I am genuinely surprised about Atlus NOT having the autism to milk P3MC at all after his death. I was for sure thinking Metaphor was definitely going to be related to P3. Like damn it doesn't have to be something big, but I was really thinking like P3MC soul comes to help whatever persona hero needs it at the moment and grants him messiah or something, but they're actually not fucking with the lore and just keeping him dead.

I mean with the timing of P3R and Metaphor MC doing the 'seal pose' along with the YOU DAMN MANIACS YOU BLEW IT UP twist. I was awaiting some sort of Persona lore autism twist but it never happened. Metaphor felt pretty mid though, not a bad game but just felt insanely safe for something being developed for a long ass while.

I hope the next atlus game looks pretty, Metaphor, besides the menu ui, was a very ugly looking game. SMT VV, despite being a very empty open world game looks miles better than MRF. The character models, overall texture quality, etc, all better than MRF

I guess not all of them will be so easy. I actually did the technique Atlus originally used for Hua Po and started with Pixie and added modifiers from there (which is why a random Pixie is still in the image). Hair and eyes are still kinda off, though.

When I first played P5, I played the Japanese version despite knowing no Japanese. I had no idea what was happening for the most part. When I got to the part in the museum where you have to leave for the day, I didn't know that and passed along every edge pressing buttons on the controller to see if I missed something. The ruse cruise was extremely confusing but I somehow got through the dialogue on first try. In the cruise ship, I again got stuck, this time finding the path to the IT guy. You have to backtrace for it. I instead left the ship and assumed it was like the museum: waiting for a scripted event. I suspected this wasn't the case due to all the urgent-seeming phone call but wound up waiting until Goro busted into the attic with a bunch of cops.

Yes. The tutorials are unskippable too. The tutorials after the first area are much more forgiving compared to almost every stage having one in the first kingdom. If you can make it past the first kingdom, then the game becomes kino.

They do that before showing the tutorial prompt off. The first kingdom is the longest and they do it a lot. The second kingdom has multiple new mechanics and they barely do it for some reason, which thank god. The quality increase right after the end of the first kingdom is so insane that if you make it that far, you have little reason to drop the game.

You can replay any stage you want, so if you want to replay the game, have a save before the second to last level. Since replaying the game on NG+ removes your ability to pick stages and you have to do the tutorials again. NG+ sucks ass unless you want to use the DLC characters in the main story.

I'm not sure what difficulty you are on, but normal and the other difficulties have different balancing due to friendly fire being enabled. For example Morgana's voltage attack is very strong on normal, and it's his main benefit due to how garu skills work. But on hard and above, he becomes one of the worst characters in the game due to how much he fucks everybody else over. Haru is always one of the best once in the late game, and due to this persona template. The difficulty difference is a big deal.

Nobody will blame you if you skip cutscenes in the first kingdom to get past the tutorials more quickly. Most of the gameplay you don't need as much handholding with, and characters like Toshiro improve immensely once in the second kingdom.

DLC sucks outside rat grills, only get it if you like Goro and Sumire.

I hope they make a tactica sequel, there is a lot they could expand upon, but I know the game isn't popular in any means. I feel like the DLC was sequel bait to try out something new for a sequel. But realizing I paid 80 dollars for a complete game, and the DLC, which was 20 by itself, only being 4 hours long with a "everybody forgets afterwards" story was pure ass. It makes sense why nobody else bought the DLC and watched it on youtube.

I'd prefer a totally different tactics game, frankly, Tactica has a lot of interesting ideas but it's stuck with some of the most absolute brain dead "tactical" gameplay I've ever played
Strikers, at least to me, has a similar issue of not being fully committed to being a musou game, but it does have enough going on that it works fine as is, and even has some ideas that I'd like to see in musou games going forward
If Tactica was a proper tactical RPG on the level of something like Fire Emblem (as a bare minimum, anyway) not only would I appreciate it more I think other people would too

I can agree to a point. But I do like some of the things tactica introduced. But I wish there was more. I'm not sure how the different element's effects would work with something more traditional. The game should have more ways to beat maps outside making triangle, which is the main gameplay flaw due to how quickly it can be done on some maps. Actively not making triangle improves the maps and makes them slower in some cases cases. Since the enemy AI is extremely good. Hopefully they do something with it in the future, even if it has the triangle or not.I do think "make triangle" harmed it's identity for people, as it turns the game into a puzzle game instead of a tactics game. Strikers needs less MP use, with better ways to restore it.

I personally don't know how to feel about it myself. Sometimes making triangle is satisfying and making sure I won't get flanked afterwards. Other times it feels like a cheap way to nuke half the map without a care. The game gives support for SP healing very early on, which makes you think the maps would have been longer if they thought they needed to have it offered as soon as possible.

The triangle is a big problem but for me it's another part of the issue that there's just not enough variety of enemies or outcomes in general for everything that isn't triangle to really matter
Maybe it would've just been too Devil Survivor but Tactica really would've benefited from demon variety and enemies making use of an equal skill set to yours over the generic shadows we got that manage to be the most generic they've ever been (not that Strikers is much better but Strikers has demons in it on top of shadow mobs)
I also think having any degree of RNG would help things so that you'd have to adapt to situations but instead you get one optimal strategy per map and everything else is just wasting time

P5X has events with the p5 characters basically all the time. Reload's problem is it tries to be an MMO for drop rates where everything has to be randomized without guaranteed chances of getting what you want. MMO raids are good since items have real world value, raids take hours, and you get to put your dick in other's faces when you claim the shield as a hunter. P3P and P5 had the perfect solutions. Cards and weapons were tied to specific personas so you know exactly hat you are getting and what to strive for. It's perfect for challenge runs as the bullshit is removed. Making everything randomized for the grind with low drop rates is retarded.

I'm saying this as someone who grinded for 10+ hours for a single concentrate's skill card in reload and never fucking got it after getting 50 charge skill cards.

I regret playing DMC5 on normal difficulty. Harder difficulties as my first experience would've brought it up to DMC3 levels in my eyes. I got an objectively worse experience for not knowing this and there are too many games I have played to replay some of them.
