The way pianosaurus is a mixmatch of a bunch of different types of dinosaurs reminds me so much of this one dinosaur toy I was absolutely in love with as a kid, not to mention the fact that I was way into dinosaurs in general back then (and now kinda). That plus my early love and later obsession with music meant I was destined to be a pianofag as soon as I first laid eyes on him. That's my backstory.

Theory time: Ollie is based on the Bionicles: Outside of the obvious skeletal appearance and the whole adding things to it gimmick, Bionicles saved Lego from bankruptcy and it's implied that data from Ollie were used to make the bigger bodies, which Sawyer advertised as a solution to Playtime's financial problems (it's implied that, in the end, it wasn't).

Honestly I like the idea that the Prototype isn't based on any real world toy more. Make it stand out better as this thing that even Playtime Co doesn't really understand. Chances are that the Prototype as he appears in the game and the Prototype as he existed before the BBI look pretty different from each other.

The Prototype is actually the good guy. The bodies you saw in Safe Haven were dead before he got there. He took the living toys away to a safer location and left dead ones where to trick Doey and the player.

I just realized something. We don't know what Ludwig's daughter's name is...and yet we do. It has to be Poppy.
Poppy is aware she's Ludwig's daughter. She knows more about her personal history than just about every other toy. You have toys who call themselves by their toy names like Mommy Longlegs who seem to have forgotten their actual identities. You have other toys calling themselves by human names like the ones in Safe Haven who remember their human identities.
Poppy is the only standout of being both aware of her history as a person but still referring to herself by her toy name. And it's unlikely that Elliot would trick her into thinking she's just a Poppy doll if he went out of his way to bring her back in the first place.
I think his daughter's name was literally Poppy and at most, the toy line was named after her. Conveniently when his kid died and was brought back as a Poppy doll, he could use the same name.

Ollie also calls her Poppy. Outright says "You're Poppy" in the tape where she confides to him and at that point, Ollie was pretty much her closest friend. If she had a different name, if there's anyone should have told it to, it would have been Ollie. Similarly, wouldn't Ollie taunt her by using her actual name when revealing he's the Prototype?
