https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Scythe_of_EluneThat's the main info behind the creation of Worgen on Azeroth--The Staff of Elune was combined with Goldrinn's fang; And shows the Night Elves' connection to the Worgen--and Worgen Druids, specifically. Not to mention the forbidden "Pack Form" Druids had temporarily tried (A few still practiced it "in secret" tho)--They were uncontrollable wolves.
And their connection to Goldrinn, a wolf Wild God, is one of the top reasons why a lot of folks lean towards Worgens having optional tail choices--Aside from half of them pretending their Worgen is their own personal fursona OC donut steel.
I will always support more options for races--especially if Blizz ever gave them a lore reason, and having Goldrinn "bless" Worgen with the option of having one would be an ideal way to do it, imo; So, similar to how Huln Highmountain received a blessing from Cenarius, so that "his people would forever have the demigod's favor". That granted them the Horns of Eche'ro (moose-like antlers!).
