I know of Project Zomboid, Unturned, and DayZ. Those as far as I know are the 'best' ones (though I hesitate to call them that at times).
My favorite one is Cataclysm DDA, but that's obviously not multiplayer.
I was wondering if you guys know of any other games? Recommendations? Is the genre cursed to mediocrity?

It's a great co-op game, but it's not really zombie survival. It's an arcade shooter.
