I wonder why beat 'em up games like double dragon and streets of rage fell out of popularity compared to fighting games like Tekken and Streetfighter. in my opinion, beat em ups are more fun. they have more interesting and varied gameplay, you can do coop, you get weapons and sometimes even vehicles.

Remember The Simpsons arcade beat em up game? Remember that track one for PlayStation? So good. Streets of rage 4 was a successful revival and sold a lot of copies, but it's still extremely small compared to the fighting games I mentioned
