Sure the process to own guns is not so straight forward as it is US (licenses, evaluations and permits and so on) but in someways they are more lax then US (suppressors are considerred safety equipment and there is no machine gun registery (you just need a good reason (collectors license) to own one)

Shoot Down: Front Aspect is actually a stand-in for HPRF (High Pulse Repetition Frequency), Shoot Down: All-Aspect is a stand-in for MPRF (Medium Pulse Repetition Frequency). I don't think the FIROS will stay at 7.7. It seems objectively better than the Raketenwhatever and the U-SH, which both sit at 8.0. You trade a bit less pen for higher rate of fire, more rockets and way more speed.

Watched the video, doesn't really account for explosive warheads, but the video itself has it's own exceptions.
That being said. Why are most... Most being the operative word. Video has bell curve for the distribution of impact angles. Pretty much all of the strikes, barring the game's artillery, occur at angles of impact that are the rare exception in the video. Sub 20 deg. In their own video the tanks are shooting what are extremely glancing blows.
The effects look pre-canned, which they are. If the smoke were moving, it'd be a little less jarring.
Ultimately, it's a point and click adventure game, not a physics simulation. But thanks for the interesting, although mostly unrelated, watch.

Of course, but you need to keep in mind that the video is about the shape of the formed impact craters, not the ejecta. You'll see that in the tests of extremely low angle impacts the ejecta itself is still going mostly straight up.

Sure, it's definitely not perfect. But it's by no means as unrealistic as many people seem to expect. It's just jarring because the expectation would be that impact angle and shell velocity have a massive influence on the shape of the debris cone the impact throws, while they really don't.

One other thing I forgot: In the video about meteorite craters you're watching hypervelocity impacts with a hydrogen light gas gun. The projectiles are travelling way faster than ordinary tank shells, and the substrate they're firing at is mostly very lose lunar regolith simulate which is way loser than conventional soil. So the ejecta is more dependant on where the shell is coming from, and how fast, than with a tank shell.

using encryption means you are using a digital signal which means you suddenly go from receiving enough (correct) bits to reconstruct the signal to not receving enough bits and losing it completely, while with an analog signal it degrades gracefully and is intelligable at much lower signal strengths
this is the case even with unencrypted digital radio, but encryption also adds some more headaches on top of that too

The props are 90% US/British copypaste, the early jets are just unremarkable when compared to the F-86 and MiG-15 and the early-to-mid Missile Thunder area can be pretty rough, but once you get to the Mirage 2000, it's handheld'o zone till the end. The first two wouldn't be enough for Gaijin to reject an EFT variant with the TVC engines, after all the Yak-141's IRST also fits these criteria and it's in the game, but the last one probably seals the deal as far Gaijin is concerned - the Yak-141 was at least planned to enter service with all the components that existed in isolation but never ended up being fitted to it before the thing was cancelled due to a lack of funds.

It's kinda like F8E but better. High speed, but slow acceleration. Very good pull but no negative pitch hence highwing. Cannons are good but making a good attack run is difficult compared to Mirage 3/2000 because it kinda drifts around like T-2 before FM fix and if you used Mig-21 for gunkills you'll have it easier here.
You also have 2 radar missiles, which pull alright and have inertial guidance but they eat chaff but thats not much of a problem once you realise how many players in 12.0 bracket do not use chaff or so stock they don't even have chaff unlocked. Also use your radar with MTI and wide scan sector to make radar slaved offbore shots with magic 2, its a dirty trick in a close to headon merges but it works.
Also mind that its engine is pretty efficient at fuel usage, so if you take about 25 min of fuel you will be able to fly at full afterburner for whole match duration without landing and if you have low fuel you become much more potent at dogfighting, to the point you being able to rate on par with ufo planes on takeoff flaps.

Based, I'm on board. Memorizing maps by heart should NOT be a thing, tank crews don't have that kind of experience of any particular battlefield and it's (usually) constantly moving so even if they do know an area well, they won't be staying in it for long.

There's all kinds of awardable actions you can get points and RP/SL for, and what you kill with what vehicle also matters. Generally don't really worry about it, just play something you do well at and enjoy. CAS or CAP spam helps a lot with farming points quickly, so if that's something interesting for you make sure you play a lineup and BR suitable to abuse that.

Missile hardpoints are on the wingtips because spacing out a payload reduces shear force on the wings. If somehow the weight was distributed evenly across the entire wingspan, there would be no shear at all. Wingtip hardpoints also induce less interference due to parasite drag but the main reason is probably just spacing.
