I get that itll be solved in the last patch.

Probably what happens is the Darkheart causes us (azeroth) to lose to whatever she summons with the Darkheart.

I imagine that in this world revamp theyre doing, they could potentially do a map wide forced void darkness that could last most of midnight (skybox) no noticeable time of day. (TLDR, they wont do this)

I believe this first expansion serves as an opener to the greater world (Arathi, Void, Ethereals), sets up an explanation for the sword, and serves as what there is to lose in the 2nd act.

I think maybe whats being done poorly, is there has been no Eastern Kingdoms content so far and Midnight is supposedly where we lose.

If they were good at storytelling, youd figure they would have us visit areas in Eastern Kingdom around the Bloodelves... if thats where we'll be.

They cant communicste this to their dev team so what itll (the trilogy) feel like is doing broken Isles to Cata to another Broken Isles probably.

They're realllllllly bad at integrating old content into current storytelling and was only reslly successful in Legion (artifact weapons stories)

I rlly feel like batman now...too bad modern wow pvp sux balls. All the geared raiding troons have an advantage over me, blizz me-proofed my own rape victims. Wish it was still like in wotlk u do some bgs get some gear. I have leveled through all 3 zones of WW without a single alliance player to kill also. On shadowlands launch i spent whole day killing people it was fun. But i didnt play shadowlands for more than a week.

Only the top 1% and highest ranked players play this game anymore.
There is no chance that you will find a "normal" player in this game with a shitty green gear that you can just kill unless you have a game breaking glitches or exploits like Rextroy.

Every player you meet is either an elite pvper, a high IO m+ grinder or a mythic raider.

It makes the entire spec revolve around that one single cooldown, getting maximum usage out of it relies on how big your group can pull etc.
You're not playing a spec, you're playing one single ability, and it's often way better than non-Breath frost dk builds

And because getting good usage out of it heavily relies on your group, it's not easy to utilize without a premade or in high keys
So in most cases, playing a frost dk means playing Breath or not playing frost dk at all, it's holding the entire spec hostage

A few weeks ago I wanted to see what raiding popularity was like across all versions of the game. This was at the backend of Nerub'ar. Looking at the last 2 weeks of first boss parses and adding them all up, the raiding scene looked something like 48% Retail, 22% Cata, 20% Fresh, 6% SoD and 3% Era
Well I've done it again, looking at first boss kills
For Undermine, that's Vexie, except on LFR where the first boss of the first wing is Cauldron of Carnage
For Cata, it's Morchok, Fresh is Lucifron, Naxx on Era and SoD is Anub'rekhan
As you can see, Retail is 73.7% of the raiding playerbase at the moment, including LFR. Excluding, it is 60%.

The actual difficulty breakdown is interesting
Normal is currently the most popular difficulty, with 913k first boss parses. Then Heroic, then LFR, then Mythic. By late season, with only the diehards remaining, it's Heroic slightly edging Mythic which dwarfs Normal and LFR. I anticipate LFR is consistently fairly popular it's just the people who log and then upload their logs to warcraftlogs are the more hardcore people who are doing LFR more early in the patch to try and get tier items.
SoD is intriguing too, basically nobody is doing the easy difficulties of Naxxramas. Only 542 parses are recorded for 'Normal 20' Naxx. Compared to 72.5k for 'Mythic 40' naxx.
Also see attached for the collection I did at the end of last patch.

The dungeons and bosses were all unironically and unequivocally ass-cancer. Ara Karas final boss especially was especially horrible because you could so easily get griefed. S2 bosses are far more fair, with only Priory being tough and could use a few extra minutes.

Because just like DF, the mobs cast spells 24/7 and you need 50 kicks for a pack. DHs are tanky, deal a shitload of dmg and have quite literally endless CC. Basically, they almost remove the requirement to kick from a dungeon.

A problem with /wowg/ guilds is that they are often populated by complete shitters that expect boosts and think it's acceptable to put in effort that's far below the minimum requirement because they think the only threshold to raid is to join the guild.
People also don't respect other people's time by doing so, many would get kicked from the raid if they were in a pug group for repeated fuckups or shit performance.

Nerub had to gather some of its best members to kill Queen Ansurek in a closed group who then helped the rest of the guild kill her the week after.
The guild is fun but raiding with them can be an absolute fucking headache because a lot of the raiders that show up are honestly super carried.

Best aesthetic in the game.

Cooldowns all feel like a cooldown should.
Defensives that let you man mode lots of things instead of piddly %20 D/R cuckery.
Always middle of the pack DPS at worst.

It's a fast, mashy, engaging spec that doesn't obliterate your DPS for an entire fight for one mess up. Every ability makes sense and a rotation is clear.

It's exactly how a class/spec SHOULD feel in this game without the bloat and convoluted nonsense.

Ever since taking the Ret pill and seeing how people people behave and the "fun" they're supposedly having on tryhard classes I only wish I did it sooner. I'll never touch a cuck class ever again. Just chad mashing classes for me (Oblit Frost, BM, Ret, Dev, Frost Mage).

Why would I ever want to go back to maximum effort for less fun and, usually, less output.

warrior is decent but not really in demand so you'll play queue simulator once you get to endgame pve
paladin is strong, simple and generally fairly fun to play but it's twice as popular as the second most popular spec in the game - tons of competition.
havoc is definitely the most effort / skill required of the three (as in it's easy to kill yourself) but it's kind of fun if you like zoomzoom shit, and your tank spec is both strong and reasonably simple
=> I'd definitely avoid warrior. difficult to say whether you'd have more fun on paladin or DH - ret has better tools imo and generally plays smoother, but there's just *so many* of them that it's difficult to find groups for content. havoc is more tryhard but it feels pretty fluid and things like double jump and dash are pretty fun mobility wise
tldr throw a coin to pick between paladin and dh

This was my Vault with the paladin alt, I forgot to swapp loot from RET to PROT and got a 2hand weapon.
Its kinda okay bc I wasnt reallly enjoying prot pala after experiencing DH Tank and seeing how squish Prot Pala is compared to DH, but I crafted 1 shield 675 so thats kinda wasted if I go full DPS, but im happy. Prob gonna keep playing both Tank and DPS at the same time.
