Ideally you want the Mystic Punch augment because with that and Navori + Rite you'll basically always have Q3 up off CD and constantly shielding on yourself but it works just fine without the augment (the screencap I posted I didn't have Mystic Punch. The 70k shielding game I did have Mystic). For prismatic items Hamstringer is ideal but the other crit items like Galeforce and Sword of the Divine (?) works. If you can't roll any crit prismatic then try for Reapers Toil or Fulmination. Other than that just the usual Yone items. BORK, IE, etc. You can probably switch out BORK for another item depending on what you need at the moment. Also after my prismatic item I always go Navori into Rite. Your damage will lack a bit until IE but you'll have very good survivability and CC.

If you start the fight with it on the tank you can't kill the squishies as easily so its totally reasonable

ok not really but it is 100% necessary in arena where tanks and bruiserchuds are always the top tier picks
in a 2v2 game mode assassins being the rock paper scissors class doesnt work when rocks are so ubiquitous and you dont have 3 extra players to form a balanced teamcomp. Every champ should be able to beat any other class given the fighting game-esque team limitations

That's not why people say he is hard, thats like a basic Azir functionality that if you can't do that champ barely even works. That being said, its more demanding than like 80% of the champs in the game who don't have any sort of tech. I think people mainly say he is hard because his playstyle is quite finicky and unintuitive to learn. Its like playing a marksman but you move zones where your attacks are longer range and you have to kite with these zones. He's at very least harder than any marksman in the game imo.

The good thing about the old runes was that it allowed for players to make their own gameplay tweaks and adjustments like their own patches for their champs which gave them some control, when people didn't like it or didn't want to grind for it, they always had the option to just make default pages.

I agree this game literally can't be "balanced" anymore to cater to everyone's needs but I think if the players were given at least something to work with to make the games enjoyable it would help with the replayability. Or just go back to being able to 1v9 as a fed player or a late game champ instead of relying too much on your team, your average game is not an esports match so therefore should be less team dependent. It really doesn't help punishing the player for someone else's mistake.

League MMO will be bad because the lore and world building is bad.
MMO is short for MMORPG, it's why Classic works so well and it's emulating competition doesn't (including it's own expansions.) It is a mastercraft of immersing yourself into the world and your character.
Riot has rebooted Leagues lore twice (only counting full reboots) so why would anyone ever invest into the world?
And when you consider the only silver linings in League are the foundations of it's original concept and founding years and the vast majority of what the new devs have added have made the game worse, what do you think a game made by the new devs from the ground up without that oldguard foundation would be like? I think it will be ass, it will be new devs trying to regurgitate other MMOs without understanding why some work and some don't.
FF14 works because it's main story is the main selling point of the game, and seeing how it is having it's first real rough patch post-ARR due to the story being bad is telling.

A WoW clone will be better because this will finalize the lore into a single timeline without rewriting things all over again and you actually get to explore and see the entire map properly. Without having to rely on jpgs to fill in the gap.

And uninstalled again, downloader deleted and remove from recycle bin. This was all ranked Emerald MMR btw, I won't fully blame team because my gameplay is rusty. Mel is quite fun and cute so it is a shame the core of the new-era is so bad.
Riot have their work cut out for them trying to salvage this over the next year or two, but seeing the new monetization system indicates to me that their response is to milk people as much as they can before the game dies slowly over the next half decade/next decade or so.
Personally I think their best solution is to have a seasonal/split based available champion pool in Ranked, not a perfect solution but would make their job a lot easier.

I just said it would control like League. I didn't say you'd be limited to 5 spells or 6 slots.
So it would be top down like league and you right click to move and skills would be controlled like League skills with an emphasis on skillshots and autoattacks like League is now.

I think honestly maybe League 2 wasn't made as of yet is because the same issues with champ designs and balance issues will still follow after, perhaps that's why they were so adamant in making wild rift since mobas are kinda basic enough to be transferred into the mobile gaming market instead of PC.
Them milking the PC game also makes sense since they're so invested in so many projects that would probably be more appropriate for the PC gaming market but are just failing front right and centre. I'd say if 2xKO flops (which I think it will) and the MMO is officially announced to be dead and not worked on anymore (or is dead on arrival because pay to play or pay to win or gacha system) it's fair to say this company is absolutely done for. We will know for sure in the next 5 years for sure since that's when we'll see the release of the fighting game and also the new TV show seasons. The MMO was announced in like 2020 or something ages ago with absolutely nothing to show for lol.
This game will not die in a single blow but by a 1000 paper cuts, that at least is what I've noticed with the game released, riot forge dying, MMO binning and rebuilding, vanguard/gatcha, etc. We only need to wait a bit.

This game had a grip on my life for the larger part of a decade so it is sad to see it decay like this but at the same time I have a lot more free time now that isn't spent grinding SoloQ.
It sounds silly but grinding to hit Diamond also taught me how to improve at things in life and how to look myself in the mirror and admit my own failings, a life skill that I learned through a ranked video game, also solidified my belief in being able to reach what a man sets their mind to if they really stick with it and I think I work better under pressure now.

This game hasn't really taught me much except to not trust people and be aware of human nature/intentions.
In a way I'm a bit indifferent to this game dying and if/when it does die. I'd say it's more on the unhealthy side of games to get into though some like it dirty and therefore enjoy it despite their hissy fits over it, I've personally improved my life a lot when I was off it than on. It would probably be an overall net positive for the game to die than still live and I'd like to see it finally do so one day.

Wild Rift was a success, TFT literally convinced people to grind and pay $200 over pokemon eggs, LoR was also a success but I guess they made bad decisions and it eventually dropped off. They can make decent things. Jungle pet was a good thing desu, I tried jungling back ages ago and their trinket needing to upgrade into an empty damage attack speed item or whatever was kinda lame and a waste of gold when every champ had a core item that wasn't just the jungle item.
What jungle didn't need was all the terrain changes and extra mobs in jungle on top of buffing jungles sustain over the years where they can just clear and gank on ful health all the time.
The team oriented nature of it and all the jungle mobs like elemental drakes, grubs, atakhan were simply due to esports honestly, people wanted those tournaments to be a bloodbath so the jungle objectives creates an artificial objective to force team fights across the length of the game.

That was a key balance aspect of what made Jungle have at least one downside and not just being a free roamer that decides every game. The role was already the best in the game.
It used to have higher skill caps. The game times camps for you now, the game streamlines your clears for you now (no more multi camp clearing for certain champions that added character to specific champions and unique skills to learn), no more active items (this one is true for all lanes) that made the game more complicated which means a higher skill cap.
The game USED to market to new players on the prestige of Esports and ranked, it was THE competitive game after SC2 died and learning all these complicated skills and seeing others who had learnt them shit down peoples throats was the appeal. The game was made by devs of a WC3 custom game, compare that to new era devs who are mostly casuals who think

Which does not work for a game that is inherently designed to be competitive, the entire appeal of the game was it's difficulty.
What is Leagues appeal now? Arcane fans? Aram players?
Everyone knows that Ranked has leaned more and more into an engagement skinner box over a real showing of individual skill (which still exists of course, but is massively diminished compared to seasons of old) and this is causing the games ecosystem to crash.

The current jungle trinket is fine, I'm just saying it's overpowered in terms of helping grant clears and sustain too much especially in the early game which needs to be nerfed, the jungle camps should also be buffed to ensure the jungler is not mindlessly pveing but min maxing their spells and clears to ensure they don't die or are at least 60% health in their ganks rather than 40%, that they should also consider and think before ganking to maximize the resulting output instead of just jumping in because they have full health and smite.
The active items were something I kinda missed, I also miss the mythic items however again there were issues with balancing that out I guess.
Also competitiveness is also what ruined this game for new players, you say people join due to esports and the idea of learning everything to be above it all but that is also the exact same thing that overwhelms new players from picking up this game, noone wants to read an entire book of wiki pages and grind 100+ hours to know every champ then another 100+ for items and understanding comps and laning then their entire year of the season slaving it away for magic numbers to go up for borders.
The individual skill aspect is gone because they've also streamlined the game so much and made it so team reliant that it's extremely bland.

The game is bleeding players and isn't sustainable long term, the game needs new stuff to keep it interesting.

On the contrary, the games core is the only thing that DOESN'T need fixed. That core is what made the game number 1 in the first place and is the only reason it is still going now.
And yeah I am aware that people "cared" but again, only in as much as it gave slight background for their favorite characters. No one cared about Noxus invading Ionia, they cared about Riven's warcrimes and self imposed exile or Varus losing his family due to it.
The numbers don't lie, hardly anyone cared about the lore to a depth beyond surface level.
And that event was decanonized as they rebooted the world twice now.
The funny thing is most people didn't even care that the lore was rebooted multiple times because most people never cared about the lore to begin with.
This is coming from someone who DID read those color stories on release by the way, I did care.

It was the cost of being able to clear efficiently and have the power of perma roaming the entire match and being able to influence all three lanes with minimal risk and having full control over taking objectives.
It isn't this indivual change either, in isolation it would be fine, it is the broad philosophy of making the game more entry level but the game being a blend of skillcaps from many genres is what made the game popular as a competition in the first place.

The game's gone and done added new stuff into the map for years especially on jungle and items in general, there is literally nothing else they can really more to further add things to it, I think this is why the only map changes this season was changing the maps skin and atakhan, first because map update back in 2015 refreshed the game to look more modern or different and was overall positively received, second because jungle is the only thing that has been shitted up across the map for years now. They didn't do much with items this time though which is a bit strange and lazy. This game gets constant updates and map events like arena currently and a bunch of (shitty) skins.
I believe LoR was used to draft concepts for the MMO's world and then finally end the lore rewriting thing they kept doing but I don't think it'll ever release to make one solid narrative and timeline for people to actually commit to since things keep changing not only in the PC game now but across all media.

They have changed a lot more than just jungle though even if it isn't as noticable at first glance.
Minion timers, tower stats and mechanics, lane lengths, plants, and more have all had large impacts on the game (many for the worse mind you.)
Personally I think they should try their hand at making a brand new map from scratch for a 5v5 ranked mode. Not delete SR but just something new, it would give them an opportunity to fix the issues for the most part.
Imagine if the new map was also three lanes but the map was Noxus invading Ionia, similar to DoTAs map being halved aesthetic wise. Maybe there could also be a unique shop in the jungle like in DoTA or Warcraft 3.
Maybe they could have an objective that is escorting a payload from one part of the map to the other or something as well. There is so much they could do, Atakhan seems like a cool include so far even if the buffs he gives is overtuned.
I agree with your point for LoR as well.

Yeah people want to win but people also want to have fun winning, a lot of players who spam rank are torn between abusing the meta to climb or playing the champs they enjoy.
Also ranked is literally the only mode that will reward players the most with free stuff in terms of skins and even mission exp/rewards. Compared to playing aram only or whatever else unless they did that piltover bridge thing to artificially populate and reward it.
I dunno I think pushing for the whole eSports thing has ruined the fun in this game somewhat by punishing of removing dynamic gameplay and also making the game heavily team reliant, it's all lame.

That is what the game always was though, there was never not a time where the games competative aspect wasn't the forefront of the games marketing and appeal.
That doesn't mean casuals can't or didn't/don't exist, but the push was always around the skill based aspect.
I think BALANCING around pro play has hurt the game with that said, Riot trying to force metas or playstyles isn't good for the game IMO. Let the pros find their own ways to counter the meta instead of Riot just removing innovations they don't like. Look at Melee's history of viable characters with 0 balance changes.

I think it has potential and can be fleshed out to make strong narratives but a lot of writers in general thesedays lack putting out anything beyond young adults fiction so if you meant it being poor quality like that. I highly suspect this will be the case with the TV shows and further content being made onwards for PC league but the MMO has potential to make a static narrative and with a single timeline, though again, yeah competent writing will be a struggle. Play him with a poke playstyle until you feel confident and know what damage you're capable of doing at what item/level powerspikes.
Use your 1st thru 3rd shots on minions and then the 4th on champions before backing off so they can't trade back. Don't use your W/Q at random either or you'll run out of mana very quickly. Save your W for follow-up CC (wait for your support/someone else on your team to stun someone/root someone first) if you can as well.
And then finally make the most out of your E - it's not as bad as it initially seems. Pretty good for pushing waves as well as zoning people out of bushes or laying one on top of yourself when you're trying to get away from someone. It's got a lot of uses, really.

This is technically true but I wouldn't be worrying about perfecting/minmaxxing every little part of your gameplay. Not even the best Jhin players are all technical about the usage of his Q - even if you only hit one person with it it's still pretty much got the damage of an auto (or more than an auto) meaning that if you just auto-Q someone in an 1v1 you'll be able to outtrade them in that respect.

That being said, I wouldn't worry so much about intricacies like this. Focus on being able to consistently last hit as well as learning what all of the champs in the game generally do - I'm not saying you should memorize every ability (though if you play for long enough you might memorize that by muscle memory or whatever anyway) - just get an overview of what the champs do so you know what you're going up against. I remember playing with a new friend who hadn't ever seen Renata or Ivern before when I played both of them with him and he'd just stand in place when I used my Renata W on him (a spell that keeps you alive for a moment longer after you die and revives you if you get a takedown in that period of time) and leash me when I played Ivern in the jungle (Ivern doesn't need leashes - he doesn't hit jungle camps). Getting that kind of understanding of the game is crucial and probably what you should set out to do first.

Yeah, press R again for each shot. Are you using quickcast on that note? (it's in the settings)
If not, I'd suggest activating it and getting used to it. It'll help out a ton in the long term gameplay-wise being able to shoot out your abilities faster. I'd even argue that some champions really struggle to even exist/be playable without it like Irelia or Sylas. (or at the very least you'll struggle with them far more than you would with quickcast enabled)
