Only reason you would need to transfer is to go on a gooner I mean RP server.
And when you transfer, you will likely have to change the names, effectively ruining those characters.
Otherwise, you can join any other guild from high pop server and use them for crafting, because that's the one thing low pop servers suffer from.
Other than that - mats and consumables on auction are region-wide, M+, raids, pvp... all is cross realm and cross faction.
Also all the mounts and titles and transmogs you could care for are account wide, so why not just replicate those old characters on the other server.

you can go do area52, illidan on NA or tarren mill, draenor on EU and still have full worlds

Legion sucks for leveling because it has no weapons drops and you need to grind dungeons for relic drops to slot into artifacts weapons otherwise they are stuck at ilvl 10

The aesthetic of is WAY better in particular. Like this is Kino unironically. Valdrakken felt haphazard and most of the city was very dull, like just not visually interesting.
By comparison Dornogal is so pretty that you can take a desktop worthy screenshot of basically any part of it.

Dornogal does have comfy dwarven aesthetics but everywhere looks the same. It took me weeks to remember where the AH, inn, upgrader and Vault are. And there's huge portions of the city that don't ever get used for anything. Valdrakken was unique and built to showcase dragonriding. There were loads of cool towers and bridges to perch your dragon on top of, and if you teleported all the way to the top you could glide to anywhere in the expansion in 2 minutes. Dornogal on the other hand feels built for ground mounts. The only useful route it has is the shortcut to AK but it's in some tiny fucking alley with chains everywhere that are just designed to cuck you when you're on a flying mount. It would've been a 10/10 city in Vanilla WoW but it doesn't feel modern like Valdrakken did.

WoW realistically hooks people alot harder than almost any other game. Think about it. Most people that play at least at some point think to themselves "I could play this forever". Shadowlands was FAR worse than WoD

The only thing truly wrong with WoD was a desert of content at max level. THe story, if you ignored the time travel crap, was fun. The setting was great, like who doesnt wanna go to Orcnor? I sure did. The feel was correct. I call the Horde garrison "Frozen Ditchistan" in the most friendly way. I can see how an alliance player might have been less happy but as a then Horde-main I loved it.

Cata was mixed, its damage to the old world was ....Cataclysmic.... but the expansion itself was a good time and its Patches were decent.

The voice acting in dragonsoul will never stop being painfully bad, but on the whole It was an enjoyable expansion. Not the best, not even top 5, but I didnt hate it

Shadowlands nearly killed WoW, By comparison Cata and WoD were simply "mid"

Its really tragic that so many cool settings, assets and opportunities were squandered on Danusers shitass waifu story.

Cata definitely did damage as it was the first real foray into stuff that wasnt already well established from War3 and it showed. Also the massive number of players that only knew LK level of difficulty were not prepared for the difficulty spike in heroics caused blizz to kneejerk nerf everything and it all just became boring. Plus LFR.

depending on what you play, it isn't as daunting as you think. as a returning player who has not played seriously since mop, there was a ton of shit I had no clue on so my UI was pretty simple at the start. I play a caster so I installed omnicd and configured it to only track interrupts. I had no idea when my healer was in cc so I installed bigdebuffs and configured it to have only cc and curses show up on party frames. as my game knowledge expanded I wanted to monitor my healers cd availability to help prevent overlap so I got ability team tracker. so just start out simple and expand as your knowledge gets better. I don't use weak auras on principle

i think the fact that there are healers in shuffle is what makes all the addons for cooldown tracking necessary. healers are too powerful and that turns the whole thing into a control game where you need to know when cooldowns are being used to react accordingly, and this is sooooo boring. i was having so much fun in arena skirmishes because none of that crap is needed, you can just queue and have fun without having to stress because theres no healers.

Well, the Arathi Basin one just doesn't pop, so that might just be a patience thing. Inside you can't place the "Sturdy Love Fool" toy, because toys aren't allowed. You might still be able to place the limited use "Love Fool", though.
Beyond that the Naxxramas one says you have to "do that outside", which is impossible while also being inside the raid. I've tried the glitched spot near KT's boss room, but it changes the error message some other bullshit instead.
A lot of threads up on this right now as well as Blizzard admitting fault, but offering no solutions as per usual.

It wasnt the worst expansion gameplay wise it was the worst expansion story atmo and thematically, so much so that like half the pop just fucking left.
I played a shitload of pvp in Slands, first expansion I elite setted an arena healer(disc for the s2 cloth) First time I got an elite set from rbgs, Pvp was unironically bumpin in Slands. It sucked if you played for story or if you were a speedrun tranny.

I Loved Revendreth, I enjoyed ardenweald and I even didnt hate Bastion once I got past the campaign. I literally cleared the story campaign once and never touched it again.

but overall the other guy is right, personal play is far more impactful to the outcome of a match than whoever has more addons. I've seen some abhorrent UIs on lower rated players who think having every addon show everything all the time is helpful when it actually obscures important info or what's happening in the game world

Fine by me. I don't use it for much aside from customizing the information already on the screen (like making a static HUD at the center of the screen). With improved spell graphics and more telegraphed boss attacks I don't really have an issue with this - so long as the Blizzard alternative actually works.

The "edit mode" bullshit on the UI they have now doesn't even save properly between characters, so.. I'm not optimistic.

Well yeah. The reason they haven't been solved is cause they haven't even tried. They made healers unkillable gods in Cataclysm which killed PvP and they've never even attempted to fix it ever since.
I'm just piggybacking off the anon hypothetically imagining a perfect world where the devs actually address the healer issue.

It's whatever, obviously in reality they will never even attempt to address it. No game does really.
This isn't new. Healers ruining PvP games is basically as old as video games themselves at this point. The entire concept of a healer/support role is for women/casuals who suck at video games so they can play something and feel like they're participating and contributing to their team while the other people actually do the work. As time has gone every game has made their healer/support roles so fucking strong to compensate for these shitty players that the healer/support role now dominates everything. Every online PvP game with a healer/support role it always makes or breaks the game.
It's all cringe and in a perfect world I would remove all healer/support roles everywhere.

when you finish a bountiful delve with lives remaining, you use your key to open a chest at the end
then you have to go and find a different bountiful delve, there are 4 bountifuls up every day, and they reset with the daily reset

solo shuffle is good though
it's just that 15-30+ queues make it unplayable

I've played some PvP in the past and the solo modes seem like a step in the right direction compared to the absolute lowpoint that was Shadowlands PvP
You had more teams with some max item lvl carry than regular teams, it was absolute cancer to play as a normal player
