strombringer + crash lightning.
Both specs are ridiculously APM heavy and made of paper so you have to be constantly watching out to use your defensives. If this shit sounds annoying its because it is, Elemental is much much more lax and does about as well for both raiding and M+, although their ST is a little worse outside burst windows.

Also, both these specs REQUIRE good WeakAuras to be even remotely playable, the base UI has literally no information on how many stacks you have for Tempest, and Surging Totem is the jankiest main ability in the history of this game, considering you can only move it every 6 seconds baseline and it's about 35% of your DPS at any given time.

Mana as a resource is pretty boring since you either have enough or you don't and there's almost nothing in the game that actively interacts with it during combat. I think most RDPS specs are better off using their own designated resource to play around (Legion Arcane Mage was pretty fucking fun though). Although I think a Mana Drain dungeon boss/affix could be fun in the right circumstances.

Not sure I agree with the Ashbringer thing, as that's an entirely different can of worms. If nothing else, I think he should've wielded Quel'Delar instead of Liadrin. Arathor just gave like 2 quests in Outland and then we never really saw him again until Legion and even then he just doesn't do anything. But otherwise, overpowering at Light's Hope? Yeah, why not. Fuel him with the extreme motivation of avenging the Paladin Order, Lordaeron and Quel'thalas all at once in the only beacon of light location the upper eastern kingdoms seems to have at the time, I don't really see why not. He seemed like he was already set up to be a special boy, might as well have started showing it.

Okay so here's my story:

The Ashbringer is mostly tied to the Scarlet Crusade and the Mograine family. We also know that the Scarlet Crusade assisted the Argent Dawn in assaulting Naxxramas.

In this alternate scenario, Darion successfully assaults Light's Hope Chapel and as he enters, he gets greeted by the spirit of Uther. Uther (violently) cleanses the Ashbringer - Darion gets seared and ultimately cured of the curse of Undeath. He becomes the new Ashbringer, the new leader of the Scarlet Crusade and continues to form the Argend Crusade with the Scarlet Onslaught being a part of it.

Maybe in Legion, Darion gets fucked with by Nathrezim and it's the Highlords job to sort out the Scarlet Crusade and unite it again as the oiginal Silver Hand covenant.

That being said, this all has the benefit of 20 years of hindsight and I actually love what SoD is doing with the Ashbinger/Scarlet Crusade storyline.

When you sucessfully time a +10 dungeon you learn an account wide spell that teleports you to that dungeon. It goes on an 8 hour cooldown when used but the cooldown gets reset whenever you complete any m+ dungeon regardless of if it's in time or not.

Once you go beyond portals yeah, except when you have a good run in a roguelike it feels really good, when you get a good key run its a relief.

If you want to actually get shit like the 1% title, investing into a mythic raiding guild and trying to form a key group with them will be more successful than pugging constantly. Almost every keygroup in the mythic guilds i've been have gotten title pretty quickly, because playing with the same people is just that good
