>>516349937Alright buddy. Lucky for you, I like autismposting about BDs as much as some other anon likes autismposting about FMs.
There are 2 main ways to play BD: light and wind. Wind is not really available unless you have the blue Wind Sever skill book, so let's just work with light for now. Light BD does most of its damage with Flicker and Lightning Flash, which is a green skill book upgrade for Flash Step. You will want, at a minimum, a white book for Flicker, a green book for Lightning Flash, and a green book for Raid. A green skill book for Thunder Slash will make X a usable button. If you can get a blue book for Storm Cleave, then you'll be cooking since you will have access to Fatal Blade.
You will spend all of your time in draw stance, doing a cute rotation of LMB/F until your target dies. Flicker consumes focus, but Blade Echo (which is readied when Flicker or Blade Echo crit) does not. So you want to get yourself as high a crit rate as possible to help your focus consumption. Use Raid (2) as needed for focus recovery. Lightning Draw (C) is your main way to get into draw stance, but Strafe (Q) and Raid will do it too. Note that SS, Boot (1) and Anklebiter (3) will take you out of draw stance. If you have Storm Cleave, stacking up 20 Electric Surge will let you use Fatal Blade, which just does a ton of damage at once. Your basic loop is to use LMB/F with C, X, and V to pop off as many Fatal Blades as you can once you get that skill book.
Phantom Grip (4) should be used responsibly. It is extremely powerful for repositioning bosses or extending CC time for the party to get free hits in. You, meanwhile, are not likely to do any damage. You must have the blue focus recovery upgrade to make full use of Phantom Grip: until then, use it sparingly and only as needed.
Good luck anon and have fun with the best class in the game.
