Honestly, 9.0 was "ok", even with its massive issues. I also liked Revendreth and Ardenwield and their leveling stories/covenant campaign. It was 9.1, Korthia and beyond that completely torpedo'd Shadowlands and cemented it as the worst expac.

Just dawned on me all the keystone mounts each expansion is just a lazy back to back recolor. And all the vicious mounts are all mostly original exclusive designs with the only recolors being by what faction your on. Glad this expansion finally got rid of the lazy recolor gimmick for keystones.

PvP is absolutely riddled with smurfing, boosters, and solo BG premades. Only the most masochistic individuals are willing to spend 10 mins in queue and then 15-20 mins per match in never ending CC only to lose.

Not true, I didn't do any of this and played my class normal or whenever I'm in a pvp scene be it world or casual battleground/arena. Got myself to 2011 on shuffles and 2162 on Blitz. Also spoiler ahead I'm a filthy dad gaymer that is a renown clicker.

PvPers stand apart from the rest of WoW players. We are a different breed and our things should not be made easy to get for the benefit of lazy bads.

The ONLY barrier to entry in pvp is persistence. It is a near vertical cliff of keep trying until it makes sense to you and then it is a vast plateau of being better than everyone else and that is a good thing. Being adaptable, unafraid and tactically aware is not something that can be taught, it must be learned for yourself.

People need to lift it. There is no other way for someone who is new when some of us have been here for two decades. Catching up is not hard, it just take patience and determination to not quit.

Somehow the long bar to fill fucked up for me and gave me 2 token to trade for mounts.

That and the progress bar for the spider was bugged for some that lasted a month. However if you were like me and some others who caught on to this before they hotfixed it You can basically get 8 vicious mounts if you have a starter account character online at the time of the initial vicious saddle completion since they too with get a saddle in the bag, and mail. So that's 9 saddles unless you pony up the sub money on the starters and makes that 18

I don't remember what happens if someone leaves a dungeon finder group but I assume it does not refill and that there is a penalty for leaving. With tank and heal roles guaranteeing loot you can offspec and still gear both specs faster than queuing as dps 100% of the time. More people should be forced to play tank/heal to actually learn how to play in the first place.

Across how many difficulties though?
At the end of the day, the best rewarding one would be the one to run.
And that means you would get useless shitters in it, which means blizzard would likely nerf the difficulty, which completely undermines any sense of accomplishment and progression and it wil come down to MoP status when you run heroics for shitty gear and challenge mode for speed runs.

Warrior in like 9
Hunter in like 8 or 9 I forget.

One of the paladin matches I went 1050ish to 1600 in one match.
Warrior went 1370 to 1800 in one match.

Different modes give different values per match only matches above 1k count and everyones patch to 1800 involves a different number of wins how the fuck are you thinking you can determine how many wins it takes to get three elite sets?

the way MMR is right now if you go 4/2 or better you will have it in less than 10 rounds.

I got elite set on Hunter, Evoker, Warrior and Paladin.

Those are not first time players they are new alts fighting my new alts and everyone starts off at 1970ish mmr this late in the season.
The trick is to use that to surge rating to 1800+ before your mmr falls below 1700 and you're trapped in the basement with all the BRs.

How should I go about if I wanna dip my toes into the water of wow pvp? I haven't pvped since S1 shadowlands where I got 2.2k 2s and 2.1k rbg rating. I've never once solo queued for anything since they added it.

Its not "multi glads" in shuffle at 1800 mmr, its casual pvpers, some of whom like me are salty-vet casual pvpers. Ive never been above 2200 rating, mostly for lack of caring, but also beause I start to struggle above 2k, since I am not a dedicated serious pvper, I am filthy casual.

1800 rating is filthy casual territory.
If you're not there you're either brand new or not trying. Its a participation trophy "you showed up this season and actually did rated pvp, here's your set"

Elite sets are not some grand accomplishment, they are the floor of being a real pvper, below them you are not. If you have never gotten an elite set, you are not a pvper at all.

Well Blitz is basically 8v8 regular rbg, but it's random on who you get partnered with aka coin toss like I said. Shuffles is basically 3v3 but you have 6 rounds to play which the dps shuffle around each round. So goal there is don't lose more than 3 rounds if you can.

I don't see a problem with self heals. Also CC lasts for way too long. The longest cc should be at max 3 seconds and most of them should be 1sec only.
If they remove healers and heavily nerf stuns maybe pvp will have a chance if being taken seriously.

I know the patch is coming soon so it's likely to change but has the epic battlegrounds gotten any better with the premades?
I hit 2.4k in 2s and shuffle and 2.7k in solorbg but I always just liked joining epics for the big team fights. Eventually just quit logging in because 1/2 my games were against premades and joining a premade just meant my game was equally as boring just winning. Just not fun having half your team afk or half the enemy afk after the first team fight.
Haven't been on since October so didn't know if it had gotten better and most the people I did arenas with haven't been in on a while.

I remember all the years on Emerald Dream I could sit in random Dwarven Inns and see people come and go, some would stop to rp.
BFA the number of people I'd see while que'ing bgs fell off the face of Azeroth. By Shadowlands it was done. Went to Moon Guard, haven't seen a single person run into the old zones even on new characters with the appropriate Chromie time.
The old buildings are cozy but it's lonely.

Same kit aside from a small difference in barriers. Hell, frost can even cold snap to reset barrier or block. They have better movement. The spec is piss easy. And yet frosties die so much more. Why? Because the people behind the screen. Well, on average at least.

Mark my words. The few brown stain enjoyers with above room temp IQ are going to make the class look amazingly tanky, especially now that DK's passive bulk has been reigned in.
