Fact of the matter is when supports and offlaners realize they can sit in the lane and simply spam spells at the carry who has no way of doing anything else then these people will do exactly that. You aren't, carrytrannies must always have the best and only uncounterable item in the game at their disposal. Aeon disk gets dispelled by nullifier too so at best you buy half a second assuming they don't precast it so the constant dipel instantly removes your invulnerability

Why did they change Nullifier and Doom to stop muting items, that was the really neat shit about those abilities

Really I wish they'd give supports something to fight back against Nullifier, really having something like Flicker again would be great.
Would let us disjoint the Nullifier projectile, or give us a few steps of space away from the core.

I just miss neutrals giving us supports a form of dispel like the mini-euls, minotaur horn or flicker. Tying our only dispel to Euls or a really expensive Lotus Orb/Greaves really ties us down

it's appropriate but if you're a carry ideally you don't just fucking die to score 20% more damage on one guy (which means it's basically shit without aghs anyway) and if you're a support yeah you're gonna die but that 20% damage means jack shit because you're a support and you're probably going to die again before it means anything
wouldn't be suprised if valve takes the same path they did with a lot of innates when they were first added and just make vengeance aura her innate and then give her something else for her e

They should change the roles' names to safe support and off support, pos 4 and 5 is interchangeable and depend more on the outcome of the lanes than any predetermined roles

The point of universal heroes is that their item builds are very flexible. Orchid into bloodthorn and manta are probably core but otherwise you just buy shit, preferably with a bunch of stats, that are good for the game.

You can test it out in custom games. The stats won't count at the end but they should be going up while in-game.

She's a glass cannon hard carry. Meaning she needs a shitload of farm so she can do some damage and still get blown up instantly by the enemy team. So she's not the best pick as carry every game, more like a last pick if no counters sort of deal.

No, Rubick mid does not perform well in lategame.
There is a difference.

When you are a pos4/pos5 Rubick in lategame, you're able to perform better than most supports because the tools you have combined with the spells you can steal make you a very serious threat for the enemy team. Your utility and versatility as a support is unmatched.

But Rubick Mid is not as strong as an Invoker or Storm Spirit lategame. Invoker and Storm can pick-off heroes, push lanes, rat and all other sorts. But Rubick can't do these things alone, he doesn't have Cold Snap + Meteor or Ball Lightning. Rubick Mid is as strong as Rubick Support is lategame.

With Rubick Mid, when you're in the lategame, your team may as well have 3 support heroes, except one of them has Dagon 5. You absolutely want a different mid hero on your team if you are going into the lategame.

What does a 50 minute Rubick do compared to Invoker, Zeus, Sniper, Storm, SF, OD, Tinker, Puck, QoP-

Rubick doesn't have right click damage or strong teamfight out of 1 or 2 good stolen spells. He can drop a stolen dreamcoil or Ravage but he can't manfight anyone or even 1v1 the enemy mid. If you're mid Rubick, you put an insane amount of pressure on your Pos1 to perform well and deal most of the damage in fights.

Also they upgraded a set to near Arcana quality for people that couldn't get it anyway, it's not quite as good as, but it's got custom effects out the ass like most Arcanas.

Instead of doing that, they upgraded a Shaker set.
It's a similar thing to Io's Aztec skin, that is feature complete with sounds and particle effects and icons, it's near Arcana quality just without having voicelines.

It's basically a crit that does extra magic damage instead of physical damage. So the tryhards are all "omg it's so gooooood lategame against high armour" but then never ever use it outside of fights where everybody pops BKB. It's dumb mainly because you'll probably get more effective DPS out of just right-clicking with a Daedalus since marginal gains of EHP from fucktons of armour is going down though there was at least one major armour rework so I could be wrong. But I doubt that it makes Revenant's Brooch worth it even if you're facing something like DK, especially in a game where we have shit like Glimmer on supports and cores.

LoL doesn't even have 1/4 of Dota's strategic flexibility. It can be accurately described as a top down 5vs5 fighting game (spamming moves and reaction dodging being the core of gameplay, just like in fighting games), yet it markets itself as "strategic".

Zhonya's hourglass (literally eul's) is one of the most popular items in the game and there are cases where the active is so situationally powerful, characters who can't even utilize half the stats would build it
The stopwatch component (A one time only use of the full item's active with no other stats) (Now removed and replaced with a component almost twice the price) was so good pretty much anyone would build it if they wanted to protect their gold bounty and bait enemies into overcommitting
I think it really comes down to active items not being impactful enough or having a clear of an impact as 2.5 second stasis

Riot has a fundamental design problem with heroes. They have a lot of heroes that are identical to each other with different stats. Imagine there are 10 different juggernauts. One starts with 30 base damage and a 190 damage spin, and goes all the way to the best one that starts with 65 base damage and a 250 damage spin. You'd never pick the shittier ones because they're objectively inferior. That's the problem LoL has with hero balance and why Riot is desperately pulling this shit.

Dota heroes are flexible archetypes which make the drafting phase have much more depth that the LoL one. A first pick Tiny, Nature's Prophet or Alchemist can end up being played in like 4 different positions.

Having heroes be guaranteed unavailable on the following map would severely impact the pool of strategies avaliable to the team. Imagine not being able to pick a Shadow Demon save since you already used it in the previous match or be unable to pick Underlord to beef up your squishy team - an entire array of strategies becomes simply off limits to you. This artifical pick diversity looks limiting in LoL, since they have a far lower role flexing.
