Just did another ending today, two down. Will probably do one more with this V before making a new V. Especially since This new pistol from Rogue seems very strong. Wouldn't wanna rely on such a blaster for too long. I let Johnny keep the body and I'm very sad. I'm beginning to realize that this is a no happy endings game.

it is a lil bit of fiddling with contrast and exposure but no effects. the lighting on that spot is really harsh and weird with changing colors, combine that with the silver/chrome pants and jacket

It's really not that complicated if you're worried about a learning curve, and I'll say if I can get handy with it on a Steam Deck, then (I assume) it should be easier for you on a desktop. Well I've finished 3 endings with this V. Popping heads with a silenced pistol and occasionally hitting the berserk button to use my katana was fun but it's time for a new V.
A V that uses that uses the loudest shotgun and revolver in existence and uses gorilla arms. A V that hates to wear suits, unlike the current one.
This is only the second time I've opened photo mode, but I wanted a photo with my two favorite NPCs before I move on. And this time I'm not letting Takemura die.

I always wished there was some sort of mechanic where enemies can recognize your car. I would always park right in fornt of gates or entrances. It'd be awesome if they had dialogues like "Hey, isn't that V's car?" once you have enough street cred and then they start shitting themselves knowing what's about to go down.

That's something that other games do and I'm surprised it didn't become the norm. MGS had the radio mechanic where enemies would regularly check in on patrols and go on alert if they notice nobody is responding, Hitman has the lockdown mechanic where targets of importance would hide or flee if combat was initiated nearby. Can't think of a single case where an enemy notices all the other guards are gone in 2077 or targets fleeing (Probably happens but I don't remember), failed stealth usually just means losing out on a bonus for a few specific gigs. Hope they innovate a little on the stealth mechanics in Orion even if I'll just spend half the time going full Cyborg Ninja on gangoons instead.

I’ve only done it once in this game. However, Cyberpunk’s stealth is nowhere near as good as Hitman’s. I managed to do a no-knockout silent assassin suit only runs on every map on Hitman (except fucking Bangkok), but Cyberpunk isn’t this flexible.

Correct. I think MGS2 started the comms checks so you wouldn't loiter around a platform for too long, not sure if it had alerts for ACK-d guards though. I know for sure 3 had it. Also, speaking of nervousness and fear: at some point the enemy should start hunting you in groups instead of scattering to find you. I decided to go cyberpsycho yesterday, 5* alert and all after killing like 40 cops, and then decided to see if I could lose it. While evading, I noticed individual mook cops going into alleys to find me... why? They know I have 20 different ways to gut them, as I did with all their buddies, why do they think they'll be the ones to nail me? This applies to gigs in gang dens. If you slaughter most of them in cold blood, the survivors should be:
>Fleeing
>Actually teaming up
>Hiding and calling for reinforcements
There's that one gig with the radio tower in the Badlands where the enemy does call for reinforcements, so they could've done it for other gigs. Like murdering a Maelstrom stronghold in their territory should result in a few cars full of Maelstrom pulling up to see what's up.

Thing about Hitman is that the maps are built around players being able to SASO even if it's super hard to do, mostly through the maps being big, open and with tons of passages. Cyberpunk's map is big and open, yes, but most locations are small and self contained with only a couple of entrances and paths to the objective. It's funny, you'd think in a cyberpunk setting being able to sneak in through alleyway backdoors or going from rooftop to rooftop would be more common (I once equipped Fortified Ankles to jump around and was disappointed that the rooftops of most buildings are empty).

Infiltration should be complex, costly and more rewarding. In Cyberpunk i find most places have pisspoor security and shitty cameras here and there, scarce use of drones, and patrols are too primitive. Same. I could spend days thinking about how things could've been done better, but then again I wasn't there to witness the dev hell this went through. That and ideasguying is easier than actually developing the game, though that won't stop me from having my issues with more foundational things such as setting, story and mechanics.

One can only hope. We already have a trailer for Witcher 4 while the next Cyberpunk doesn't even have a name or teaser yet, meaning Witcher 4 is probably more developed and going to come out before Orion. That'll be the big show of whether CDPR can make a good game in UE5, if they pull that off I'll be confident for the next Cyberpunk. Still doesn't mean they'll get money from me in the opening week, though, I don't usually preorder games.

I remember being pretty cynical about Cyberpunk the longer it dragged on, what with all those content creators getting gifted figs and posters for a game that wasn't even out yet, so the buggy launch was a big "told ya so" moment for me. I didn't even consider playing Cyberpunk until years later, only became actually interested after the DLC was announced and I realized they actually fixed the game. Probably didn't help that I wasn't the biggest fan of The Witcher. There's still some jank in the game and I still find floating enemies clipping through the roof sometimes, but nothing can compare to the mess they had on 1.0. Glad they made the game actually playable, though, would have been a shame if the Cyberpunk IP blew its first and possibly only chance to leave the tabletop.

It'd be nice if that was actually the case but the game makes it pretty clear that V is still V while making it ambiguous whether the engram of Johnny counts as Johnny. A really cool ending would be what you described, at some point you look at Johnny's hologram ghost and just see a mix of you and him, and eventually you're stuck with the Johnnyfied voice from the times when you let him take over.

From the symbology of many things inside the game + Hellman's dialogue when you interrogate him, i think the point is that everything became a clusterfuck beyond their understanding. For example, when Saburo's engram takes over Yorinobu Is basically a different case since one lives, and the other wipes out the preexisting stuff and takes over. The Desktop OS, for how much I've had to engage with it and nexusmods for the update, has kinda gotten me actually mad: I backed up my 2.13 mod folders (mod/mods/r6, etc.) for searching for stuff like Kinky's cuts, but for some reason the search finction is just straight up not working in the folders. Still works in my actual install folder, thankfully. It's completely inexplicable
I've also noticed that I can't maximize my firefox browser for some reason, which is making browsing the new (shit) nexusmods especially painful.
Really soured what was already going to be a pretty lame couple hours.

The update seems to have worked, at least. VTK and the e-girl skin weren't working, and that border on the PM UI is awful, and I'm dreading having to reconfigure everything, but, I'm here

The relic in V’s head is supposed to transport the engram (a copied soul) into a braindead (vegetable, vegetative state) host, then fix the host’s brain by reactivating it and overwriting it with the engram’s personality.

V didn’t actually die instantly, but he was going to, as the bullet that Dex fired was from too small a caliber to destroy the brain. However, that still activated the relic, thus in turn triggering the nano-thingamajigs to repair V’s brain and begin the process of overwriting it with Engram’s personality.

The overwrite process isn't instantaneous so V's neurons and memories are still here as its doing its thing. If you plug into Mikoshi V dies as Alt converts them into an engram. V only technically lives in the DLC ending I think. Kind of like SOMA

You mean the teleport locations? Those should still be in your folders and adding them back in if needed should do the trick. In-game navigate to "User Locations" and all your custom locations should be in the new tab that pops up next to it

Well it started out when I wondered how to upload/download files from my computer to my deck, so a buddy showed me this program called Filezilla. Later on when I wanted to play modded Oblivion on the Deck I used it to upload an entire modded folder that I had prepped on a desktop to the game folder on the deck and viola, it just works. The alternative for me would be to do all of this stuff with the controller mainly and ain't nobody got time for that shit

Can someone give some advice on the skill tree?
The trees all feel...sorta bad? I don't know how to describe it it just feels too loose and some of the talents in the upper tier seem sorta bad and not just flat out increases to your overall strength as a character
I just really am having a hard time deciding what to really focus on becasue its starting to feel like i'm sorta not as strong as someone my level should be becasue im not specialized in 3 trees.
My 3 main weapons are a Shotgun/Assault Rifle and a Handcanon if I could find one, but I really am just having a hard time finding the trees that make those good
But also, I really like hacking in this game, the quickhacks are actually the most fun im having in the game just because I can fuck with people.

Your weapon choices don't make it easy, since they are spread out over the attributes, so that's why you might feel weak if you are spreading yourself out too much. It works just fine at high enough lvl but at this lvl you're better off picking one main weapon (or hacking) and dropping perks/attributes into the related tree. Go up to 9 at least before you work up another attrib. As you level up, you start pumping perks into your other weapons. If you find hacking fun, dump enough points into it until you can unlock overclock.

You don't have to accelerate off the line from a dead stop, instead you pass the starting point close to the Apollo's max speed. You also carry more velocity when jumping off the cliff.

Well I chose the Star ending and it felt like a really great conclusion to V's story. She started as a corpo, fell from grace and became a badass merc, became an FIA agent, fucked with the Blackwall, lived in luxury apartments, fucked Joody, stormed Arasaka HQ with her nomad friends, then finally left it all behind to live the rest of her life on the road with her newfound family and Joody. This all felt both epic and conclusive, especially because I've been playing this game on and off since PL released, so I've been on this journey with V for over a year.

Display>Change Resolution>Customize>Create Custom Resolution>Refresh rate (Hz): 120
once its tested and confirmed, select that resolution from the list, under custom. And set that limit in game too.

I just chose to go with Panam because attacking Arasaka with a whole squad of Avocadoes made the most sense. I'm assuming you get the corpo ending by making a deal with Hanako, but I couldn't trust her. Both V and Johnny are firmly written to be against overwriting someone's consciousness from a moral stand point, there will always be a dissonance between gameplay and even story to some degree to the main questline. V is who the writers need them to be at the time, this is most evident during PL when the twins die and V freaks out about it despite doing equally crazy shit.
Even if Johnny managed to procure an ethical braindead body Alt probably wouldn't help because if V goes with her they become inseparable.

Yeah, but as far as I could understand, is that rogue AI's are stored on the same servers that ALSO serve the current net and are autonomous much like Delamain and its shop. So I'd imagine it'd be a fortress and they're just sealed off on the software level, but they're not separated on the hardware level.

If you were to go through everything, shut off the hardware for the rogue AI's you'd then have to rebuild the infrastructure for the "normal" net.

Manual installation is pretty easy. It helps to keep your own list of what you downloaded, like this https://pastebin.com/DZA1EAwW

And keeping the Zip and Rar files around, since you never know when modders will flip out and delete everything they worked on, and also makes it easier to remove the mod from the game when you know the name of its files.

Why? There's plenty of documentation around on it everywhere. I think there's a step by step video in the mod description page. You need to download it from the skyrim nexus. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194
It's one of those things that look a bit overwhelming at first but once you start installing your first mods it's a dream to work with. I love how you can set up different mod profiles per character or how you can dump 30 mods at once, launch the game and if there's something wrong it's just a matter of unchecking boxes of mods that might cause the problem. The difference with manual install is that you can be more careless, there's no need for installation lists or whatever and it's literally impossible to break your game with MO2. Makes it easy to check for updates too. Support a lot of games too. It's well worth figuring out.

Get behind the wheel, activate PM, choose for drone view and also disable something something camera. Don't have the game launched but it's 2 steps above "camera lock" if I remember right. It's the toggle that allows you to clip through objects with the camera, after that you can just fly in the car.
I'm assuming drone car camera is vanilla behaviour but might be a PM mod.

I did this when the river quest wouldn't work right. I think it's something with one of the mods, but I'm not sure which one.
And besides this problem happened on my nomad, too. I don't know how I fixed it but it just kinda.. stopped happening. It was around the same point in the game too.

It's been a while since I've done it, but IIRC the single most powerful hack setup is using a Rippler, popping OC, and queuing Cyberware Malfunction > Short Circuit > Cyberware Malfunction > Synapse Burnout

The first Malf increases SC's damage, Rippler makes the SC followed by a queued Malf fo 40% more damage, which will disable most enemies outright, the Synapse Burnout will either finish the job or get refunded by Data Recycler, and Blood Daemon and Speculation will refund the rest, and give you an extra 25 HP. Burnout happens to kill the enemy, your OC gets extended by 2 seconds.

I'm 100% certain tjat they get affected by cursor bloom like direct-fire weapons do, even though the game doesn't explicitly show or say so. The most notable performance boost I get with smart guns is just firing slower: short bursts or single shot. Treat them just like a power weapon.

I think one of the lines from V's apartment near it at least. I ended up taking it to Jackie's funeral, but I went in the wrong direction at first so I was riding it for about ten minutes and then walked the rest of the way. To be safe, I suggest sticking to Panam’s questline and do them the very instant you get a new one. As a general rule, if you get any quest that says “X has been kidnapped!”, you should not put it off at all. Same goes for River, when you get to him.

My Sandy gunslinger build is much more fun than my le stealth netrunner build, likely because my gunslinger can freely switch to tech deadeye weapons, or drop them for a revolver + pistol + katana, or just do stealth anyway without being such a methodical slow-ass.

He gets filtered by cameras, tho.

I like it a lot with the right mods. It's a lot of fun poking defenses, setting up killboxes, climbing around and tracking down backdoors/rooftop access doors. You can do things stupidly fast and without resistance if you git gud at it. You really got a spec into it though, you really need sprint crouch and silenced/throwing weapons to keep the pace going. And it leaves me very weak in the forced encounters where I can't hide.
But I enjoy the smooth in-and-out playstyle in gigs a lot.
