Well, in the previous thread someone asked how much are Otsuu's breasts compared to Snow White...they are kind of bigger, definitely. It's not a huge difference, she's not something like Yellow Heart who really has huge breasts but her chest is bigger compared to Snow White and other characters. Otsuu is one of the most endowed characters in the Mary Skelter series, along with Sleeping Beauty, Charlotte and Cinderella in Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter Finale.
Anonymous
>>518635207 I usually prefer short hair but the redhead is the best one. Green haired one is definitely my least favourite design out of all of these.
Anonymous
>>518635583 Well, redhead is Thumbelina and the girl with green hair is Sleeping Beauty, so, of course she's even bigger than Snow White. Personally I like Snow White's hair...short blue hair? Me likey. But yeah, for the most part I like the character designs in Mary Skelter.

Why are Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty together and why are they taking their clothes off?'' Assuming that they are taking their clothes of course, if one tries to make sense of the image beyond ''it's fan service'', it's weird.
Of course, the image is fine, nothing wrong with fan service that doesn't make sense or can't be explained.

Perhaps expectedly, I have very mixed, but mainly negative, feelings on Re;Birth 3's Chapter 3. It's an entire chapter that's almost nothing but pain, suffering, and humiliation for Blanc. I am told that this was written to help humanize Blanc and endear her to people, and to an extent I can understand why. It's basically all about breaking down the goddess to reveal the lonely and insecure girl within. As she is normally the least approachable of the goddesses, between her insular demeanor and her extreme temper, I suppose Compile Heart felt they needed to show her at her most vulnerable to get people to like her. My main problems are threefold. For one, in a way, it's those exact qualities that make her unapproachable that are at least part of why I love her. Her qualities combine to give her an untouchable, almost otherworldly aura that is a core part of her beauty to me. For two, if they wanted to humanize her, bring her down to earth in a sense, why did they have to do it this way? Surely there was some way that didn't involve breaking her to the point of tears. For three, what kind of fan do they think this will attract? Someone who couldn't appreciate her until they saw her reduced to a sobbing mess? Should that kind of person even be allowed to say they like her? I am reminded of Plutia's given reason for helping Blanc, and I start drawing links between this chapter and the seeming glut of sexual fan art that depicts Blanc being abused or humiliated, to the point it far outnumbers more "vanilla" portrayals. It makes too much sense. Besides Plutia's comment, there's also the fact that the foremost villain is a fat, balding businessman clearly designed after the archetypal "ugly bastard" common in rape hentai. Yes, there is fan art, commissions even, of him raping her. It disgusts me! On the brighter side, I do enjoy the designs of Lowee and Lowee Castle in Ultradimension, as well as their music.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>518648106 There's also another angle to this, and that is the clear raging hard-on Compile Heart have for Noire/PlayStation. Even though the whole mess is in large part her fault, it's never acknowledged and all the blame for escalating the situation is placed on Blanc and Lowee despite the clear signs that Blanc had no real idea why she stormed over to Lastation's border and even waited patiently at Lastation Immigration and Customs for Noire to arrive. If she actually intended to invade, she would have just crushed the guard and went straight to Lastation's Basilicom, likely with an army backing her. But she didn't, because she never really actually wanted to attack Lastation and harm innocent people. Even when three CPUs including Noire march straight into her castle chambers, she still doesn't want to actually kill them and settles for just roughing them up as a warning. Even with how much Lastation's mere existence has clearly harmed her nation, robbing her of shares and inflaming her insecurities, she never proceeds to open conflict until Noire gives her no choice. Even though Warechu and Copypaste tricked Noire into believing Lowee was responsible for the attack on her factory, they were so transparent that Noire is genuinely retarded for falling for it. The lion's share of the blame for Chapter 3's events and Blanc's fall is squarely at the feet of Black Heart and her sheer hubris and desire for conflict. But when it all goes down, it's BLANC who gets called arrogant! This despite the fact that literally two scenes ago, Noire was thinking up a scheme to throw her allies including her long-time friend Plutia under the bus to take all the glory for herself. But she is never, ever called on her sheer arrogance and her role in the conflict; it's all blamed on Blanc. It's Blanc who's forced to change. It's Blanc who has to be humbled. Never N**re, the most she ever gets is the usual "haha that's our Loner Heart".

I remember it being very popular years ago but I was an anime hater back then. I feel like it fell hard from grace because I barely see it get discussed these days, even Vocaloid fans have forgotten about it. That's why I'm questioning its quality, maybe it was just some overrated FOTM that became popular due to the fans' desire for a Miku anime? Otherwise why would people forget about it if it was so good? People never forgot about Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, or Sailor Moon, for example.

The rest might as well make random moves like a bunch of children would.
Anonymous
>>518695119 So if I'm understanding right, all Stockfish does is make sure the move "IF" thinks of is legal?"
Anonymous
>>518695193 Yes, because the moves are given in the normal chess coordinate system and can be defined as specific strings for tokenizing, which makes sure the LLM mostly interprets instruction and strings as chess oriented, not just random letters or numbers.

Age regression scenarios also tend to unsettle me in general when I think about them. Personality develops with age, so what happens when that process goes backwards? How does it feel for those subjected to it? I can't imagine it's pleasant, like years and years of experiences and memories just being deleted from your mind as you regress. It both unnerves and saddens me. Would Blanc forget everything and everyone she's met, or would there still be a lingering vague feeling of familiarity? Would she even be the same person? I'm not sure she'd feel too bad about losing her memories, because she wouldn't have the memories to know they're gone. As for personality... that depends on how far back she regresses, I suppose. But I suspect anything short of toddler age would at least have the seeds of her current personality, if not something resembling it. Perhaps more open about her vulnerabilities and having not developed her temper as a protective mechanism yet.
>>518898168 >earlier in one of the movies I mean, Ash won his very first badge by making Onyx susceptible to electricity by drenching it in water. Yes, it was bullshit. The Pokemon anime has always been extra, extra loose with the rules since day 1.

>>518898702 >The way I look at age regression is that it's gonna work one of two ways: Either it's purely physical, or there's a memory reset. I'm talking about the memory reset. From my understanding, personality/consciousness development is one part a "base" form present from birth and one part lived experiences and memories parsed through that "base". The problem with a memory reset is that while the "base" will remain, you can never truly reproduce the other part, the lived experiences. So from that point on, what develops could be a rather different person. And that's what unnerves me. Memory reset is essentially death of personality because one half of the previous personality is permanently gone. Believe it or not, Blanc's temper is one of the things I really like about her, but a memory reset creates a situation where a "new" Blanc could just not have it. That's such a prominent part of who Blanc is that could just end up completely missing, and it's a scenario that I hate thinking about. And then of course, there's the potential pain and suffering that comes from the one you love losing all memory of you. It's all just painful to think about.
Anonymous
>>518901220 It's not something I'd want to happen, mind you. Give me the choice and I'll always pick "it's purely physical." Or maybe just not at all because I know full well she'd hate to regress in age for obvious reasons.
But I don't quite see it as the same personality death that you do. To me, it's regressing to an earlier stage in her life. Like I said, I think she'd still have many of the seeds of her current personality. And I love her temper, too. It's relatable. I have a really nasty temper, myself. But at the same time, if I can be there for her, if I can give her love and support at a crucial point in her life that she otherwise couldn't have gotten, I can't deny her that. And if she grows up differently as a result, well, I'll be grateful if she's not worse off for it.

The "Steam is the only platform/only viable platform on PC" thing is a self-fulfilling prophecy that happens because few publishers consider anything but Steam. Inti Creates themselves are guilty of this, as all of their PC releases have been on Steam. Platforms don't magically become viable out of nowhere, they become viable when interest is driven to them by publishers putting their games on them. Developers like Inti Creates and Compile Heart do themselves and their fans a disservice by refusing to consider platforms that won't censor them.
Anonymous
>>518991179 >platforms that won't censor them Are there any well-known/trusted PC storefronts that won't censor them? Otherwise they're stuck coding and maintaining an entire accounts/payment/DRM system themselves and paying for the bandwidth of downloads, or trying to go through physical sales which raises its own series of business function problems (including physical storefront censorship).
Anonymous
>>518991179 >The "Steam is the only platform/only viable platform on PC" thing is a self-fulfilling prophecy that happens because few publishers consider anything but Steam. Yeah, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the multitude of alternate storefronts that have sprung up the last 15 years, all of which being poorly received and met with "no Steam, no sale" and every release caving eventually and releasing their shit on Steam.
And you know something? It's easy to see why. Aside from the tranny content moderators banning games that offend them, it's actually a really good platform. Good enough that it completely supplanted all over forms of distribution, between the numerous features catering to the users and the frequent sales. None of the competitors have measured up in that respect.
And that's why the whole idea is fucking hopeless, because if Steam won't allow some basic-ass fanservice then that's it. There's nowhere left to go.

I know this isn’t Nep related but it’s kind of relevant with the ongoing censorship against otaku media. All those people in those threads kept saying you can just release these games outside of Steam on PC but the reality is if the devs can’t release on Steam they won’t make enough money to sustain themselves in the long term. I’m glad someone at least acknowledged it in Japan that they keep getting cucked.

Personally I'm not happy with this because the success and popularity of gachas have only proved harmful to the rest of the industry. Smaller devs like Compa losing their audience to gacha, VN dev studios in bankruptcy even. It's go gacha or die for otaku games now and that's pretty sad, desu.

>>519145196 Steam (and the others) do this specifically because they believe they have these devs captive. As long as you keep releasing on Steam no matter how much they abuse you, they will see no reason to stop. This is what the Japs and people who make this point don't understand. It is only right that you cut off someone clearly displaying hostility against you and your brand, and this is true for both business and personal relationships. Steam does this because they hate Japan and they hate otakus. There is no financial or business incentive for them to do this; it''s all ideological. It's like an abusive relationship, the only winning move is to say "enough is enough" and walk away. Sometimes it's worth it to take a short-term loss for long-term integrity. It's awfully telling of what mindset Aquaplus has here by insisting they "need" Steam after everyone saw what happened to Dungeon Travelers 2. Stockholm Syndrome at its finest. They get raped by the tranny censors and just beg for more. The Japs just keep getting fucked harder and harder because they refuse to adopt the culture warrior mindset when there's clearly a culture war being waged on them. The exact same kind of abusive relationship exists between Compile Heart and S*ny. They should have cut S*ny off immediately after Mary Skelter 2, but they didn't and kept releasing their games on Goystation, and so S*ny kept censoring them because why would they stop at that point? No one's pushing back against them, and no one's dropping them over it.

It's because everyone's checking out because they're cucked out of their minds bootlicking these platforms that hate them. All the "we NEED Steam/S*ny/etc." mindset does at this point is make the weebs give up on you for gacha. Short-term costs of moving platforms is preferable to long-term brand damage. >>519290112 Fanservice has been a core part of otaku media for decades. Removing it is removing one of the major appeals of bishoujo media. Bishoujo with heavy fanservice was basically Compile Heart's brand prior to 2020. It also begs the question of if that gets removed, what's next? You already saw how basic fucking swimsuits got removed from the Switch version of Neptunia Riders. At some point you have to draw the line, or they will just keep chipping away at your integrity until there's nothing left because they hate you.
Anonymous
>>519285727 >Other way around, low-budget games need mainstream exposure the least. You couldn't be more wrong. One of the big reasons Neptunia survived this long is because of the sheer numbers of the western market propping it up. Hell, Re;Birth1's Steam port is far and away the best selling game in the whole franchise and it was carried hard by Steam's userbase being so much larger than the Vita's.
Hell, just look at the Vita in general. It was THE weeb machine in its day and still most western otaku refused to touch it. It got so bad that most publishers started making western exclusive PS4 ports of Vita games because it sold better.
NEVER underestimate the importance of a large install base.

>>519291898 Generally, a game sees the bulk of its sales during release window. Take Pokemon for example, Sword and Shield have sold over 20m since launch, but 16m of that was during the first two months on the market.
RB1 was greatly boosted by its access to Steam's install base and the sheer novelty the game had for them. It caught the attention of youtubers, too. People bought it, tried it, and given the drop off in sales with RB2, 3, VII, and beyond, most decided it wasn't for them. Being the de facto entry point and the sales gave it a smidgeon of longevity but I guarantee you Steam's large pool of users had a far greater impact. Because in an alternate world where the Steam ports didn't exist, prospective new fans would rather just drop the series than track down a Vita.

It took them one underperforming release to send them in the red, put them into a debt hole they couldn't climb out of, and now they no longer exist. Niche games need e very advantage they can muster.
>I repeat that heavy fanservice bishoujo was literally Compile Heart's brand prior to 2020. EVERY OTHER GAME of theirs had either one of those "touching minigames" or clothing damage, sometimes both. Now they have neither. It's a shame, isn't it? They had YEARS to keep making those kinds of games for the Switch, before Nintendo followed suit with the other platforms. If they had just shifted focus back in 2018, they might have been in a better position now. But maybe someone at CH had better foresight than us and realized every platform would be that way eventually. Still, it took like six fucking years before Nintendo started pulling this shit. Think of all the games we could have had in that timespan.
>And at the rate things are going, they will be forced to give up even more. It's a devil's bargain at this point. A strong likelihood of death whether they choose to submit or fight. But objectively, submitting carries the greater chance of survival. I hate it, but that's the actual reality of it. We don't live in an ideal world where fans will rally behind the last bastion of bishoujo games.
Anonymous
>>519291880 >I just think that releasing mid games is endlessly more damaging to Neptunia/Compa's image as a brand than skimping on a bit of lewdness... Spin-off hell is a Neptunia-specific problem. But every franchise of Compile Heart's has been affected by this. Genkai Tokki and Mary Skelter are dead, seemingly Mugen Souls as well. Death end re;Quest has seemingly compensated by upping the gore and violence elements, but that has already seen it denied a western Switch release. Those were Compile Heart's most popular IPs aside from Neptunia, and all of them have been severely damaged or killed by this censorship specifically targeting bishoujo games.
>Well then isn't bowing out and leaving for worse pastures the same? It allows you to keep your identity and thus the loyalty of your core base. You can build from there.
>btw, consider how little anons were willing to buy GMRE on the MS store, a very convenient, preinstalled in 80% of PCs worldwide, store. I repeat that IFI never even mentioned a PC release for that game. It's at least half their fault that it didn't sell. >Mugen Souls Was never set up to be a franchise. The first one was pretty standalone and then they gave it a sequel and that was that. It shelfwarmed hard in the west, possibly due to NISA's censorship but we'll never truly know. Regardless, it was never popular, and the only reason anyone remembers it today is because EAS pulled it from the grave for a moment to port it to the Switch.

No one lives paycheck-to-paycheck more than AAA devs now, where the profit margins are becoming ass-tight as that whole sector is teetering towards collapse. And that is in large part because they spend so much on shit like marketing/advertising, as well as outsourcing their games to hundreds of different contractors in foreign countries. As far as I know, developers like Compile Heart don't do this.
>A strong likelihood of death whether they choose to submit or fight. But objectively, submitting carries the greater chance of survival. All submitting does is make them censor you more. Nintendo probably turned the way they did because they realized there would be no pushback from the devs. Compile Heart made themselves into marks by bootlicking S*ny so hard. And basically every other bishoujo ecchi dev did the same outside of H-games. So of course fans won't rally behind the last bastion because there is no such thing. But the long-term damage from compromising their identities will catch up with these companies eventually. You're already seeing it with Compile Heart. There are assets for the purge minigame in Finale including outfits for Charlotte and Mary, suggesting it was removed late in development. And it seems awfully strange for them to suddenly discontinue Mary Skelter when it was becoming their most popular IP after Neptunia, yet they apparently have no problem continuing to milk Death end;re Quest. They haven't had an unmitigated success in a long time, but they still get to keep making shitty games. You'd think Andromeda or Anthem would have killed them, but no. A lot of these AAA devs still have reputation to trade on, and many of them have publishers eager to pick them up if they're not already under their thumb.
>And that is a far worse problem than short-term costs of switching platforms. That depends entirely on perspective, especially if it's "die fighting now" or "die submitting later."
>>519296683 I recall someone mentioning a partner company that went under or pulled out or something like that, but the actual skelterfags could tell you more than I could. So if we're not responding to IFtard's bait, gushing over our waifus or raging over censorship and the absolute state of Compile Heart and weeb games, we're just dead. Is that it?

>>519343904 Unfortunately, yes. A large part of this is kind of CH's fault whether it is them bending the knee to Sony, dragging their feet to support Switch, or just not giving fans what they want which is is a quality mainline nep title. Re;Verse most certainly didn't help matters since that was the point that a lot of people checked out.
As nice as fanservice is and would be to have, I think the fanbase wants a quality mainline title first and foremost. If people just wanted generic nep slop, the spinoffs would suffice. However, those have been selling less and less due to diminishing returns as the fanbase has grown impatient with CH not delivering a mainline game. SvS was technically mainline as it was the most effort CH put into a nep title in a while, but didn't sell super well due to spinoff fatigue (along with the sisters once again being the main characters with the face of the franchise not being in it for some time) and fan apathy thanks to said spinoff fatigue.

I'm kind of angry after the Nintendo Direct to be honest...Knowing very well what Nintendo has been doing behind the scenes and not so behind the scenes (Prototype was transparent about the censorship of the Nintendo Switch version of Kanon), they showed a lot of games and they did it, they showed us TWO anime style games that are rated M for Mature in a row (No sleep for Kaname Date - From AI: The Somnium Files and Raidou Remastered: The mystery of the soulless army)...both games have ''Sexual Themes'' as one of the content descriptors, come on! Raidou Remastered even has ''Partial Nudity'' as one of its content descriptors, so, it's a fact that like other Spike Chunsoft and Atlus games, fanservice is *one of* the reasons why they are rated M, and Nintendo not only approved those games, they even appeared in a Nintendo Direct...Shin Megami Tensei and AI: The Somnium Files are fine, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1-3 and Prison Princess: Trapped Allure are not, apparently. Damn it...

>>519374616 I haven't played genshin, so I couldn't tell you, but I like a lot of the little side quests and some of the main story stuff in ZZZ. The story doesn't really need to be too strong with neps, but the characters do, and I think they can pull it off. The dialogue and characters and combat in what I've seen are at least as good as what we get in nep games. I just want some fresh blood that can put on a good show to breathe some life into this franchise. Western devs are incapable of it, but Mihoyo stands a chance. It'd be worth it for the over-the-top cutscenes if nothing else.

So I'm hardly surprised they get some leniency. The other games, on top of being by smaller companies that are easy to bully, do not feature any of this pozz and have thus likely been designated by the censors as "chud" games and marked for especially harsh treatment.

No one should be surprised that a bigger company that may support certain ideals can get some leniency. To be fair, Mizuki's message isn't bad per se, we should live in a world where, if someone hurts a woman (for example) just for being a woman, everyone goes ''hey, that's bad, don't do it'', but the message is very forced or ham-fisted and the part of ''grab my iron pipe and beat the crap out of those bastards who tormented them'' can be considered extreme or radical. I don't like that scene and the first game has a similar scene.
So, yeah, you can have some fanservice in your anime style game...if you aren't a small company and also if you are at least a little woke...

In the case of Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos, it's a short and fun game that play like a racing game but it's not a racing game (like Crazy Taxi), the controls are fine and I consider it very fun more or less, it's also one of the few Neptunia games with a full dub (which makes sense, it's a short game), so, every line is voiced even in English.

Most governments won't invest a significant amount of money into pushing an alphabet agenda. Even the US with as much wasteful spending as it has only invests tiny amounts(in the hundreds of thousands) towards grants related to those agendas. And that often changes with regimes.
Even as bad as censorship has gotten lately, it's still better than China. And that's why you should kill yourself, you disingenuous shill.
