Why are Allied races so poorly mishandled? Not only are most of them just cosmetic changes to existing races, but you also have to go through a retarded unlocking method to get them in the first place. Like, if I was a brand new player who just made an account and logged onto WoW for the first time in my life and I did all of this because I saw the Earthen in TWW trailers and really wanted to play as one (for some reason), you’re telling me I have to make a character first, do all the leveling shit and multiple gay little quest lines at or near the endgame content and only THEN can I make the character that was supposed to be a selling point but now he starts at level 10 and I have to go all the way through all the shit I already spent countless hours leveling through AGAIN just to have him at the same point that my original character used to unlock him is at? Whose fucking retarded idea is this? At least they cut the rep grinds out from previous expansions.

yes you have to play core wow before you play esoteric meme WoW.

Allied races have a different start, no zones of their own, start at level 10 with full green gear, actually a big deal if you dont have looms. Just get dumped into the world with no tutorial or anything cus its assumed you already know. They are not for noobs.

and getting them is EASY now.
I unlocked Nightborne AND velfs AND lightforged in legion.

Legend. I main Gnomes for Alliance, jumped right on board Mecha's for the variety.
Mechamonk's are the best for their clamped nut-punching ability, and I will not be hearing any argument for any other race.

After I hit 3k I'll start working on my next alt. It has to be something that will surely be giga busted in season 3. Here are my best bets:
>Holy Pala
Been uber shit but always scales well. Great shot at being the top healer if numbers are buffed and tier set is good.
>Feral druid
Very boring to play but hidden op even now. While boomkin will get the axe, feral might become the new motw bringer.
>Demo lock
A complete pile of shit spec reliant on haste and weak auras. Horrible rotation but pumping very hard if played right
>Bear druid
Complete truck of a tank. Literally cannot die and nothing is tankier except VDH, but that's just because its broken.
>MM hunter
Doing respectable aoe and with the right tier set and scaling can become a giga chad.

Leveling in modern wow is easy because you're born in heirlooms with bags and gold.

When you're level 6 wearing whites 3 kobolds will kill you.

People post things I don't like here every single day. Borderline furry porn, off model AI spam that is guro as often as not. Stream orbiter garbage, People shilling other, often competing games. And unless it gets to the point of drowning out WoW discussion, I say little or nothing. And I don't demand they stop, because I know the thread is not mine to gatekeep. It is a socially regulated, unowned space. It does not belong to me. It does not belong to you either. It's content is not yours to control.

And as much as scaliethighs here seems to trigger you, other people seem to really enjoy her. I certainly do. She's my newest 80 but has immediately become one of my favorite alts. SO, she's not going anywhere, anytime soon.

if other tanks had as much cc as vdh i would take them. we're already at that point in the season where blizzard needs to balance or the meta becomes the rule. why is unholy dk allowed to be so much better than everyone else? not only in damage but they are also the tankiest and they're required for high keys. why is oracle disc priest also required because their shields are so strong? is blizzard just gonna let it stay like this? it's not healthy for the game the longer it goes on more people will give up with the season

They're easily the most lively in animation.
Which is kind of ironic when they're also moving somewhat robotically, but it does show they're not just a straight copy+paste reskin job like majority of the other allied races. The wide majority of their animations are different from the regular Gnomes, which was just... so unnecessary for their size and player count, but I love they did it anyway.

The problem is the landscape in which the game is on. We don't use different modifiers for raid/M+ and it really shows up. Blizzard will generally always priorities raid>M+ when it comes to tuning although over the years they have started being abit more sensitive to the M+ situation (atonement finally getting the hidden modifier it needed like a year ago for keys). This is the same company that removed shuriken combo from sub rogue for an entire expansion without giving them something to help with their AoE.

Theres also the issue that better players will play better specs which perpetuates that spec being strong.

I don't deny PI is valuable when slammed on a boomy or a UHDK. Oracle is overwhelmingly good atm as well, and even if oracle gets nerfed, voidweaver is still an S. Yeah but wasn't shadow performing well in the raid (i know echo and limit ran one and it got nerfed)? If we used different values for abilities between raid/M+ it would allow better tuning. The issue there is it feels "video gamey"(or some other word blizz devs will say not to use it). I definitely feel bad for people who are forced to swap, and I think if a player feels like they need to swap from BiS X class to Y class 4 ilvls lower and gain noticeable performance thats a huge issue with the game. I would probably say brewmaster is even worse cause its shit everywhere. Blizz balances incredibly poorly for a game made in 2025 and it will just make M+ and raid metas worse and worse

Upgrade system isn’t really convoluted it just has 3 pointless layers that are literally completely fucking worthless from the get go. Nothing before runed is worth spending unless you’ve hit valorstone cap. Otherwise, save them to turn them all into runed/gilded at a later point.
Crafting is definitely weird to someone new to it but it’ll all click the more you do it. It’s not half as bad as it seems and is rather fun once you figure it out.

I agree. With upgrades, it used to be that you earned your valor points and got your shit from the vendor or whatever. Now you have to have enough stones and crests and the right kind of crests in the proper amount for the item level. It's tedious and overly complicated to only get a couple more item levels.

Crafting is a complete shitshow imo. Why the fuck do I need 75 storm dust for one goddam enchant? If you want your shit to be worth anything you have to do all this refining of materials which means you need to either gather or buy a ridiculous amount of mats. If you want to make anything that's above the crappiest level you have to get all this profession equipment and worry about skill points and getting things to proc. In olden times the higher level crafts might involve a lot of rare stuff, but the grading of mats just makes things laborious.

People can say, "Hurr durr skill issue filtered," all they want but you all know I'm right.

Priory has a LOT of healer skill checks. First miniboss in the big pull keeping people up so they don't die to thunderclap+aoe combo, managing tank debuff+aoe+pounce bleed overlap on first boss, quickly healing the group up between multiple divine tolls, keeping the group alive on braunpyke miniboss, single target healing people with the lightspawn beam, etc.

How do we feel about the Hallowfall Arathi? Something about them has always felt off to me. They're always rambling about their religion and being all judgemental and shit. We'll probably end up allying with them once Blizz gets to the "Light Bad" expansion though. I honestly wish my characters could just murder them all eventually.

They have really sick mogs though. Their aesthetics are top notch.

Ideally m0 would be for them. damage happens but it's never enough to really kill anyone so you can spill your spaghetti and still be okay. but devs are fucking retarded and made m0 the equivalent to an old +10, you can do it only once a week and it's not able to be queued. if they made it permanently queueable with farmable veteran gear and also maybe brought back/updated stuff like proving grounds then people wouldn't just be thrown to the wolves with the expectation that they had 20 years of experience or are an autistic zoomer wow savant.

I suggest you attempt to get to know me outside of thread banter then. This place creates a whirlwind of reactions because I have been a very polarizing character for starters, I didn't start off the best here, and it's not like this place is the most inviting. I have been blacklisted since starting the VERY OBVIOUSLY FAKE trollanon rumor.

I am very amicable, but you would need to get to know me, especially through voice chat, but if all you can read is text, then you have no idea of the type of person I am.

That is why I press for making amends and talking over voice. This is what I wouldve recommended to Maye, Bake, Globofomo.

I mean, do you not see that I'm not a continually hateful person? It's been that for the past week and some change that I've had boughts of on and off contempt because we cannot amend and settle this drama...as the globofomo side doesn't want to budge.

If you ahd simply popped up in the thread and asked for a ginvite you would have had it, but thats not what you did. You keep doing it and every time you do another lock gets added to the door keeping you out.

No amount of screaming crying tantrum throwing or pretending to be wronged and abused will alter this. The only thing that MIGHT is you altering your behavior, fucking apologizing for shitting up the thread so much and acting like a fucking adult for a while. No one wants a tantrum throwing brat with an avowed enjoyment of artificial drama in their guild.

Like fucking listen to yourself you act like this "threat" of yours has some weight.

I didn't want this to be the case, so I did try to reach out ingame, and wound up being more obnoxious.

I can and will take accountability. I just don't believe it can reliably happen here as this place is fluid and ambiguous...who knows, even an apology message would probably be scrubbed by a janny for "offtopic"
