Went back to Doom and installed bunch of wads. It's actually difficult to find fun content what matches id's original designs without some extra gimmicks.
But yeah, I've never been without playing CoD this long. BO6 was the final straw for me. I could perhaps tolerate it if it wasn't for the blatant f2p upselling and Chinese visual preference tier skins (i.e. "gold" and "jewels"). I can't ignore it any longer.

Same. I've played CoD almost religiously since 2007 but after reaching master prestige inBLOPS6 I just can't do it anymore. The honeymoon phase is over and with every update they add more egregious monetization. more bugs, and compared to last year the minimal content we're getting with updates so far is abysmal. Also I don't usually complain about SBMM but it has literally gotten to the point where matchmaking feels like a slot machine and I'm tired of it.

The game is dogshit. I got to 4th Prestige and by that point, there was so much lag and desync and other issues going on with the game, I just decided to stop prestige right there. It only made sense that if I were to play BO6, I'd rather always everything unlocked. I don't play it for long and trying to force myself to play that game to get prestige levels is just going to be unpleasant because it's shit. I'm so glad I'm not one of these addicts who HAS to collect every camo and prestige levels and shit. Lol

Pretty much this. People who complain about lack of "advanced movement" features are really just airing themselves out as shitters who depend on it too much. No different than the ones who swore jumping around like an idiot was some kind of skill. It works on players who are so bad, that you don't really need to do all that to kill them anyway.

Pretty good. 6v6 are all bangers while Face-off are typical meatgrinders as expected except Bullet has the moving train gimmick and long distance engagements.

Cypher is amazing
PPSh is nice
Feng was buffed but it wasn't good at first
FAL is outplayed by the Goblin so it sucks for now

Overdrive is pretty good for a new gimmicky gamemode that swept its way through Face-off with season reloaded

The valentine ones are meh

Slipstream is fantastic
Hunter's instinct is alright, could be helpful in smaller maps.

Full auto AEK is great. The rest are mid
>War Machine
Reasonably priced and the damage isn't as bad as Cold War's but contributing to Nukes is quite the crutch.
>Zombies
The Tomb is fun as a pure survival map, it doesn't do too many things at once and the crew's dialogue is pretty fun. Though it's rushed in some areas and the easter egg sucks desu.
Nobody wants Death Perception
Remaking the Ice Staff is quite lazy especially when it's not a big overhaul like the Jet Gun.

Overall the content is pretty solid for a short season that didn't last for more than 2 months. It's an improvement over season 1 except for the skins and the collaborations. Can't say I'm excited for Season 3 knowing it's centered around Verdansk and Warzone.

I think the biggest issue with CoD is not capturing the new generation well enough unlike Fort and Valo. Like I just saw a guy complaining about college debt with CoD gameplay in the background. That's a pleb opinion. Treyarch saw how boring Cold War's maps were and decided to spice things up and it worked for a lot of maps like Skyline, Vorkuta and Subsonic. Now I won't say Derelict is a good map but it's nowhere as bad as actual bad maps and it would've been received if it had different art direction that isn't green grass and brown trains.

I hope battlefield 6 is great but V and 2042 sucked dick.
Bad company 2, BF4, and BF1 were incredible (3 was good too but it was and felt like a beta test for 4), but then they tried to make the combat more actiony and the vehicles less dominant, that and too much focus on a failed battle royale mode for V and a very half assed arcadey "universal mode" for 2042, even if the latter has some potential moving forward.
If it's true they're going to do something half way between Bad Company 2 and BF4 gameplay wise that would be fantastic, since I think BC2 nailed small and mid sized maps / encounters but failed at the ultra large maps that BF4 did so well

Zombies literally saved the cod dlc model back in the day. MW2/MW3/Ghosts dlc sold like shit compared to BO1/2/3 to the extent that Activision forced IW and Sledgehammer to do Zombies
Yea Warzone got popular during covid and a few years after, but the battle royale genre is basically dead now, even fortnite is desperately trying to explore different modes to stop players from leaving

Sledghammer is always apologizing and overhauling things based on players' feedback and MW3 was just an apology for MW2, except they didn't think the changes very well, so you end up with a schizophrenic pace where small maps are extremely fast and big maps are slower than ever. MWII was slow, but it was consistent in its slowness. can't say the same for MW3 because they are always throwing a new perk or an aftermarket part that changes the meta every hour.

You really think 4/CW/any Sledgehammer zombies are better?
Terminus is a peak zombies map, Citadelle is a great 1 time map, ans liberty falls / tomb have fantastic gameplay design rivaling the WaW feel of maps even if their easter eggs suck (but the side easter eggs are some of the best in the series for those two)
BO6 zombies is no question top 4, imo top 3 since I'd put it over BO1 zombies.

New zombie maps don't have that satisfying feeling of getting better
You learn maps, you learn movement, you learn secrets and generally become a better player which is very satisfying
Cold War and BO6 have a very low skill floor and it only gets worse as your stuff gets better and it's just downright boring

The damage curve needs to be addressed. Nobody in their right mind would try to train zombies in around 50+ with super sprinters, so why bother with nerfing the guns massively at that range? Either add PaP level 4 or decrease the damage nerf that kicks around round 35.

Excited to see the new Double Tap since the new logo implies big changes.

Rush, Checkmate, a couple others. Drive through is okay if I patrol the outskirts. Especially checkmate though. I SUCK at that map. Nuketown i do pretty good if I let them push me over and over again. But I like running around getting kills like in MW3. Very unfortunate. There's no character like Takeo, the rest are either out for blood or larping as cunts. The closest is Strauss, but they nerfed him a lot in BO6. A lot of stuff surrounding B07 don't make sense, Avalon being delayed in favor of Verdansk when it would make perfect sense to get it now since theres no mention of Avalon in BO2, the Hudson skin coming in BO6 when it'd make more sense to have it in 7, returning the original crew in the game that's more likely to get a Tranzit remaster instead of Victis...the mondays must be chaotic in Activision's offices.

Leaks were never reliable. My takeaway is BO7 starting as a BO2 sequel but it's currently being repackaged as a BO6 DLC. Kinda like how MWII dropped the cartel plotline and jumped immediately to Makarov killing Soap in MWIII. Avalon was delayed because they don't have enough content for BO7, so it'll be used for Warzone and Zombies outbreak.

This will also explain why Samuels is a level 1000 reward. Not to tease BO7 but to reuse the assets that'll never see the light of day. I don't know, it's pure speculation and unannounced CoDs are always mysterious.

I'm 90% sure it's the same speed as MW19 except they fixed the exploits like slide cancel jump and slide cancel into tac sprint and other stuff that broke 3rd person player animations. they did remove bunny hop and slide cancel resetting tac sprint but all other stuff like base movement speeds and ADS speeds were the same as MW19.

The Ricochet anti-cheat would work no problem if BO6 was on a PS5/Xbox Series only engine. Activision knows this, Microsoft knows this, everyone with common sense knows that developing cheats and work-arounds for BO6 is easy, because it was built for easily jailbroken old consoles. People have been running Bloodborne for free on jailbroken PS4's since...2018. Yea, within a year of PS4 Pro being out, bundled with Red Dead 2, the PS4 Slim jailbreak was fully working. That's why RDR2 could not be played on PS4 without update 9.1(or 9.3). Everyone had to download an update to play singleplayer, because games that had patches under PS4 software 9.0 where getting pirated out the ass in Europe and Russia.

No no no, 15% is too low. Last gen consoles are at least a third(33%) of CoD's playerbase. PS4 niggas are eating up BO6 for $65 as we speak. Top 10 on amazon means 10K units sold every 24 hours.
