Not to do some Jabba the Byf faggotry of "i called this the entire time, why is nobody talking about this not unheard of thing I'm laying claim on", but Invitation to the Nine week 5? the one with the "4th wall break" I was always under the impression that it was never about that break and the game they're referring to is the Gardener v Winnower shit and how us as Space Jesus Guardian are not bound to it and above it, chosen one generic trope. Unveiling came after Season of Drifter yes but I think Bungie had this planned that the Nine weren't as unfamiliar as they were framed. Also Cocytus Space Station is a locale we are in desperate need to visit, read about it if you can

The Destiny franchise objectively died with BL and the proceeding seasonal garbage. Bungie made a bad habit out of sunsetting. With no real foundation to work off of the player base was doomed to never grow. Ideally they would have wrapped D2 in a box and BL would be the start of D3 even if it was lacking in content it was still enough to title a new game.

As much as season of the gay turned people away people in general were tired of the seasonal slop wheel. Just as the mcu should’ve never delved into shows Destiny should’ve stuck purely with its annual dlcs, they still could’ve done battle passes.

Poetically ironic that D1Y1 was the best era. Gameplay wise you can point to different areas of D2 depending on your class but as a looter shooter and then wholly concept of rarity and value Y1 takes the cake.

It’s not suspicious ,Shadowkeep had no reason to exist/ it’s half of an idea from what was supposed to happen on Europa/Enceladus given the concept art of the Hive spires and Scarlet Keep on a ice moon. One of the old concepts of the broken crust was used for Shadowkeep’s “box art”. Also to make it more simple, the plot of Shadowkeep(bar the added Eris fire team stuff) wasn’t really contingent on the locale being the Moon and could’ve been happening anywhere else. It’s no mistake why it was years after the fact Bungie gave context to the Lunar Pyramid and tie into Nez because it wasn’t supposed to be the Moon and the concept of pyramids holding Disciples wasn’t a thing yet. Basically the moment Bungie wasn’t with Activision and knew they’d had to tweak shit as is,was what green lit them going into padding stretch mode. Moon was a test to reuse old assets and see if they could push their luck.

When Destiny 2 was releasing I was happy to see them giving another go at the 2 smaller dlc formula. Obviously it was too much for them to handle but I would still take 1 full fledged forsaken style dlc every year that that horrendous slop we got the past 4 years. And of course would still take CoO and Warmind style dlcs over 4 seasons. The seasonal stuff was just location reuse and audio logs, far from organic content.

Apollo will either have us restabilising contact with a colony near Neptune or some kind of Distributary exploration.
Knowing how they like to build things up I feel like they will save going outside our system for the final expansion just teasing at it till then.

It is confirmed through several sources that the next raid will be vex related so I think it would follow similar patterns to D1 Venus bringing us back in a full loop.

Best case scenario we explore all the locations only talked about in lore tabs but I doubt Bungie has the ability or resources to pull that off.

Now that you mention it it is sort of weird that shadowkeep and beyond light both act as introductions to the pyramid ship. I guess shadowkeep not existing wouldn’t change anything about Mithrax backstory either. The only difference being the pyramid of interest and storing Nez would be on Europa instead of the moon.

Yeah Mithrax was already implied friendly by Zero Hour in Season of Drifter. It really was just a matter of when Bungie wanted to pepper in the Fallen drama. Nez stuff is fairly newer development/they railroaded that shit from witch queen and just forced it, tying him to collapse I feel is a bit whatever as well

They all were. 1 was a minor amount of focus on Nessus, the vex, and Failsafe, but most of it was Saint and Osiris. 2 was almost exclusively about Saint and Osiris. 3. was about how what's-her-face and Maya paralleled Saint and Osiris.

On one hand benefit of doubt a slate with potential less physical variables than Destiny maybe could be a little easier to work on, but yeah I don't really see much promise from Marathon when I don't think it's going to have much of an allure for a modern gaming audience. Destiny pretty much became something people tolerated and accepted a lot of crap factors, that's something not easy to accept for everyone especially when you have a new product. Also p2p fuckery still very likely and janky ass framework of old engine again is something most don't want to bother checking out. I do think Bungie's fucked a little. I'm not so much of a hater to say that "Bungie hasn't done anything or never tried", but there's always been the rigidity of limitations with what they could physically do with Destiny and I just don't see that same old really being that appealing to play with in a new game. On top of it Bungie's limp dick "inspire friendship" mantra, I like Destiny but extraction anything is not going to fly for the carebear retards. A game type where part of the game is ruining somebody else's run and being a little mean spirited is going to drive all the "muh disrespect of time" types up a wall. Can't wait to get a soft ban because I stalked shitnaderjake on an extract point in a no gear run to yank all his shit and he claims I cheated.

Of that group, hrmmm probably Multimach, it's gonna sound retarded but it's tough to beat just playing the game building super off something like a 900 smg when you have the right content for it. Midnight Coup I'd say would have more value if you had Explosive Payload on it, Pulses that aren't Outbreak are very whatever in PVE and Firefly I just don't think is anything special.

Getting medals is a PIA. Too much flying to pick up one PVE bounty at a time from the tower. The bounties progress too slowly when you do get them. The rewards are anemic when you win. I just get better rewards from doing The Nether or obsessively stacking tonics and tome shit so that I can maximize my rain of useless glim-fodder then do whatever I want without having to check in with grandma every 20 minutes.

Is this the story mode version or the GM version? During the middle of Revenant I did the GM version to get the Ergo Sum catalyst using LFG on a weekend, took a bit to load into it and certain people dropped off during the course of the mission, but got it done. Can you LFG the base version too? Maybe you can load in with just 5-6 people.

in gacha you have a base character.
to fully upgrade them to their max potential, you need 4-6 copies of the same character that you “infuse” into the base character.
once you fully unlock each power node, they become “masterworked/enhanced” so to speak.
i just thought it was similar because in Destiny we have to grind for red borders until we get 5 of one gun, and in gacha you have to roll/gamble to get a chance for a copy of a character to drop.

you either save up all your roll tokens, which would require a couple weeks/months of grinding then spending them all in one go and you’d be *somewhat* lucky if you got almost all of the copies you need, or you spend a few hundred to potentially a thousand immediately and possibly get all you need.
but there’s a lot of luck involved.
for the purple characters you can finish all their upgrades rather quickly, but for the exotic characters it takes some time.

purple characters would more closely fit with normal legendary red borders, and the exotic/gold/yellow characters would be if Bungie allowed us to craft adept Hersey weapons and required 5 copies of that adept gun, with their current drop rate or lower

My PC is worse than yours and I get about 45 FPS on 2 Gigs after you fiddle with the settings some. Whoever ported this shit was a wizard I tell you. I only ever got slowdown in one strike: Birthplace of the Vile. That bridge section must be rendering the whole fucking raid or something. Literally the only problem I've had since I moved to an SSD. Funny thing is I recently did some more fiddling and even that runs better now so its a me thing most likely. My PC just keeps chugging along. AMD does with Nintendon't and all that shit. yea im seeing a lot of different weapons being used instead of a common one. I've also noticed a lot less team shotting, death balls, and more 1v1s granted that last part is probably because I get 5v5 lobbies maximum usually.

Managed to craft my Wastelander M5 I wanted to much today. Also getting kinda bored of running Expert Nethers since Adept gun RNG fucking sucks.

It also feels weird putting a lot of effort into getting guns when we don't exactly how all of the stuff we have in our vaults will interact with their new Tier system.

Next week Psycho Patrol R releases and also GGG is gonna show us their new content update for Path of Exile 2, so I need to look into mostly how to grind the xp out of this season pass.

I've had that happen in rush down multiple times. Seems like if you join in mid run your just kinda fucked sometimes. You can hear the shooting and other players move open inventory but the screen stays black. Then you either quit or wait it out and hope your teammates carry you. If the wind the black screen ends and you can see.

Focus the 3 disable things
Champs boost your adept drop chance per area
Special Named enemies can drop extra adepts HVT or those ones you need to summon
Invis makes every plate cap a cakewalk
Bolt charge makes everything easy
Microcosm Melts all bosses

Same with Court of Blades Expert but in that I've found just spamming supers as quickly as possible the best strategy. You will have to wait till Champions spawn or loot will be shit.

The Earth and our system has fallen we are contacted by the deep space station created to house Rasputin as a last ditch measure which was picked up as debris by the now idle leviathan.

We must fight through the darkness to retake what was once ours. The Witness wasn't real but the Disciples were. Calus successfully neutralised us sacrificing his ship to send us on a death course into a black hole. His Jovialness a ruse all along.

The damage from the trip woke up the last remaining instance of Rasputin which tells us we need to establish contact with a colony ship sent through the black hole during the golden age. We fight our way through the Leviathan using old remnants of weapons and new technology Ikelos perfected weapons created by Rasputin in the thousands of years kept here.

Rasputin has taken over the Leviathan ship forges which allowed Calus to create automatons remaking exo versions of himself and recreated backed up copies of Iron Lords and famous Guardians into almost human synthetic bodies. The true next evolution of mankind left to rot on an unknown world and an unknown space.

The journey through the blackhole has shifted time leading us to meet proto-awoken society the distress signal sent through was actually real but from a different time.

We now must use everything in our disposal old and new to recreate humanity on a frontier untouched by the darkness in hopes of retaking what was once ours our Destiny Three.

What the fuck were they thinking with Redrix? I assume they won’t truly nerf it until it’s no longer a comp reward or comp numbers will plummet even further. The Bygones nerf last season was mainly just a high ground nerf, gun was still solid overall. Redrix has 0 downsides in PvP and its perk pool is loaded.

Yeah for sure. It's a great legendary campaign. The strikes are great from it. Great dungeons though I guess you have to get the keys for those. The glaive you get from it is great because the origin trait makes it so everything you smack does less damage to you, as is the exotic SMG which was recently buffed to work with Peacekeepers on Titan (which now give you up to 100% extra damage just by shooting), you also get some decent crafted guns like the Ammit and Taipan which are still solid even now.

It was a season that had some of the worst player numbers since Year 1 disaster. Tonic system was ok, cool getting seasonal shit from anything so long as it's popped, the bad was tonics didn't need to be 3 different versions of roughly the same idea when the best version is just much better. Also Bungie had their bullshit called because the original focusing drop rate of tonics was abysmal to the point that you had people doing full breakdowns how everyone was getting fucked. Naturally Bungie did the passive aggressive excuses "uh yeah we uh "messed up" the rates, they should be good now, please pre order Marathon" and tonic drops weren't as bad. The other problem though was Bungie assumed people would live in Onslaught for the season and I think everyone was burnt out and not impressed by the loot especially for how hard it dropped off once Artifact was gone. Vesper was a mixed bag dungeon, and then Weightgate was in plain sight and people were just bouncing.

I just tested it. Spirit of Synthoceps does work with glaive melee damage. It went from 20,000 on first hit to 40,000 when the perk was activated. Necrotic Grips/Synthos Slopism makes this build absolutely perfect. It's all my favorite stuff at once.

Pinpoint slug and precision are the best 2 archetypes for PvP. Any shotgun that rolls Lone Wolf + Closing Time is best right now, but Closing Time will be getting changed on special ammo weapons soon. Someday is still great, but other shotguns like Deadlock have the aforementioned perk combination that makes them stronger.

That anon isn't quite right. You DO have to do Alone in the dark 12 times to unlock everything, but once it's unlocked, you can run those cysts like lost sectors. You activate and swap them from the birb of light at certain places.

I was thinking that too, like a lore reason to get rid of gambit. I'm so happy they showed them as a couple and spent time building up to it. I loved Drifter's performance when he thought he lost her, it made me cry a lil. The quick reveal that she's alive on her throne world made me think that oh yeah it's time for Drifter to die instead. They finally gave us what we wanted, so it's a good opportunity to pull on the heartstrings again while keeping best girl Eris alive to do hive goddess things.
