This is actually Sajam's fault.
He knew he couldn't release a game without rollback netcode. He even mentioned it in his video. "This engine doesn't support anything but limited delay netcode. So this is just the prototype"
In his mind, he had to get Hajuul Pardinash to build the game in Unity with state of the art GGPO or else Sajam and the mantha squad would send roving death squads to his house.
This is why he tried to enlist cheez's help to get a coder with the millions from the Arizpe fortune.
But after cheez showed no interest, he felt abandoned and betrayed, knowing full well Sajam intended to ruin him.
So he just gave up.
