>>514859264Wizard fag here. 2 questions:
1: is it me or does "Armored Essence" kinda suck as a passive? it effectively gives 15/25/30 extra essence, which seems kinda ass for 1/2/3 talent points. That's like.. half a spell per talent point. I guess there really isn't any way to justify getting this?
2: when you cast a Grimoire spell that you have a talent point in, it casts it 1 level higher. Does that mean if you have 3 points in a Grim spell, the spell essentially gets "level 4 damage", or does it just make grim and regular spells functionally identical?
>>514867587>>514928017Fellow magefag here: Magic is rough in the beginning and I was feeling the same, when I had to throw a bunch of ice shards at every enemy to kill them, effectively going out of mana on every single enemy.
But now I'm level 5, I got some points in the electric attack, and it honestly just shreds entire groups of enemies, and I use far less essence each fight, while recovering a bunch from the "enemy died" orbs. Occasionally I eat an essence food after the fight (potions recover quickly in fights, food / drink only recovers quickly out of combat so you can't eat 500 cheese wheels skyrim style). I think magic's pretty fun, if a bit annoying to find the spells you like and manage your hotbar.
