The shift from heal cuts to heal absorbs was an attempt to reduce healthbar swinginess in the manner you describe. MS debuffs have no cap, they just kneecap heals on you until they expire, and its very easy for an MS debuff to 'absorb' way more healing on a character incidentally than a heal absorb mechanic because of that.

I don't invite rdruids because pug druids are always gutter trash (outside of bear) but they're pretty good, esp if you don't have a boomie in your group - and you really shouldn't have a boomie below +12 or so cause they do tank damage on low keys

I have been wondering, aren't the healing absorbs as a mechanic kinda strange and unintuitive? With heal reduction you directly see your heals healing for less and hp bar not moving as much. With heal absorbs you heal but hp bar is not moving which seems confusing to me.

Where Blizzard fucked up was making them talents in the first place. The hero class idea is a good one, but it shouldn't have ever been tied to numbers. Imagine instead if they'd just given us another ten levels of talents in class and spec trees, and instead made the hero thing a reputation/covenant thing where choosing one changes the spell effects of your abilities, and grants you thematic cosmetic-based stuff that went with each hero class. You could even go further and make it an evergreen feature from there, adding one new hero class option for each class per expansion, as well as giving previous ones new unlockables tied to the new expansion's zone. Rep the hero fantasy you want, no penalties, and another thing for fans to speculate on and be hyped for as everyone theorycrafts which hero variant will drop for their class next expansion.

Picked up Disc after MW got nerfed. This shit is so easy it's laughable. I think the Horde equivalent was Wayfarer's Rest, at least on MG. No idea how it is now.
Some have claimed the boardwalk/docks in Stormwind is also a place to find that sort of RP.
Also, maybe Duskwood? That also seems relatively popular as an alternative to avoid lag, but I haven't visited there in a while.

MW nerf is only to damage but yes current 2025 Disc is 100% retard-friendly. Probably one step above Aug in difficulty since if you somehow forget to apply atonement people might actually die.
