This is an older map but I put the 2 missing watchers on with the yellow crosses. I think what's really throwing me off is the Radiant mid jungle watcher being moved closer to the safe lane. I was Dire both of my games and always stumbled onto that watcher being lit. Then, in the safe lane edge jungles it felt like the enemy always lit the watchers while my team never did. Felt like all the watchers were owned by the enemy while my teammates never lit any watchers they walked past.
I think what it comes down to is new map new knowledge to learn where reliable vision could potentially be

Every time i pick enigma i absolutely obliterate my lane then enemy just focuses my 1.4k HP turd of a hero and gets 10k comeback gold.
Not a single time did i had a normal team while raping as enigma. Playing dota with sub 2.5k hp heroes is fucking impossible.
Just played pango, literally survived 3 times vs nyx lina early on because of 125hp. Then there are some mouthbreathing niggers taking 10attack speed and i want to just choke someone while i chop their legs with a hatchet.

Dayum is Invoker back? I played a couple of games and I felt like I'm doing a complete 2015 herald cheese build by catching enemies with gleipnir and throwing meteor and sunstrike at them but it was enough to wreck divine players lol. It felt so much better than just right clicking heroes like a retard.
Laning is much weaker of course, but I like that old Invoker is back!

I'm just going to be too used to the old cooldowns, none of them are shorter at level 4 other than Shadow Wave which is only 2 seconds shorter which isn't even more than level 1 Bad Juju reduced, having to pop ult for Hex sounds shit when you'd just have it available all the time and looking at it the cooldown is the same as the duration so you'll only ever get 1 off anyways. Yeah the earlier cooldowns are shorter but don't come close to how much quicker you'd get them back from Bad Juju. I'll give it a shot but I can see it taking some getting used to

Wizard void is actually a thing with the new Time Zone cooldown fuckery
Things like hex, gleipnir, dagon, meteor hammer etc. refresh to get a second cast because of time zones buff, refresher lets you do it again AND time zone makes refresher cooldown faster too.
You can just stack up Time Dilation on everyone and spam shivas/hex/meteor hammer/gleipnir/whatever. Shit so cash

But to answer, Deadlock grew stagnate and Dota became fun again, plus Dota is the only game with Rubick

The heroes in Deadlock feel very weird to me as well, only Dynamo is fun in Deadlock because I can play him like a support/teamfighter, but Yoshi doesn't like the idea of "roles" in Deadlock so everyone is doomed to be some form of damage dealer with different ultimates, which isn't very fun

The problem is the game hasn't CHANGED or made any interesting developments. We all thought the framework of what was there would've had more to show, but we never got wards or meta concepts like pulling/stacking, and the heroes that are there are nowhere near as unique as the ones in Dota.

Its not about the concept of dedicated supports, its the concept of having shit like Axe in Deadlock or heroes that can facilitate entirely new strategies, and also being exclusively disruption heroes

Its roles that are beyond just "dealing damage", it makes teamfighting more fun and strategic and not just your average TF2 Chokepoint-slog.
I don't need to support in deadlock, shit I used to play Prophet 3 in 2019 and juggling that and support took me to Divine for the first time

Plus they don't like proper teleports and rotations in Deadlock either which is gay

I don't like this new map. It needs to be smaller, no wisdom shrines, less watchers and more ward cliffs instead, and tormentor(s) should be located in a more central location. They never should have moved the two camps near the tier one, they were literally perfect. I hate it here. At lest Rosh is placed perfectly in the river again. The fights there have been fun.

i think many teams can basically permastun during the duration
for example dk stun has 10s cd with 2.4s stun, if you get the +0.4 stun talent then dk can permastun someone by himself
other heroes can't really do it themselves but with some coordination you can

3s duration, 11s cd, that should be 11/4 = 2.75s cd with the chrono right
also a lot of heroes can almost aoe permastun by themselves
so that basically means chrono becomes like an aoe stun that doesnt stun your allies and also adds a ton of damage

At the end of the day, a FPS game is going to require everybody to do damage.

I quit Memewatch because of similar balance issues and Blizzard being greedy fucktards. If you're not doing 10k+ damage as DPS in a 10 min game, you are throwing. If you are not doing 10k+ damage as Tank in a 10 min game, you are throwing. If you are not doing 10k+ damage as Support in a 10 min game, you are throwing. There are other big issues with the game design and balance but everybody was definitely expected to do damage. Partly because you needed to do damage to charge your ults but also because you really, really needed to kill the enemy team every fight or else you're throwing. The only exception is Mercy, the healslut character, but even then, her ult was getting free flight with an infinite ammo gun for you to shoot everybody with. Every Support/Healer in the game before I quit were capable of high amounts of damage output to the point where they were considered better versions of existing DPS characters (e.g. Baptiste > Soldier).

Seems like Deadlock will go the same route / have the same issues. I watch Marvel Rivals posts fly by on social media and they are hilariously following every single mistake/issue/meta/whining session that Memewatch used to have. Devs never learn. And gamers never learn either.

It's a bigger problem than that, the changes that WERE present weren't providing further depth to the game, its just small tweaks to the map that don't really do anything for the game, tiny item rebalances and hero rebalancing, and occasionally a new hero

And the heroes that ARE there are so middling, there's no "this hero is amazing at X" like Nature's Prophet being unique for global teleport, Alchemist who generates income faster than anyone else, Morphling for on-the-fly HP and damage shifting

It was disappointing seeing Deadlock dumbed down mechanics and the team's goal of ignoring or "softening" hero roles like proper front and backliners, supports, initiate and disengage
The teamfighting in Deadlock is boring because of it.

I didn't notice before I read the patch notes but Methodical's crit damage rate was almost double the crit values of the RNG crits even though both were equally 1/6 crit rate. Thought that was unfair. Methodical is still 500% post-nerf while the regular crit is like 300%. Valve probably just nerfed Methodical not because PA is OP but because Methodical was getting picked way too much.

The stupid Refraction barrier is now like 50 HP per charge, with like 10 charges per cast or something? And that's really fucking up my ability to make TA fuck off. I took breaks here and there so I didn't keep up with every change and didn't know the barrier changed too and bought an OoV to use against her and that obviously did jackshit to her. Even with the buffs OoV got, it's still not enough to take out more than one charge of the barrier and I don't know how I'm going to deal with right-clicking in range of TA while she spams psi-blades and boosted right-clicks at me. I don't see her played much so I'm assuming it's not as impossibly OP to deal with as I'm making it sound but I don't know what to do in future games against TA. What's the strat to deal with laning against TA?

Guys I think the new ringmaster facet spells are waaaay fucking worse than the old ones.
You have so many less defensive options if an enemy gets onto you in the backline with them.
I guess the unicycle can save you some tps I guess? The pie is funny but I'd rather have strongman tonic and whoopee cushion any day.

I play a dota or two every other day and i certainly am not watching any dota save for ti and i missed it last time.
Im not getting any calls anymore despite my extensive resume because im a fat balding manlet brownoid and when my gf leaves me i will end it all the same day.

I think this new map will increase the average match duration even further, at least in pubs, they seem to be much longer right now if only because people don't understand how to efficiently do things on the map but i doubt the average match length will get as short as it was with the old map.

This isn't the Midas glitch, it's a separate new one.

I don't know details, but basically the dude bought 500 TP scrolls, then ults, sells a stack and then buys BoTs and then sells it I guess. Then he ends up with 500 extra TP scrolls when the clone comes back. Then he does it again with 1,000 TP scrolls, etc. It looks like he's using a scripter to click for him or something which is why I'm not sure on the order of operations.

Dude ended the game with 100k+ net worth and every time we killed him everybody got like 10k gold.

Makes sense when you realize the map is designed by support players. Supports do not farm so they don't understand designing a shit map with 10 miles of space between every camp makes farming impossible. It's not their concern. There's literally no farming pattern to be done, triangle has 2 camps and then every other fucking camp is blocked by trees forcing the player to walk around them wasting alot of time. Jungle is already nerfed they give 0 farm or xp. Top and bottom sides of the map has the new frog jungle camps quite terribly designed they instantly ravage illusions taking 80% of their hp. But it makes sense when you realize narcissist support and offlaner valve employees designed this shit patch with absolutely 0 fluidity of movement in the map. The only fucking thing in their mind is how much damage thunder strike is going to do so they can have impact during laning. I was playing a game just now, shadow shaman dealt 1450 damage with shackles to me and he wasn't even shackling me, he was using it on slark. Balance team are support players and offlaners, they nerfed every fucking carry made farming impossible and only buffed supports. It's the most unenjoyable patch for a very long time.

The marker just tells you where roshan is and also doesnt update until he moves, so you might ping top, but he might be walking bot.

Trying the two new heroes and Ringmaster seems actually better designed than Kez, which is disappointing. His lifesteal and DoTs seem really tacked on and unthematic. Feels like they just wanted a League-like mechanic hero just to have one.

Ringmaster feels more 'Dota' because all of his shit is basically just slight variations of other heroes. He's super fucking boring and it's obvious they couldn't get whatever original idea they had for him to work. At least they tried new shit with Kez.

A lot of the most famous League heroes are all about self-sufficient combos with just their own spells that have a ton of effects (Kez can silence, stun, get extra lifesteal, do % health damage...). Kez even has a dash that every other League hero does oh and he has a grappling hook too.
