>>517424535It wouldn't make sense for Marika to not think about Godfrey/Hoarah. She is known as the "Eternal" meaning she's no doubt lived for thousands of years, or at least a hundred without her appearance ever changing or just in general having had an existence that warrants the title of "Eternal." That had to come from somewhere and the safest bet is just her being unaging and having lived eons in comparison to everyone else.
But in all that time she's only ever had two Lords, Godfrey and Radagon, the latter being literally herself so she, in reddit retard terms, masturbated herself into royalty.
The former is implied to be a hero, as the Hornsent warriors have armour hinting at that, Godfrey is also someone who took on a "Stormlord" alone and won, in a world of strength that feat alone would keep a wife for life in addition to that he seemingly single-handedly gave Marika the entirety of The Lands Between on a golden bloody platter. They even conspired about dethroning the Greater Will as he seemed very aware of her backstab plan of sending him and his Tarnished away, only to call them back later and shank the Greater Will in the back(which would also explain why no matter the ending the Elden Beast still seeks to strike you).
So consider Marika, this slave, who save the heroics, and was potentially aided by them, of Hoarah, a hero of heroes, you two fall in love and he aids you in becoming a God so you can save your people, but then you realize it's a trap.
He still aids you, he goes against the very laws of order with you while playing along with them and even agrees to return to free and kill God's God with you. I'd call them the only genuine lovers in the game.
She hated the thought of cheating on him so heavily she created Radagon to do that for her. His influence, plan maybe, even hooked itself into her mind as we see Melina quote her in a church.
Then the tragedy of the finale hits and you kill Godfrey. You then find her genuine corpse being- CONT
