Is there any reason at all to play brewmaster in this game.
>Takes the most damage
>Low utility
>One of the shittiest raidbuffs (most damage is magic)
I swear its been like this since the legion rework, with only some special outliers because of busted interactions with trinkets etc.

You will be spending all your time doing higher APM to do what other tanks can do easier, better, and faster. Stagger is *okay* for tankbusters but with most mobs do little baby hits that stack up, DoTs, and magic damage, you simply die to a million cuts that Stagger does fuck all to help.

That's what my unbound auxiliary bar is usually for. I also forgot to mention I picked lightsmith. I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and bind alt+1-5 to get everything on a key (I only have 24 buttons bound because of terminal warriorbrain)

Probably prefabs they pulled from. As someone who used to level design near professionally, it's not unlike a level designer to have presets to pull from when designing an area...and because they're not a scene or contained zone, this makes the most sense.

RP realms are the worst servers and the best servers at the same time. They have the best communities by far and people are actually social, but sometimes you run into ERPers. WrA is awesome and I wouldn't play on a non-RP server despite the occasional weirdo.

Their "self healing" is literally just making healing on them more effective right now, which is only really good when your under heavy load. Alot of the time tanks have to do with just random aoe healing (atonement etc), but brews requires more attention more of the time.

Contrast to DK which feels like if you can see their runic power, as long as they have RP they won't die, or prot warrior where they tend to die slowly.

I think the issue is fundamentally brewmaster identity doesn't work properly and needs like 30% of the spec changed minimum. These issues also get worse in dungeons anyway with garbage tank players. Of course retards will say shit like "git gud" as a cope for the design (i actually have gotten an 100 parse on mythic prog boss b4 as brew when i was offspeccing it), and the "voices of our tanking community" (liquit maximum), cant even play the spec well.

The funny thing about Sylvanas powerwank is that...she DOESN"T have any kind of powerup unless I missed something. In WoW they seem to have mixed up "power" with "I was behind your plans all along, two steps ahead!!". So when Sylvanas kills Saurfang, or Bolvar, or beats up Tyrande (who actually needs a powerup" she's not using any special magical energies or transformations. It's just normal ranger shit, it's just that it works on people who should have turned her into a fine red mist several times over for no reason.

Secondly, unless you've been around for BC, you never meet them, apart from a few encounters here and there that are totally forgettable. Finally, the little we do see of them, they exude no aura, no charisma.

I think its because they have no clue how to change brewmaster, also tanks/healers have generally had much larger balance deltas than DPS do as well because you can't just look at a tank on WCL and go yep its good. Realistically how do you expect them to expand on Delves in 12.0 and beyond? It's pretty clear they've been a massive success especially for casual players, solo players, or people that don't enjoy the m+ shitshow. I definitely think they're going to expand on them more in the future. I mean in 11.1 already we can get Gilded crests from T11 delves.

You'd need to do that for pretty much every ability.
You'd also trade fast dungeons for actual hyper slogs where you CC every pack and never pull more than 1 pack so you are "safe" which everyone fucking hates, M+ is a balance of risk and reward, the reward of pulling 6 packs is the damage output they have killing you and the reward is the time save, without a timer this becomes a simple risk with no reward (other than doing your key in 30 minutes, instead of 1h).
And once more, the timer looks like a timer but it is actually a death counter before your dumb ass hits 14s+ it is very, VERY hard to deplete a weekly key because DPS is low, you are depleting because you are dying which rapes the timer.

That said, I'm not a big fan of hyperpulls in this age when blizzard actively wages a war with players by adding more and more stupid mechanics to trash to make multi-pulls as dangerous as possible.
But then to beat the timer, you have to do these gigapulls because otherwise you're not beating the timer.

You are beating the timer in 10s by doing single, maybe double, pulls and never dying.
You don't need hyperpulls (3+ packs) for your weekly shit, at most pulling 2 things together, you need hyperpulls in 12 onwards because of HP scaling but once you hit past weekly stuff you are in for the CBT/bragging rights.

Pic related is the hyperpulls you are hyper ventilating (heh) about, this shit will deplete a 10 and is only required at a +16-18 level because of the insane HP scaling things have which means you need to abuse AoE damage.

However theres been powerful raid gear thats unique to raid since Eternal Palace (font/azshara staff/Divers folley), however raid is the best way to get the best gear to do high level maze+. You also tend to reach the apex of power alot faster in raids as well, like you look at billy and hes got mostly raid gear on and hes the top doer in the world.

The guild wiped on Queen for 2 weeks, hundred of tries, the gm decided to do a secret raid on a non raid day with only his clique (bad player or not) and they killed it.
The raid day comes and none of the guy that killed the boss shows up, now the guild raid has not enough tank & healers.

Fun is subjective. I like Guardian, VDH and Paladin. Warrior has no utility so it's kind of boring, all you do is maintain 2 buffs and then crank DPS. BDK is one of the most complex because you're juggling 3 resources and if you botch the first few seconds of a pull you are fucked. Brew is fun but is currently bad in M+.

Genuinely I would say every 4-5 dungeons I get a tank that rarely hits/doesnt hit their active mits in 10s-12s. I would say on average the best tanks have been for me to heal are Gdruids because they can fuckup pretty badly but they wont immediately fold like a lawnchair even if they dont have ironfur up, as long as they spend their rage on anything other than maul.

The expacs being based off MCU movies would also explain why WoW's overall plot was so messy, going from "cosmic space adventure" in Legion, to "global faction war" in BfA (which no one predicted and was incredibly out of left-field), and then back to "cosmic space adventure" in SL.

That's also why SL was being heralded as "the end of an era", "the closing of a chapter" etc. - because that's what Infinity War & Endgame were to the MCU.

Hell, even now, TWW/Midnight/TLT are part of the "Worldsoul Saga", which is quite clearly inspired by the MCU splitting its films into sagas, e.g. "The Infinity Saga".

Metzen and many others at blizzard have spoken at length about their development process and how it has been since pretty much the beginning. They don't finish one expansion then start "brainstorming" for the next. By the time an expansion comes out they are already mid production on the next. Because the game's suffered more or less 20 years of villains being written to be dumb just so the good guys can have their victories.
Having a villain survive more than 1 expansion is a rarity in World of Warcraft. Especially a villain who's at least succeeding in some goal.
It's the difference between AU Gul'dan and Azshara.
Gul'dan feels like a memorable and successful villain because despite always being on the run from (you) and Khadgar. It was very much a back and forth during WoD and he was victorious enough to kick off Legion.
Meanwhile you got Queen Job'shara who shows up every few expansions to remind you she exists and she's untouchable, before she does something stupid on screen and gets owned. Then proceeds to get away without dying cause the writers have a soft spot for her which makes her seem all the more pathetic.
Xal'atath despite us knowing she's surviving till Midnight doesn't feel like a Gul'dan, she feels like another Azshara.

Game's only really had two objective successful villains in it's 20 year life-cycle desu. And the truth of the matter is, that they're both Orcs from the same era of the game's life. That being Garrosh and Gul'dan.
Iridikron has potential, but given how quickly they've fumbled Xal'atath despite her big return, it's hard to see them doing anything but fumbling Iridikron when they use him more.
