How are they Adam and Eve if they don't do literally anything Adam and Eve did? If you view the scene in a vacuum, it's not accurate at all. It has the imagery of Genesis but no one is acting out anything that happened in it. The truth is you can't tell who is playing what role. It's either incredibly sloppy or the changes mean something.

Finally beat Mem. Second phase was a lot easier since she actually let you go +3 and -3 with buffs and debuffs as opposed to just +1 and -1in first phase before she spams silent prayer. Winning party was Thor Fafnir and Huang Long, they are my goats. Pretty aids fight desu but in grand scheme of things wasent that bad.

Overall I really liked Strange Journey. The music, atmosphere, and characetrs were all phenomenal. I really liked Gore especially when he became the ubergestalt and all his pro humanity talk. I love that shit. Jimenez and Zelenin were amazing reps, just wish maybe we had more time with them in their transformed state to make them wanting to kill us a bit less abrupt. This probably has one of my favriote scenarios and settings in any rpg I've played in a long time, the desperation to save earth in a strange demon infested world is so intresting, as oppose to other smt games where the world is pretty much already fucked so there's no rush.

It was my first dungeon crawler and I'm not gonna lie i don't think I'm a fan lol. First half of game was fine but when they start getting really annoying with shit like looking around for an hour because I missed an invisible wall and especially that teleport maze in the 5th area were so painful. Bit more hesitant to try out etrian oddssy now lol. Base gameplay was cool though. It honestly wasent really that hard, aside from Mem the only bosses I really had trouble with were Asura cus of his annoying status move and Ouroboros phase 2 for the same reason.

Tbh tho I wish I didn't listen to you guys and played redux. While I liked this game a lot I'm not touching it again for years if not ever, I'm kind of sick of it, so I missed out on all the extra content, qol, and better graphics of Redux.

Overall I liked it but I think from now on I'm gonna play the definitive version of a game always. Alao prolly google the other endings and what i missed in redux. Dunno what to play next between smt4 or devil survivor

I always liked how between each sector they would check in with earth to see how the situation was progressing and they would always show you how far the Schwarzwelt was expanding and all the demons appearing all over earth. V could have done something similar with how Tokyo was disappearing and perhaps said that it meant the netherworld was expanding past Tokyo into the real world.

Yeahh exactly. And everyone being equally confused and worried on the crew was nice, made it really feel like we were always in danger and sorta barley getting by. I really loved the whole military aesthetic of the story, I've never played a game before with it and it was super cool (I didn't grow up with cod mom didn't let me play)

While in smtv I barley felt that sense of danger because we always had aogami or koshi for protection and knoweldge. Not a bad thing they do their protector role very well lol just a intresting direction I enjoyed a lot. Always been a fan of games where it's a sorta weak group barley scraping by, kinda like Limbus, I love playing as underdogs and really feeling like it. Of course you are an underdog in most rpgs but they usually don't feel as oppressive about it

The book represents knowledge and that's why he brings her with him to complete the exchange when they leave. The book could mean many things though. The MC's own knowledge since it's his book or it could be seen as the "fruit" since there isn't one.

I found out something funny. Someone else Japanese finally found the parallel between Yakumo and the young man we found months ago. But then she says Tao mentions Nuwa sacrificed herself because she was in love with him. And I know for sure she never fucking said that in English. Turns out Atlus West changed that whole line. Tao does say Nuwa protected Yakumo because she's in love. Really funny shit.

Modern atlus localisations are fanfiction from people with huge egos.
Only the protagonist is a Nahobino, the rest are Unified Gods, tehom is the same void spirit being as mem aleph, original V mentioned PM was a protofiend and they just didn't translate it
I noticed the poor quality of these localisations around persona 5's release, when they made up a name for the other world (metaverse) that wasn't in the original script and when they completely interchangeably used the terms mental shutdown and psychotic breakdown in places where the japanese script didn't.

I didnt get a chance to reply to the one guy that brought it up. But I suspected Koshimizu was a protofiend (while playing the EN version) before I came across the information in the Japanese guide. The line about using himself as a template for Aogami and the way his Nahobino form with Yuzuru looked, made me think he was similar to his brother and not a proper demon. The EN version is still too vague about it though. Also, weirdly enough the text in the guide mentions Aogami being made to inherit Tsukuyomi's power specifically.

Satan is susceptible to Omnipotent Succession Charge just like everybody else. If you can kill Demi-Fiend (and you should be able to on CoV lmao) you can use him for Chaotic Will and MC dodge tank build in this fight. The goal in Satan fight is to make Satan lose turns so that he can't use Megido Ark. Every so often Satan consumes one of the adds that's still alive and uses their strongest skill but also absorbs their affinities so what you want is that you want to kill the worse one in every wave (like the healer) and then when he consumes Kaiwan he becomes vulnerable to Paraselene Blur. After 50% though he starts summoning 3 demons in a set and more of them but the thing with making him lose press turns and killing healers stands. If you want a minimal stat strategy spoonfed to you open spoiler.

I used Omnipotent Succession charge so I could skip his phase when he has 3 demons and it was still fucking brutal and took like 10 tries to actually get the strategy to work out since it's still not enough to kill him unless he's close to 50% with perfect buff/debuffs

Was thinking of saving the "male characters" Magma for White Day and considered tomorrow's theme to just be either a theme-less "free play" sort of thing to let loose and draw whatever we want since its kinda nice to not have to be restricted to a single concept sometimes. It also means you can still draw guys if you so wish, I know I'm probably going to end up drawing Raidou again because I always do lol. The only other theme idea I had in mind besides a few previous suggestions a thread or two ago was "crossover" which can still work for drawing dudes. Suggestions would be nice if not having a theme sounds too boring for us, I'm pretty much down for whatever.

By the way, tomorrow's Magma is probably going to be on the "short and early" side because once again the DM of our Nocturne TRPG and the other players decided on Saturday evening instead of Sunday. I could do a Sunday Magma too if tomorrow's is too short and people still want to draw. At least it seems like Saturday would be pretty good for Gartic for those who prefer that instead.

Oh man anon was right about Masakado being the easiest super boss in the game. Scummed the hell out of him by placing a phys and fire drain/repel on Nahobino and alternated dodging his phys/freikugal attack to make him lose his turns. Demi fiend essence also saved me from a fuckup in forgetting his pattern. Got him to 50% then Succession > Charge > PB.

That's every super boss for me. Now time to godborn Yoko's dumb route and I think I'll have finally gotten my fill of the game. Nocturne needs to go on sale already.

You get the full picture when you put both arcs together honestly. But CoC is nice because Aogami talks to them directly multiple times and it's a better reflection of how he thinks for himself. I like how much he hates Yakumo's idea and the implication that, even if the young man agrees, he won't go through with it until Aogami changes his mind. Which is why Aogami talks to Nuwa later about it. It's much nicer than CoV where Aogami doubles down on the "I'll do whatever you want!" with no complaints because he goes missing for a quarter of the game. They could still fix this with DLC though if they do something with Aogami regaining his Susano-o identity and hopefully saying something about the chaos end choice.

Twitter clowns) bent out of shape, i.e. the sheer amount of adults and demons that hit on le heckin' minor Raidou and the way the okama characters are handled. Especially in 2 when a lady flies off the handle and basically throws a YWNBAW speech into one's face. I also wonder if they'll get rid of Tae's "reward" in 2 where you can see her naked in a hot spring under certain conditions. But who knows? Maybe this stuff won't be messed with after all, I dunno. I forgot if Nocturne HD had much in the way of censorship.

Perhaps. It seems to vary, I think people still like doing them but sometimes weekends can still be relatively busy days if people actually go out and do something or still have responsibilities otherwise. Thread as whole seems pretty quiet today, too, so that could also be a factor. Last week was lively, and we only had one. I am pretty worried about burning out the other drawfags (and myself) though, so maybe we should take a break next weekend and not have one tomorrow?

If you disliked most of V, your opinion won't change as the only real new content outside boss swaps is the third area. i hated V but thought VV was ok enough, but I was heavily disappointed by what they did with it for the cast. the PM is the only real character to become more interesting. charterers like tao and yuzuru gets new content, but they never become interesting. Yoko is very questionable. The side quests are fucked as most have very slight changes to them in CoV compared to CoC, so you really should only do one route which should be CoV, or else you are going to be bored out of your mind with how utterly they didn't give two fucks outside testing new mechanic ideas that Digimon has been doing for years now. even with that shit, the gameplay additions are good and heavily needed. I wish they were in any other game. but you are honestly going to have a much better time and experience playing the modern Digimon games as they have become megaten-lite and are allowed to explore ideas more freely.

Solo run back up and running. Stage 4 was as annoying as expected but only took 2 attempts, and I only saved once for insurance.
Charlie hit a critical on a demon when I didn't expect it and I missed one of the treasures, so I'm debating going back although I really don't want to. Stage 5 is the first virtual space stage and will have Maria and Willie as AI-controlled party members. This technically breaks the rules but there's nothing I can do to stop them from fighting

I did stage 5 yesterday and stage 6 today. 5 was easy but took a little while since I had to circle the map to get all the treasures. I keep remembering Mastema being really difficult but he wasn't a problem.
There are two versions of stage 6, one with Willie and one with Solomon. While the character I choose doesn't matter because they'll never be in my party again, Willie's version has Keita as the 2nd party member and Solomon's version has Reika. Considering how she'll be forced into stage 7 and I haven't used her at all I considered Solomon's route but decided against that in the end because his stage is hard already and trying to solo it with 3 members would be a giant pain in the ass - but not impossible. I'll give Reika a strength incense for stage 7 and see how it goes, although if she ends up dying a lot I might have to go back to stage 6 and do the other route just to level her up a bit.
Stage 7 has Sakurako and Reika alongside 3 AI-controlled party members. This sounds like it'll be easy on paper but it's not, especially with Sysop being programmed to run into the enemies head on despite being a ranged attacker, so I need at least one of my party on his ass healing him. So this is basically the skillcheck stage of the early run

Come to think of it, the first game did feel pretty "friendly", almost like a tokusatsu if I had to make a comparison. The second game feels way darker, and the manga is also pretty fucked up but in a way that feels very much a product of the era it was created in. Tbh not really. I had my first playthrough a bit ago. I would say mainly just make sure to use dampeners, especially at the start, and try to dump most of your stats into the offensive stat of your choosing. You do get items to respec but they are kinda rare

Idk Zeus was just kinda like. Man, women, animal, he didnt care. And in most myths ive seen the gods dont seem to hold a grudge. Though that could be because a lot are sorta seperate. They sometimes feel like episodes of a villian-of-the-week show where each episode is seperate and dosent really connect to the others

The gameplay is basically the same between both. Some bosses are different, some quests are exclusive to one or the other (Masakado being a notable one). The only reason to start with CoV is if you're a personafag or have already played the original V.
