They were so bad too they got bonked off a platform (we were doing top) ay yayayaya the tank and I basically cleared the dungeon. Several times 3/5 people died (like not popping a defensive or self-heal during soulstorm) leaving only the tank and I to clean up. We still timed it though cuz I'm chadhancement so everything just falls over. SP is like .... A shell of itself from df somehow.

Been having blue screens again lately, and I can't find anything in my Event Viewer anymore. It's really fucking annoying, I know with Blops 6 it was happening because of NVIDIA's drivers, and the last 2 times I was able to fix it, it was thanks to uninstalling Win11 Quality Updates and the second was uninstalling Google Play Games. I don't know what the fuck happened to make this be a problem for me, I know Windows has always had it's issues, but I bought a 2060 after my RX 580 cause of how bad AMD drivers got. This is dumb.

every time I try to get into classic (or turtle) again i end up bouncing off due to just how fucking slow it is
i forget which expansion it was, tbc or wrath, where they nerfed the experience needed to go from 1-60 by like a third and boy it was needed
there's a level range in classic in like, the late 30s i think, where you legitimately just run out of quests to do and literally end up grinding mobs if you can't get dungeon groups

and people glaze this version of the game as good

Classic WoW has a lot of issues that people tend to overlook like experience droughts in leveling, shitty class balance etc.
TurtleWoW has done a good job patching up those issues by adding more quests, abilities, rebalancing etc. while keeping the game feeling authentic
I like it, I play TurtleWoW from time to time, the leveling is fun, it has new stuff that's cool

level 42 is always where i would hit burnout leveling in vanilla. Something about that level, maybe the feeling of getting your mount is wearing off, maybe you finally got that weapon you wanted, maybe the XP needed forces you through multiple zones, i dont know for sure. but level 42 is always where i just get tired and end up dropping characters for a while. Then I pick it back up and push through to 50 and the last 10 levels feel like a breeze.

You no longer have to grind or wait for timegates to open at max level in order to get your spec's passives, just level to max and pick them in the talent tree.

I purposely stole my old vanilla guild from the dumb bitch who thought she could take it because some of my dad's characters were in it and I wanted to keep that for comfy happy memories. After he died I stole his main and xfered it to my account cuz they let you do that back then if the last names on the accounts were the same or something like that and I still cherish that char. I log into that guild on occasion to post some auctions and I see his little old Vanilla druid and warrior and get hazy-eyed cuz I miss him. I'd be very upset if blizzie took that away.

It's crazy to think about the fact this is a 20 y/o game with so many memories and emotions tied into it and is still going and will still keep on going for a long time ..... yikes.

basically, a lot of time and resources went into making the warcraft movie around the time wod was also being developed
kotick thought that it was a horrible idea to start working on the movie instead of continue to develop games
this also caused metzen to burn out, by having to split himself between movie sets, scripts and all the shit that comes with making a movie, and also multiple franchises. so he quit shortly after
anyway a few years ago, kotick sent metzen the blueprints for the next expansions. metzen said that they're not good and have to be redone
which then prompted kotick to beg him to come back and fix shit. he also thinks that metzen is the creative soul of blizzard as a whole, not just warcraft
so yeah. tldr mismanagement, dumb allocation of resources, burnout
even though kotick is a shitty greedy gremlin, that interview gives good insight

Devastation has a huge defensive problem since Dragonflight S1, the class takes so much damage compared to others in high key that it's not worth to bring one when the mage can BL and do the same aoe damage with actual defensive cd. If it's not taken in high keys, it means no one meta fotm reroller will play, so lower representation.

I've only had issues with either the game crashing or the display driver crashing resulting in ~15 seconds of my system having a stroke until the driver reinitializes and the display returns to normal - sometimes the game crashes after this happens as well and sometimes it doesn't. The performance overall is very bad, feels like the game is running just as bad as it did in 2004. It amazes me sometimes how all this technology has gotten so much better yet this clowncar junker of a game that's 20 years old and has more mileage on it than all of onlyfans still runs like shit and just as badly as it did when it was new.
