Why don't they just make the Bagelpanzer turret and stick it on an IFV?

It's not that, it's that the game force deletes it. It's slow AF, but not without use at 20km etc for people who are camping.
So like the rockets that get deleted at x distance from launch, same happens to this.

It's still a basic Flanker airframe through and through, only with a new radar (still non-PESA/AESA) and compatibility with chink missiles. The Su-30SM will body it WVR no contest and be about equal in BVR if given the basic R-77 (will also body it if given the R-77-1, which still doesn't beat the SPAMRAAM but should be pretty close to the PL-12's range).

Depends on the block. The first one was still using the AL-31F, the second got a chink engine that's about the AL-31F-M1's equivalent. No TVC, no chink Flanker has it.

Dying to 9Bs is a skill issue, not to totally undermine your point.
The only two instances that 9Bs ever get kills in game are unaware or distracted enemies (for example you going RTB), or enemies in a critically low energy state. For example slinging an R3S at an F104 trying to hammerhead my mig19.
One of the most important "skills" in warthunder is threat identification. The only two F sabres in game that carry 9Bs are the 40 for China and Japan. The 35, 25, 2, and any American sabre cannot. The F86k (all), and Bl13bmk6 can, but the amk5 and Mk4 cannot.
Thats just off the top of my head.
As a continuation of the thought, if you were to consider 9bs as the pinnacle of whats broken in air rb the F9F8, Fury, and F3H would be far more oppressive. But thats not the case because the 9b is just so weak as an armament. (Avon when)

is it werf getting extra crew slots for GRB? i only have the base 5 and usually bring

>1 medium
>1 heavy or AA
>interceptor
>then strike aircraft
but i'm a death heavy player and even if i get 5, 6, 7 kills in a match i'll lose most my line up even tho i have enough spawn points for more (i also don't have many backups)... thoughts?

Depends on the nation and line ups.
I got an extra 2 slots for Japan for the 6.7 line up and an extra slot for USSR for their 8.7/9.3 line ups and another one for Bongs for their 5.3 line up.

Does anyone have a copy or is there an updated version of those GRB maps we used to have on here where some nice anon had drawn on them and showed you where all the best spots were for locking down sightlines?

Depends on if you can get the SP to summon your entire lineup. And of course, if the nation you are playing has something that can fill all the slots.
If you are a rage heavy player and aren't committed to playing the entire lineup, get ready for crew locks.

The appeal of a big line up is not spawn power but versatility.
Some line ups like 8.7 Russia for example have two different play style vehicles of the same role. Do you want an IT-1 that is a MBT atgm launcher or a Sturm S that's a camping ATGM launcher with therms. Do you want a BMP thats an IFV or an object that's a light tank.

It would depend on your nation and BR entirely. Generally speaking most players will never need more than 6-7 slots for a fully fleshed out line up (a light, 2 mediums, heavy if applicable, AA and 2 planes for example). Anything more is only for people who've spent a bunch of time and cash on the game for it to be even considerable.

>6th 200GE, 7th 500GE, 8th 800GE, 9th 1200GE, 10th 1800GE
And you'd need to repeat this for each nation obv, so this shit gets pricey fast. Get a 6th if you really feel the need for an extra since it's only 200, but don't bother going over 7 IMO.

Bong 15” at least is pretty good at splashing them through the barbette. Tennessee can handle them outside ~8km pretty well but for some godforsaken reason Palau has been in top tier rotation enough that I had to switch my ban to it. Point blank pen is the same but better aerodynamics should give it 2-3” more at range. Also according to HK basically every battleship in game added before November has better pen at range than it should because some bug happened with the ballistic calculations and gave them more velocity down range than they should have. Basically it should give the 15”/42 similar pen at range to the 14”/50 once everything is corrected

I believe most of the current missiles are ostensibly anti air. However with the Talos the explosive component of the warhead is best I could find about 225lbs of 75% tnt 25% rdx. That’s more than twice what Bravy is throwing and should be well within the range of one hit breaching non battleships.

What lineup should I grind for in rank V china? I played a bit of 6.3 china and it was absolute dogshit. The type63 is unusable imo so I just uptiered the m18 with the IS2, zsl92 and the plz83. You just get fucking raped by cas planes constantly. The base IS2 is mid, the zsl is alright and the plz is also just ok (bad reload). So I just went back down to 5.7 and grinded out the rest of that rank.

It has been surprising to me how dogshit the redtop is, it always feels way too fucking slow and way too stupid. Anon, some planes are just massively faster around the rate fight than they are pulling high AoA 1 circle where they dump energy so hard to get nose lead that they end up dead. But in this game it seems that everyone just hauls 100% on max elevator deflection even in planes like the F4 that cannot do that without massive energy loss instead of just rate fighting the opponent and getting the drop on them when they are low energy and you're still high energy.

Close misses on subs do deal damage in WoWS as long as the sub is surfaced or at periscope depth. Though, the shells don't actually travel underwater, it's more that the sub has a way bigger hitbox than the model would suggest.

Perhaps it is for one airframe due to the stab design, but it certainly wasn't the case for all aircraft
For example, ditching a P-51 was a lot more dangerous than bailing out due to the radiator design

It's mostly just the LF Mk.III that's really genuinely terrible because it's quite literally a heavier Mk.IX at a much higher BR
For the Mk.XVII and FR 47 it's mostly a subjective thing coming off of other spitfires, they have hamstrung climbrates and much worse hold-s-to-win capabilities compared to something like an LF Mk.IX which makes them less appealing

I get why you're putting the Su-47 along the same lines as those two, but the Su-37 is a simple TVC engine swap of the Su-27M, itself a fully complete jet that numbered in several pre-production airframes. It's FAR more complete than even the Yak-141 ever was, and that thing is still in the game in its projected configuration.

arcade has the benefit of in-air reloading so you're dropping loads until someone decides you're done and UFOs into your asshole
RB grinds somewhat faster per action, but 9/10 times fighters/attackers get the bases before you're anywhere near them and assuming you didnt get whacked by an interceptor you gotta RTB for a second run at the bases. so overall AB is probably still faster
its doable with jet bombers and some light ones, but heavies are nigh unplayable bar a few, you also have next to zero impact on the battle as a whole
having said that, its not like you need to grind them to get to top tier (if thats what you're after and assuming you're not grinding for specific planes in the bomber lines)

No, stealth doesn't work, period. Modern PESA (let alone AESA) radars detect targets with the RCS of an average stealth fighter at around 90 km. Stealth is more about bullying legacy hardware and lobbing missiles in extreme BVR, the kind that's impractical and inefficient in the game and only possible in Sim EC in the first place.

Meh, the historical MM has a lot of fallacies and is flawed outside of any point besides, well, being historical. WT decided not to go that way in 2014, and that's okay. It should be about balancing. For me, something like the M113 TOW should be around 4.0, where it would totally get destroyed by Panzer IVs and Shermans but could still take out niggerbunkers like the KV-1B/KV-1E, which (as always) are free to rape everything they encounter. That's balance, but I totally understand why this take is really divisive. Too many people are looking for too many different things in this game.

I like that in arcade countermeasures are virtually infinite, and that along with FM buffs makes defending against missiles whether its flaring/chaffing or just outpulling them kinematically much easier, so missile meta is not so oppressive and there are still plenty of opportunities for gunkills even at the very top tier, and maps are also much more kino allowing for much more varied tactics.

I use 80% throttle axis sensitivity for supersonic jets, that allows tapping shift once to get 103-104% of afterburner, holding it a bit for full afterburner and tapping ctrl once to turn afterburner off. Also scroll wheel notches allow for fine throttle like 101-106% of thrust and one full scroll lowers throttle by 15%. Really useful for fuel guzzling redfor jets (and F-14 too) while also allowing to use scroll wheel for thrust vectoring or wing sweep on some jets.

I made the mistake of trying out the M18 with nothing else but a 3.4 M4 and the M10GMC at 3.7, and instantly went against Tigers. I learned my lesson quick. It feels like a really rough tier to get into with just the M18. I'm fine with staying at 3.7 and just farming up three or so vehicles.

What I do is I complete Tier II and then move on to grinding out the Tier III tanks.
I don't normally move on to the next Tier without completing the Tier before it.
I don't buy Premium vehicles to grind a tech tree. Some people do. That's their thing and I'm not condemning them about it, but there is something to say about that.
I think that when players buy a High-Tier Premium vehicle, like the M1A1 Click-Bait at 11.7, for example, they are at a disadvantage because they aren't gaining the experience, to include map knowledge, to effectively use their vehicles and then they quit the game in frustration. I kinda feel bad for them. very sad.

It's a pretty good SPAAG, slightly outranged by the 35mm Gepard/Marksman/guntank types, but the volume of fire is fucking incredible, with decent radar, don't forget to set your search radar to 360 degrees. It CAN kill light vehicles, but I mean super light, even a bradley might tank shots but when something is light enough it just vaporizes them.

Not meming, I like having 360 coverage because whats the point of a search radar that only searches where you're looking? If I already know where the plane is I don't need the search radar. It's about 6 seconds to do a full rotation, you can set it in the test drive menu here, or before spawning.

>if there are no climbers left, dive on flareless shitters on the furball
Magics work great from 2km onwards, and become pretty much unflareable around 1~0.7km in due to how fast they are and the amount they lead so dont be scared to use them against jets with flares as long as you are in close range

IAS, M, ALT, A and G are more there for completion's sake so I don't have to take my eyes to the corner of the screen. TURNs and the stuff at the top right is more so to have an actual grip with actual numbers on the plane's turn performance.

Any sort of advanced editing (like speeding up the middle portion where nothing happens) I do in (pirated) Premiere Pro; WebM support there is dogshit so I just export the .mp4 that I then run through WebM for Lazies. The recording itself is made through Steam Recording in the background and then clipped and exported (also in Steam), super useful stuff (before I'd have to use replays to get the footage).

Depends which you're referring to the M48A2 C only has APCR and HEAT, in which case the HEAT is far more reliable, the M48A2 G A2 has HEAT and APFSDS, in which case I'd stick to the APFSDS for the most part
