If Blizzard decides not to do anything about it then they're essentially saying that you're allowed to fuck over all future hardcore events and Blizzard won't do shit. Nobody is ever going to organise any large events in hardcore, which is free advertising for WoW, if a simple ddos will make them lose their character without Blizzard doing shit. It's a retarded business decision if they don't restore characters lost to Blizzard's own server issues or a ddos.
I can't imagine a world in which Blizzard won't come up with a announcement before the end of the week about the change in policy regarding server issues.
