And it's been really rewarding work actually, I've fixed a lot of things so far. It's just the most time-consuming part of the work by like a factor of 3.
The way I've come to understand the process is that:
>Translation is getting the rough but accurate version of a sentence down. >Editing is finding the best, most perfect version of that sentence. And I'm a perfectionist by nature, so when I edit it takes me a lot longer, so I can consider all the versions of a sentence that are potentially viable. And there's no one I trust enough to unload that work on, hence "an editing hell of my own creation".

I finished Raiha's route a while ago. Not a big fan of how sex took over a majority of the story's focus, and not even the finale could save itself from that because they simply went back to fucking soon after. This may be the most nukige-ish route I've seen from this VN so far. At least the others I've read had some other pressing issues other than sex when they weren't fucking.
