There is nothing that makes HEs more likely than DEs and DEs actually are in more need of a rework.

I don't mind most of them, but I should also add I'm a compulsive reader of pretty much anything that isn't romance literature. Like all BL stuff they're done on contract and not somebody writing their own lore from scratch so you don't get loredumps like most fantasy literature, but the writers aren't contractually obligated to be into whatever it is they're writing, so you do get a lot of "has to be in there". For instance the ET novel about Archaon has a chapter that is literally just Josh Reynolds killing off Champions of Chaos 1 by 1 to Valten because he was presumably given a list of characters to kill off. They're not high literature obviously, but they're fun adventure novels at their best. Not every book you read has to be one of the all-time great masterpieces of literature

CA's priority seems to be adding Dogs of War units. It is why Greenskins and Ogres were in the last dlc and Empire and Dwarves in the dlc before that and kislev was in the dlc before that. The only race units left missing are Norsca. Specifically bearmen and fenbeast. Therefore Norsca is going to be in it. Which and Vampire Counts make zero sense be paired with it because they are getting Red Duke FLC.

Luckily there is at least one more Empire dlc coming which is what they said during the release Q&A for Thrones of Decay when they explained why Wizard Lords weren't in that DLC. So Todbringer would likely be the FLC for that.

The Empire has way too much missing content to not do a CoC style DLC for them.

All this needs to be added or the Empire will never feel complete. Do 4 paid LLs. Marius. Kurt, Valten, and Lumpin. Then add in Boris as FLC and the Empire is done.

They have to add faction mechanics, voice acting, and some units for him to buff. Making him an update would be a very expensive "update". The only thing they have done for him is his model.

Ok so, let’s go by the old description of the Chaos Dwarfs, with minor modifications.
Their called Dawi Zharr (Fire Dwarfs), they don’t worship Chaos but a strange being that is located outside of the Chaos Realms, that is very Dwarven, and as we are going of early Chorfs, they thought themselves normal enough to have made friendly contact with their Western kin, whom they thought killed off (just as the Western Dawi thought the Eastern Dawi were killed off), and we shall be removing all the Stars of Chaos from their symbolism.

Now are the Dawi Zharr by your very definition, not viewed in the same light as you are viewing the “Chaos Elves”? My Elven lore is a bit rusty, but if I am correct, when the change came to remove all Chaotic themes from the Dark Elves, they just created for them a new god of evil and debauchery, which is just Slannesh but lite (it’s a combination of a few such as Ereth Khial and Atharti, which only happened thanks to 6th edition as before that they just flat out worshipped Slannesh). So prior to 6th edition, yes some Dark Elves were indeed Chaos Elves.

Problem with dark elves is that GW took a long time in fleshing out the world. And in early editions(3rd one for example) elven runes sometimes became chaos runes and the other way around. They took such a long time deciding if Khaine is Khorne or not that there are people to this day saying Khaine is a chaos god despite his symbols being clearly show as having a strong anti-chaos influence even early on. That's why there is no point in referencing anything than 8th edition.

If elves get more dlc why would they just do dark elves vs high elves? That would be stupid as fuck in a 3-way format. Why would the elf dlc not dark elves vs high elves vs wood elves? Why are Wood Elves never included? They only have one paid DLC.

That being said I don't see anymore elf dlc having at all unless the rumors of an end times dlc are real then give dark elves dozens of units and high elves caradryan.

1. Wood Elves aren't enemies of Dark or High elves
2. Wood Elves don't have anything left and their last DLC was fanfiction tier.
3. Slaanesh is closely tied to the destinies of High and Dark elves on top of the Phenix King deal that Malekith has. While the main enemy of Wood Elves for their entire existence were always Beastmen.

It would honestly be perfect for some races. Like Skaven just needs Thanquol and stormfiends unit. High elves just need skycutters and Caradryan. Throw in Valten for the empire and have the DLC revolve around his duel with Archaon. Since Caradryan would then be in the game we can do the incarnate avatar mechanic as well since all the incarnates would be playable. Dark Elves could get their dozen plus End Times units and a Phoenix King/Eternity King mechanic for Malekith where he units all 3 Elvish factions and can use all their units and legendary lords.

I don't know where there's particular lore about the longma beyond ingame descriptions, but the only sources I've found in the matter are Tarriff making videos on Zhao sneaking into the stables while high af on warpstone, and Cody Bonds saying in his Miao video that she doesn't actually have any offspring and is embarrassed that her siblings would fuck shit like horses. They're far from official sources, but they don't usually make up stuff, just exaggerate it.

Yes, back in Warhammer 1 they specifically outright said she would be the next DLC LL for Vampire Counts. There has been new Vampire Count content in 10 years though. Andy Hall also said she was suppose to be the final dlc for Warhammer 2 but got replaced at the very last second by Lizardmen so they could finish off Lizardmen before Warhammer 3. This is also why they expanded the map to include the area she rules.

There is also no one left for them to add to Vampire Counts in 8th edition she is the only one left where they will likely use her End Times model. They also just said in the Omens of Destruction video that Vampire Count dlc was coming.

Andy Hall brings it to Youtube interviews a lot and turns the pages to find lore he is looking for and reads directly out of it to answer Cathay questions. He also said they were given one for Kislev and "unannounced future race".(Most people think it was Chaos Dwarves but it could be Dogs of War.)

The lead writer says Cathay has 5 legendary lords according to their "internal 8th edition roster" that gamesworkshop made for Creative Assembly he said it is the 5 dragon siblings as legendary lords and 2 legendary heroes. This is why a lot of people think Monkey King is a legendary hero.

Not people's fault that CA fucked up so badly with that race just like they fucked up Vampire Counts so badly like Wood Elves. I agree with their 2 basegame choices of Kimmler and Mannfred. That was excellent choices to start with. They fucked up when they did Helman Ghorst dlc because everyone was expecting Vlad DLC with Isabella as a hero like Krell is for Kimmler. Then they would have had only 3 lords and there wouldn't have been an issue. Freeing them up for Neferata dlc in game 2 with Red Duke FLC for 5th lord and the race would been perfect.

Wood Elves should have been Araloth, Durthu, Naieth to start with. Then Drycha as FLC later. Then I would have done the sisters dlc later. Orion should have been added later as a hero. They really fucked up Wood Elves so bad they can't be fixed. How do you add Araloth now? He is the fucking ruler of Talsyn. He can't lead any other faction it doesn't work. It would be like adding Boris Todbringer and making him lead Averland.

The solution is to give Talsyn and the faction name to Araloth as well as the starting location. In lore Orion can literally be anywhere so he gets moved and gets a new faction name since he can't use Talysn name since that belongs to Araloth. I say throw him in The Wood Elf city in Cathay. Maybe give Orion a duel start so he can also hold King's Glade.

Honestly, it kinda reminds me of how GW showed this as a Rune that was only on Chaos Dwarfs, so fans proclaimed it to be the Rune of Hashut, and so GW just went with it, even though much much later down the line, in some interview, one of the creators of what we know of as the Chaos Dwarfs (4th Edition going forward), actually said it was never intended to be, they just thought Khorn’s turned sideways looked cool, and that GW believed the fan-cannon over real cannon. It’s like how Hashut actually has a holy number, it’s 12, but again it was fan made based on both Warhammer lore (Chaos gods numbers, with the Horned Rat being 13, and Hashut 12) as well as going on Ancient Babylonian Numeral System where 60 is the perfect number, so 4 Chaos gods plus Hashut= 5, and 5 x 12=60, thus Hashut’s Holy Number is 12. Yeah GW actually used it in some White Dwarf confirming it as official cannon, as far as a single issue of White Dwarf goes in terms of influencing the actual setting.

All in all, shits kinda funny. Fans do more work for Warhammer Fantasy and 40k than GW even does, and so they copy their homework and claim it as their own.

Slaanesh is just a rough matchup for Tzeentch because they'll be on your extremely fast and your demon units will all die super quick when that happens. The only big nerfs to Tzeentch I remember are minor nerfs to some horrors and bigger ones to the flamers

Space dwarfs hate the Imperium because the Imperials backstabbed them during a tyranid invasion, basically joining with the tyranids to blow holes in the Votann's defensive line and allowing the tyranids to breach deep into Votann territory, wiping out every one of their worlds outside of the core. That's why they sell railgun/ship tech to the Tau and other anti-Imperial xenos. Also, the Imperium classifies them as xenos instead of abhumans, and treats them as xenos (meaning they torture-murder them in purification camps and exterminatus their worlds). So lots of debts to pay.

Eldar hate humans because they wiped out something like 80% of Craftworlds/Exodites during the Great Crusade. Many of those Craftworlds were benign or even friendly to humanity. This left behind only the most distrustful, resentful, and anti-human elements.

Hrud don't like the Imperium because they destroyed their homeworld and keep looking for and killing them, even when all they want to do is hide out in undercities and keep to themselves. Funnily enough, the Imperium's propaganda image of the Hrud is basically the Skaven from fantasy, even though the Hrud are much nicer.

Slann are tripping out, so they don't really hate anyone. The most antagonistic relationship they have is with Eldar, because they keep raiding their temple-planets.

Dechala doesn't work. For one she isn't 8th edition tabletop. She did return to lore in 8th edition End Times lore without tabletop though as a GREATER DEMON and lore was changed to removed her from ever being a mortal. The official format for demon factions is Lesser Demon, Greater Demon, and Mortal. Slaanesh already has their Greater Demon which is N'Kari. Slaanesh has only one lesser demon in lore which is Masque of Slaanesh. Slaanesh has tons of mortals though and lots of greater demons like Azrael.

My favorite lorebit was when Nazdreg conquered an Imperial sector and enslaved the humans. The humans actually ended up living longer, happier lives as ork slaves and livestock than they did as Imperial serfs. Even the orks aren't crazy enough to work their slaves for 20-hour shifts with only 4 hours of offtime sandwiched in-between. That's how fucking terrible the Imperium is. The Gorkamorka humans were also happier living on an ork world than they were under Imperial authority.

Horned Rat is the god of ruin, and according to the most up to date lore the Emperor is actually transforming into the Dark King, although this was delayed by the Horus Heresy, who's also the god of ruin (in horus heresy rules his only known daemon has the "encroaching ruin domain") and wants to ruin the galaxy like the GHR wants to ruin the Warhammer World/AoS universe. These are the units I'd most like to see. Norsca already has great infantry but their horsefuckery tools are lacking when they have the perfect thematic opening for them. Also lets them drop the marauder horsemasters down to tier 2 where they should be in the norscan building chain. CIs are the last real MI they have significant relevance to and are still lacking, with some Zoat-level bound spells they would be very relevant to the LL I'd suggest and have a different niche than the other MI. CSGs would also be flavorfully relevant to Sayl, are cool, could also be used by the Chorfs/WoC, and would finally be a good excuse to drop the norscan giant down to t3 where it deserves to be placed. Give it a bonus vs large and it would be a beloved addition to any Norscan army. And of course Flayerkin are just cool, how useful they would be varies though and it would be very gay to see them climbing assladders instead of using their claws so they are a monkey's paw unit.

LL: Sayl the Faithless
GL: Kurgan Sorcerer-Chieftain (mounted on horse /w bow)
GH: Jarl (I could also see a Curs'd Ettin Hero of some kind but they already have 2 other MI heroes and 2 other caster heroes)
The only issue is I have no idea what to give them for a LH. Most options are dead or more relevant elsewhere.

just corner camp/checkerboard your rangers with the heroes and lord harassing and slowing down the enemy as they advance, it's literally the most efficient and effective way to play

Don't see the point in the Grudge throwers, the AI is just going to laser focus on it in field battles and probably force you to defend it with your rangers. If you want them for siege attacker just keep one of them and give it that snipe/stalk rune.

Also IG, AdMech and Sisters on the Imperium side, Orkz and Craftworlds on the xenos side, and Alpha Legion and Red Corsairs on the Chaos side.
But yeah mostly Tau.

One of the GREAT parts of these TW games is that I actually get to play more than one faction without having to spend like 100 bucks on getting a single small army each time.

Pretty much yeah, the only real differences is that in 40k their "Chaos Warriors" are corrupted Space Marines with guns and shit instead of tribesmen with dwarven armor, and that Slaanesh got created by the elves rather than just having a slight obsession with them.

40k armor works even against bullshit space lazer guns. So well in fact that the bullshit space lazer guns are considered some of the weakest in the setting, you need to upgrade to shit like melta guns or plasma guns to seriously threaten dudes (or dudettes) in power armor.

On the flip side, guardsmen and other troops on that level charge into battle in pajamas so the lasers are still a threat to them.

Lorewise in 40k most ranged weapons are pathetically weak and armour incredibly strong.
Basically metallurgy are all leftovers from a long-lost golden age and are technologically advanced and durable, while most weapons are necessarily post-collapse and much less technologically advanced. The disparity between firepower and protection leads to an emphasis on melee combat. Even ship to ship combat is largely fought out by boarding actions.

Of course, in practice tabletop is degenerate raged spam and melee is nearly worthless but there's always a bit of a gap between gameplay and lore.

Like, one of the funniest parts of the setting is how absurd numbers get whenever they get thrown around, always trying to impress, but then at other times the writers fall terribly short, like when they talk about Imperial Guard tanks as if you're supposed to be awed and impressed and then you find out irl we have much bigger ones.

Yes, there's a bug that's pretty inconsistent where it stops units from firing entirely. People testing it have concluded that the more units there are in battle, the higher the chances of it happening, something to do with the game not being able to keep up with how many orders are getting thrown around since the AI hogs them all by doing the equivalent of clicking a thousand times a second.

I've found this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3415667695 mod actually seems to prevent the bug for the most part.

Think of it like how after the fall of rome, Steel metallurgy devolved and for a hundred years or so old roman steel was more precious than gold since it could still be melted down and reforged into new tools and weapons, but new steel couldn't be made of the same quality. It took a while for successor kingdoms to rediscover and eventually surpass that level of metallurgy. Or how the loss of roman concrete meant those kingdoms couldn't build new aqueducts of the size or length as the roman ones, thus preserving old roman infrastructure became hugely important for settlements that relied on it

Basically the decline began as soon as the republic became an empire. Rome's social and political systems were so robust that they could coast leaderless for practically centuries on their own but they gradually decayed without any counterbalances to corruption, were actively undermined by bad policy from unqualified military dictators just seeking to plunder imperial coffers to fund their military powerbase and dozens upon dozens upon dozens of civil wars that gradually wiped out the empire's fighting aged male population, ruined its infrastructure and bankrupt its government at both the local and empire-wide level.

Myopic idiots look at a lot of little disasters near the end to claim each one was the fall but the reality is that rome crushed disasters an order of magnitude larger than hunnic or gothic invasions or plagues or civil wars all throughout its history. These things became disasters because rome was already collapsing, and it was collapsing because an endless procession of inept military dictators funding an endless procession of civil wars ruined its social institutions, bankrupt the country and basically exhausted its population well before a plague or a foreign army could do any real damage. Augustus took the first step over the hill and it was tumbling steadily downward since then.

Thought long and hard about how to make the campaign more fun without losing the identity of awakening an ancient empire, still don't know how to do it. People recommend TK Expanded a lot, but I think it just bloats the roster with infantry options(like TK gunners) and doesn't really fix the issue of everything taking 90 turns beyond allowing you to use slaves to speed up construction occasionally. I've literally spent hours of somebody else's pay thinking about different ideas:

After seeing CA's latest reworks I'm 100% sure they can give them a far better update than both I and the community as a whole could possibly think of, but Tomb Kangs won't get what they need if they aren't given a DLC or reddit doesn't talk shit enough until CA is forced to rework them. I have only ever played one Tomb Kings campaign and it must have been during some weird patch where growth was very slow, I think sometime when they made the changes to how control worked in WH2, and the result was that I finished the campaign in like turn 110 and I still hadn't reached tier 5 to unlock any of the special units.

Raid stance is retarded but i think i get the logic. You need 50 to enter the stance but it reduces 25 from next turn if you want to movewhile raiding. Retarded part is you just cant enter the stance and move at the same turn because then you spend 75 instead of 50. So you just have to move untill you have 50 and then enter the stance for maximum efficiency.

If anything I'd have moved Alberic to Araby. Repanse specifically defended her homeland from Chaos. Alberic has always wanted to take a grail quest but has never been able to. For a race whos sole saving grace so far was that it had really nice looking models, it's a massive ball drop. Both this and the Coatl are unforgivably poorly made. Honestly remembering that these two units exist actually makes me actively not want to play the Lizardmen.
The Coatl is an abomination that looks more like a Chaos monster than anything and it's animations are dumbest looking they could've made

Kislev needs like 4-5 more units to feel like a complete roster and it'd at least fix that part because I feel they are lacking in unit variety and I dont care for using SoC shit because most of that doesnt feel lore-friendly at all, even the retarded ice bear makes sense with what they got going on but the Incarnate of Beasts does not.

Who said this? Because they're retarded and they absolutely don't perform similar roles. Tomb Princes are supposed to be leaders who buff units near them and bat shit in melee. Tomb Heralds should be in the business of being a bodyguard unit.

I really don't want to give into CA's scummy DLC practices but am worried about using creaminstaller. From what i've read online, cream only seems to work because valve just doesn't care currently about pirated DLC. What if this changes and valve starts cracking down?
