pre-nerf it was a no brainer to grind the USSR tree. Now it's borderline unusable, you lose turnfight to fully laden phantoms and your only trick are the R24R, that you cannot really use if niggers are with terrain on the background

stab works under 24kmh, you dont need the rangefinder, learn the ballistics (absolutely vital since the 75mm has a pretty low muzzle velocity and drops quickly).

The value of some vehicles comes not from how good they are at the dogshit rudimentary gamemodes gayjin haven't changed a bit since mudshit tech demos over a decade ago but how iconic they are. I don't care about most premium/event protoshit garbage they shit out because those vehicles mean nothing to me, these WWI tanks are worth a whole lot more than any of them not because they're good but because they're freaking WWI tanks, a very important piece of history.

This infantry actually has decent animations, looks good and can throw grenades. The only common thing between those is that both the new and the old infantry can only be damaged by direct hits so HE is worthless against them.

Why would it? You were able to shoot at people and "knock them out" for over a decade with open-top vehicles and for longer yet with AI infantry on some Air maps, how is this infantry any different? This argument was always fundamentally retarded because it completely ignored the existent elephants in the room. Even if they let you play as infantry it wouldn't be any different so long as the words "dead" and "kill" weren't used and there was no blood.

The F-15E is just the missile bus variant of the F-15C that's good at climbing fast, going fast and slinging missiles in BVR and not much else. Mind you, those are arguably the most valuable traits for the average ARB match but this playstyle is incredibly boring and you just job to everything that isn't a MiG-29SMT (poor thing) in WVR. I'd say for the F/A-18C, it's a much more distinct plane, if worse for ARB.

Imagine they implemented it for regular GRB so that the tanks have to keep an eye out for little AI infantry squads lurking about the place. as the BR increases they will get progressively better AT weapons, so you have the grenades at BR1.0, through AT rifle grenades, Panzerschreks, AT guns, and then only recoilless rifles, Carl Gustavs, RPG's, through guided missiles like the Fagot, Konkurs and MILANs and eventually onto top attack shit like Javelins.
Imagine the pure salt it would cause.

probably gonna put squads of AT infantry at well know camping/ambush spots so you're either gonna give away your position by clearing the position (or the AI spotting you), die, or decide to keep moving and die 10s later because the map is tiny

Getting score as Entente is way easier if you just focus on shooting down aircraft. The Garford makes for a semi-decent AA, both with its main gun against Zeppelins and the MGs against fighters.

I find I can usually make ~2000 by pushing A with the chamond at the start, sniping A7s as they push and then using the bomber for free kills. I haven't used the tractor because it seems kind of shit and always gets stuck.

I tried to make Garford work yesterday but even if I hit the A7V's superstructure it doesn't do much beyond killing 2/18 crew. Couldn't get it to overpressure at all and the steep angle made even the HE ricochet off the gratings above the main crew compartments.

How come there is no Austro-Hungarian Representation in the event?

I want my Skoda 305mm howitzer pulled by a tractor.
With Gaijin buffing the St Chamond to basically be a WW1 TD, the central powers need something to balance things out.

None of the WW1 tanks will ever be good for event grinding with how fucking slow and thinly armored they are.
The FT-17 could have at least been something good but Gaijin doesnt want us to have good event vehicles anymore.

They added an extra 20mm of pen to it's APHE shell and the A7V had it's internal armor changed from RHA to structural steel.

Since the update dropped early this morning, the St. Chamond is consistently able to penetrate the A7V from flat angles.

The A7V is arguably closer to being the worst tank considering how many men it uses for a single vehicle.

You could literally field two Mark Vs and leave two men spare for a single A7V

They are Germans, they either forget that, or someone is going to flank them.
The big weakness with the A7V is that it realistically can only effectively deal with one enemy at a time with no ability to commit to defending it's self against any flankers while still guarding against a St. Chamond.

HEATFS is extremely powerful against ye-olde steel armor. Enough that for a while in war thunder we called it CHEATFS. But the advent of composite armor and ESPECIALLY ERA disproportionately fucks over HEATFS compared to APFSDS. These days there is a very thin br bracket where HEATFS is great and then it drops off a cliff.

As a broad general rule of thumb I think user preference can be used when picking between early HEATFS and APDS, but even shitty APFSDS should be considered preferable to HEATFS for general usage. The one except is if you are within matchmaking range of Maus. In this case you might want a few HEATFS if it has greater pen since the maus has shit tons of steel but is too old to have the composites that fuck over HEATFS.

It's also worth noting that HEATFS can be preferably against paper thin go-karts that APFSDS can straight up over pen with minimal effect.

While the there are a handful of low br tanks where HEAT is their best option, the majority either have some flavor of APHE that is better or an xbawks huge HE round that can just brute force things to death with raw explosive power.

The bong reasoning was that tank VS tank combat was a very small part of a tank's role on the battlefield and that HESH and a few other types of ammo fired from the rifled barrel would overall be more useful most of the time. This does not translate well to a game where tanks do nothing but team deathmatch other tanks.
