I'm sure this will be an easy way to make money and it certainly won't activate the hard mode convicted rapist matchmaker. It doesn't pay all that well either, it's biggest advantage is making me play the good money printer line up for at least 10 games

Why are some Sabre pilots such pussies, flying a MiG15 (non-BIS) vs a F-86F-2 Sabre and every time I turn in on him the raging cunt just beelines straight for his airfield. Give up chasing him when the defense missiles start flying and return to try and shoot someone else on his team. As soon as I get near one of his teammates, lo and behold the raging cunt returns and starts spraying his cannons all over the place. So I turn back in on him, and what do you know it, the cunt beelines for the airfield again. What type of twat plays like that?
Surely the F-86F-2 outperforms the MiG15 in most areas except for instantaneous turn performance? Roll, Speed, Energy retention all favour it do they not?

Finally done with that Early German jet shite. Gave up on them all in the end and went back to the Ta152. He162 seemed the best of them all, decent guns, fast enough so long as you don't let it get slow, can perma WEP at 105-106% depending on map.

Its shite. No yaw. its a massive struggle to get your guns anywhere near the target. Sure you can loop around them all day long, but fuck you if you need any lateral aim correction. Its even worse in ground attack because the lack of yaw there really really fucks it, you just have to spray in the general area of your target and hope some of your shots hit. Its also utterly dire as soon as any part of your wing is red of black, so basically the entire place, as it cuts your speed near in half.
Terrible terrible plane. It would have been better if they put bombs in it instead of the Arado and put the cannons from the Ho229 in the Arado instead.

I fucking hate that plane.

Why was the ticket system changed? Now it is impossible to end games with airfield campers in them. Before you could just kill ground targets and be done with the match. Now you need to waste 15 MINUTES because some faggot is afraid of leaving the spawn

What people (occasionally) complain about are the R-77s and their still unmodelled drag, which isn't even that big of a problem since no sane person grinded the USSR to do BVR, not the Su-30SM itself. I've seen way more posts of people rejoicing about getting an answer to yurotriangles than the supposedly "frequent" crying you're crying about.

If you have top tier USA planes, you can spam the F-15E with a ground attack loadout.

The individual payout per mission isn't that great compared to something like a big naval match, so SL boosters aren't that effective. However the matches are fast. I've gotten ~110k SL for 5 minute matches where I have 40 seconds of activity time.

I'm surprised I don't see more americans do this.

back in 2011, during my mandatory conscription service, I watched over a mechanized infantry assault performed by BMP-2s.
While the field was blanked in white smoke from both the diesel based ESS and smoke canisters launched by the BMPs, I could still see every thermal spot with minimal obstruction, ESS has the least amouth of effect while the canisters caused some obstruction since they were some 200-300m in front of the assault.
and this was 14 years ago, I have no doubt that modern day thermals could see past that shit with ease,

Right now it’s ammo wetting that’s important since a fire in your barbette will sometimes destroy the entire ship before you can start firefighting. It’ll also pop shell rooms very quickly even if they aren’t in the barbette, which now have an explosion scaling with the total filler equivalent of all shells in the module. So stock grinds are ass and you should only bring half ammo on all ships with only a handful of HE.

In sim battles there are no nametags helping with situational awareness, and NATO completely fucking mogs redfor in the radar and RWR department until basically 14.0. NATO being easymode is completely fucking true all the way up until finally the Su-30 breaks the combo. USA is always on the blueteam and enjoys the NATO advantage. A handful of minor NATO nations are fence sitters that get occasionally placed on the red team and consequently get their winrate dragged down because of that. So basically nobody queued up for redfor which led to complete nato dominance with near perfect win rates for nations that are guaranteed to be on bluefor since the blue team would have both the tech advantage and the numbers advantage in the match.

In air RB the average mutt is a base bomber. They fully laden their planes with bombs whenever they can. Not the precision smart bombs that they can drop on targets from half a map away. Not even CCRP drops from higher altitudes/longer distances. They rush to the bases like lemmings to perform point blank CCIP drops. They do this because they REFUSE to risk a teammate kill the base first. So they take the most suicidal approach where their only real defense against fox3s is to pray that their RWR is beeping because the fox3 is aimed at a teammate and not themselves. Since teams are of equal size in air RB, nations are mixed in air RB, and USA players are most likely to be basebombing niggers, then the team with the most americans is the team that is most likely to be full of useless basebombing niggers and consequently is the team most likely to lose.

Arguing that the Su-30SM is better than the EFT in BVR (aka what ARB mostly consists of, admittedly) is a fool's errand when it has the T/W ratio it does and like 3/4 the range against maneuvering targets with its missiles, however, consider this: you can make just about anything at the very least not die against just about anything else in BVR by playing it right (notching, recommitting at the right time, keeping pressure, etc), but there's simply no way to make a brick win against a UFO in WVR. In other words, the difference between a "good" and a "bad" plane in BVR is 60% WR vs 40%, but 99% vs 1% in WVR. THAT's why WVR is so important when comparing planes: it's simply where the differences between them are the most pronounced and the most relevant to the outcome, and its why I value the Su-30SM's WVR performance more than the EFT's BVR performance .

There's definitely a learning curve where you have to map controls for all of the sensors and learn how to interpret the warnings and take appropriate defensive action against the missile hell. But the GPS guided GBU-39s are piss easy to use against stationary targets once you get within the maximum range of your thermal pod (30km). Literally a point-and-click adventure. The only extra step that I forgot to mention was that you need to be below mach 1 as a requirement for making the drops. For planes at altitude and near mach 1, the range of these glide bombs vastly eclipses the 30km range that is the maximum that the pod has for designating target points.

Sometimes you can make exceptions for tanks with extremely memorable and easy to destroy ammo racks, like side profile attacks against king tiger ready racks.

I honestly think that the T/W ratio problem is a bigger problem for close range combat for the Su-30. Thrust vectoring can let you do some silly turns, but fundamentally it's very similar to what the harrier and yak-141 could do via VIFFing. It's almost a gimmick trick like the stationary VTOL planes being untargettable by PD radar. A trick that catches people by surprise if they're not expecting it, but isn't very meta. Most of the crazy TVC clips end with the flanker crashing into a hill. It just doesn't have the T/W to quickly recover from the cost of burning all of that energy.

In contrast, while it lacks the T/W ratio to give ideal launch conditions for its fox3s, it has the advantage in terms of sheer quantity of missiles. You can more than afford to take shots that probably won't hit. A lot of players are dogshit, so you get a surprising number of long range hits. It's almost like the meme 70km phoenix launches. They shouldn't hit fighters at that range, but you can farm retards all day like that. Even against the competent opponents, they still need to respect the missile. A long range 77-1 can force a competent opponent into a defensive posture that makes them more vulnerable to follow up 77-1's and 27ETs.

The Su-30 also has a neat bag of tricks for the 2nd-spawn situation where survivors RTB to resupply with only ~2-4 stragglers on each team. The 27ER is almost unique in that it is one of the only missiles where you can manually reacquire a lock after launch. This makes it hard to notch since if the opponent dares to leave the notch you can simply reacquire target again. Alternatively you can safely shoot an ER at an opponent that is furballing a teammate since you can easily kill the lock if it goes for the teammate or tard wrangle it onto the correct target. 27ETs are great for killing runway campers, and the kh38ML is another option for runway campers if you are a supreme memelord.

Insane how hard the game sucks when the matchmaker decides to fuck you. Coastal can be fun, until it decides to uptier you into 4.x destroyers every match with a Douglas spawning opposite every match. Same thing with destroyers getting fed to heavy and now battle cruisers. Though when you get the rare full downtier in something like a Knox it’s a bit retarded after the HE fuse change. I’d say it should go up but with the mess they’ve made of 5.x this update I think it’s more other stuff needs to go down, but can’t because of coastal. They really just make shit worse every time they touch something.

whether thats worth 45 snailbucks to you i cant tell, its not an efficient grinder and other than Mog/EB/Col(LG in a pinch) the tree isnt really worth investing in unless you're a francophile
Dunkerque is nice, but no real match for her usual opponents, and the future (Rich and Jean, one of them probably an event reward because fuck you) isnt gonna be great either unless anton decides France is gonna be (one of) the first trees to get a proper 1940s battleship
and even then its just a matter of time before the bigger boats will eclipse them

Belt is 13”@15 with a 2” turtleback, good turret and barbette protection. South Dakota probably edges it out a little but shell rooms are an artificial Achilles heel currently so those being in the barbette is a weakness. Bismarck beats it on armor. The guns will have good performance but very possible a terrible reload. South Dakota will probably have a 2rpm, but could possibly go 2.5 if they accept Iowa’s firing clock since they claim to discount elevation time in loading and the mounts were materially nearly identical in loading arrangements. Bismarck probably gets at least Bayern’s 2.3, but possibly up to 3 if the wherb out and only care about shell supply rate.

it was a brainfart turned brief technical evaluation in which they concluded there was no way the metallurgy or barrel harmonics wouldn't fuck it and either told Hitler that directly which he must have then accepted or they talked around the issue until they were able to never mention it again. The only possible use is to physically joust enemy tanks to death if barrel physics were to be added.

It really just boiled down to the A7V just being a monster compared to everything else. The firing arc alone made it much better than the competition, but then the German 57mm had way more HE filler, way more crew and placement inside the vehicle, much harder to ammo rack. The only downside to it being how tall it was. You could just take the A7V in the open and even if you were caught off guard you could still aim your gun properly and even angle. The moment you take the Chamond in the open you were either killed immediately or your ability to turn was disabled and you cant aim with like 10 degrees of gun traverse. The Mark V was pretty tanky for what it was, but having to select the guns was awkward and the Germans had the better version with the German 57mm on top of the A7V. The best bet was to just thin the A7V numbers and hope the German side quit or ran out of SP before getting caps.

its because every american airplane has fuckoff bombloads especially pgms like mass sdbs out the wazoo making it incredibly easy to quickly roll up all the objectives and win the match. all the a-10s are incredibly popular and all of them are perfectly suited for the type of cashit ground objectives in asb. f-15e's can zip in, dump 24 sdbs at fuckoff ranges and rtb before anyone can intercept them if they also have any amount of cap in the way (they usually do because blufor is popular)

Also, the fact that Bandai Namco haven't invested resources into remasters of the PS2 trilogy is proof they're retarded and hate money. Especially given how well AC7 sold despite being kind of half baked. You might have had it on the wrong control scheme. I forget what they call it but I think it's like "arcade" controls which may even be the default in some of them if I'm not mistaken. It leans much heavier into the arcade flight experience but it definitely has manual roll controls. I wouldn't blame you for dropping it if it didn't. Ace Combat is basically a Japanese attempt at emulating the Top Gun feel and experience (imagine a flight sim getting the Call of Duty treatment) combined with Star Wars OT. There is the equivalent of the "trench run to destroy a super weapon scene" at the end of every game. It actually came full circle with the release of Top Gun: Maverick because the mission they're training for and building up the entire movie is literally your average late game Ace Combat mission and they also collaborated on a pretty dope DLC pack like 3 years after the game came out. It's my favorite gaming franchise alongside Hitman and I can't recommend it highly enough if you like planes and don't hate anime.

I played 7 and then 4, 5, 0 and 3 on mouse and keyboard. You can get by with a controller but as expected, aiming the guns is nigh-impossible. The millisecond you switch to K&M your guns turn from a gimmick to one of your most reliable weapons.

Maybe I'll try kbm sometime. I never felt like I had a problem with guns on controller though. I played Project Wingman (also highly recommend) on controller too and the guns are insanely good in that game. I think the guns in AC7 just kind of suck in general. Maybe it had to do with balancing the multiplayer mode.

What are you grinding? I recently played the PzH 2000 for the first time in a while because I got a SPG kills task and I forgot how busted it was. You're consistently fighting interwar heavies with 10+ second reloads and low velocity shells compared to your LRF and 5 second autoloader. Also, 8.0 Germany is a nasty lineup so keep grinding homie.

I don't give a rat's ass how good or bad the F-35 is IRL but it WILL suck ass in this game and there will be exactly 0 reason to play it over the F-22A. The stealth meme doesn't matter at the in-game distances against contemporary PESA/AESA radars, and besides the avionics, it's fucking horrible in terms of both loadouts (6 A2A missiles max of which 2 are AIM-9s so you're looking at 4 ARHs at the most) and flight performance (0 shits were given about it during development, it's a missile bus through and through).
That aside, yes, every line in every tree is between 1 and 2 planes away from the very top contenders.

I usually don't care which side wins the match or the RP bonus for winning. I'm clearly most interested in PvP, and that is where ASB shines. I can stomp about 80% of the players without blinking an eye, but when I run into a guy on the other team who knows what he's doing, then it becomes a game of us trying to keep the other off our attackers. I've had some fun and exciting dogfights, and for me, that is what the game is about. I also play Il-2 and DCS, but I think that WT's ASB is the most fun of the three.

On planes without HOBS and/or IRCCM missiles and a very limited supply of missiles, HMD is as good as worthless. The value of a single missile is way too high to sling them willy nilly when you only have 2-4 of them yet they're also trivial to flare, which together dictates that you MUST cherry pick the absolute most optimal launches well in advance, meaning you have no need for what HMD offers - quick and dirty target acquisition.

V2 and V3 have less drag but are otherwise functionally identical, V3 turns a little better at speed, but I cant notice it. V1 has those dopey wing nacelles that seem to be a bullet magnet and cut your thrust in half as soon as they get clipped.
V3 has the stupid piggy nose like you get on a MiG, V2 has the wingroot air intakes like on some early American jets, and therefore looks coolest.

The T20 is surprisingly goated in uptiers. I'm taking it up in my 6.7 lineup and you're able to outmaneuver basically all enemy mediums (including the T34) and with the stab and low profile you can catch niggers off guard.
it's insane how massively more mobile it is than the M4A3E8 despite being only very slightly lighter with the same engine. I'm sure it's a coincidence.

Absolutely no reason to take it. Against unarmored targets, API works just as well, but introduce even the slightest bit of protection (just metal sheets that don't even count as armor in the X-ray is enough) and I becomes buttfuck useless.

so maybe try that plane in AB sometime. you have to use it at the appropriate point in most missions. it's probably not a great first plane for many reasons, but among them is that you have the me262. its has a lower BR (so you can bring it with no penalty) and you can use it to quickly go to the ground. The 5.7 me262 is almost a guaranteed First Strike plane. This draws better planes low (most things are better than it, haha). Yes, your shitty me262 will die eventually, but then you creep in with the Dorito later and its over. Everything of lower BR will die to a spaded Ho229 if youre good, its just such a sick plane (at the same BR, i would fear the yak-17 though!). Its very similar to the me-163B, so maybe try that out for a bit in Arcade to get the feel for the play (extremely close kills like <.3km since youre a super out-turner and are almost immediately behind anyone who approaches you)

Just dont bring it as ur first plane, as its slow and an obvious target, and once its dead ur sad and mad about it

i love it, its a noob terrorizer and annihilator

I use it by my lonesome all the time. It's really handy for pinpointing the locations I'm looking at on the minimap and invaluable for indirect firing when your sight is positioned too low to give you a clear LoS but your ballistics allow you to lob the shells over the hill.

Has to be a toss-up between the GSh-30-6 and the GAU-12/U. Both have excellent volume of fire but it's hard to choose between the former's nuke rounds and the latter's demented muzzle velocity and energy retention. is anyone able to get nvidia photo mode 'super resolution' to work? it used to be called nvidia ansel and would let you scale up screenshot resolutions
yes i know the game isnt open, when i open it the resolution slider disappears completely and only lets me select filters
