>>516944654As someone with an extensive knowledge of NPC mods, it's extremely hard for me to name truly good ones outside of anon mods. With that said, a few do manage to stand out.
>JaneCute self-deprecating autist, has an adorable custom recipe and I'll shill her as long as I live.
>Hat Mouse LaceyA great and extremely unexpected NPC, especially if you're an HMOFA fag. The hat dialogue gimmick is cute, but unfortunately the mod falls flat thanks to one thing: Lacey is as divorced from the rest of the town as the OG Hat Mouse. Nobody ever acknowledges her existence outside of one event even though she goes to the saloon regularly and it seems like the author does not give a shit about this.
>KatrielleThis mod came out in 1.5 while I was taking a break inbetween playthroughs, and then 1.6 broke some of it and I still haven't had the chance to play it since it's not updated yet. Still hyped to try it out one goddamn day.
>Lavril (East Scarp add-on)Probably the only real reason to install ES. A cute ghost loli with a really crazy intro event featuring a Scooby-doo door chase scene. Blatantly unfinished, but recently the author confirmed he will be coming back to it eventually.
>Eli and Dylan (East Scarp add-on)I recommend this with a huge fucking asterisk bolted on to it. First and foremost, one of the two guys is a fag and has a gay flag in his room, easily removable and effectively permanently since it's part of one of the tilesheet mod dependencies instead of the actual mod. Other than that, he'll pretty much never mention it UNLESS you have some of the other East Scarp add-ons with other fags. With that out of the way, this is on this list because the events for both brothers are decently good (kinda retarded that the fag's powers are never explained, but whatever), with two standing out in particular, the amazing deep sea events filled with moving sprites and tilesets everywhere. The writing also has some good snark, but be warned: it's painfully british.
