>>521055054>A bigger issue with M+ currently is how cancerous the community has become and is demanding only ~10% of the specsThis is a self perpetuating cycle thats only gonna be broken by action from blizz.
Whats going on is that meta chasers are driving on non-meta chasers into other content, ironically the viablility of raiding and delves as gear sources is helping this.
The M+ community is so toxic that anyone who isnt a toxic meta chaser is jumping to some other content ruled by a less toxic community/less meta bound environment. The result is a Higher and higher ratio of toxic meta chasers in M+ groups, accelerating the cycle. It started in Dflight, but I can see it happening more in TWW, to the point that I have completely unplugged from M+ now.
I did a shitton on M+ in Legion, a Lot of M+ in BFA, I started losing interest in Slands, but that was do to a variety of factors. the First seasons of Dlfight I got back into it a bit, but the meta-slavery was palpable and I drifted back out. In TWW I have barely touched it, but every time I have tried its just been instant toxic meta. Like not "would prefer meta class/spec" its "will invite nothing but meta class/specs" "will kick you for having a deviated build of your meta class spec" "will shit pants if the route is not EXACTLY what the guide says" And this is like in baby keys. Like Unhinged Meta slavery in a 5.
I unironically think that blizz needs to cut the balls off M+ in some way. Like caps keys at 12 or somesuch. To just murder this tryhard mindset where everyone acts like theyre pushing + 26 at MDI. The pve community is being poisoned wholesale by "Professional Gamer" syndrome. Delves are not so popular because delves are amazing, they are merely OK, delves are popular because they provide a vector for non-toxic pve players to gear decent gear without having to play a strict meta. If anything Improve delve gear to suck the pop out of M+ and force M+ies to be less autistic about groups.
