Last thing I remember from the town I was staying in, there was a ruin fo what used to be a guard tower/bell tower/any kind of tower in the middle of the place, right? You could see bats swqarming in and out at dawn/dusk. Overhated, just not underrated. She's fine. She can be annoying sometimes but I did like her dynamic with Hubert.

Her biggest drawback is probably that people prefer the Houses design which isn't relevant in Hopes. And also that 3H has so many popular characters she ends up having lower priority. The game has ten winners and Sylvain, Yuri, Dorothea, Hilda, MShez, FShez, Ashe, Ingrid and Hubert all in the top 50. She has tough competition.

Crimson Flower was made last, and has the least amount of finished cutscenes.
Every other route gets 3+ pre-rendered scenes, but CF only had one. Everything else is either a still-image or a black screen.

Robin and Shez are both male coded. They were clearly written with the character being a man in mind. At the same time though they both translate well into their female versions. Robin being a calm nerd works regardless of gender. Same with Shez, being an impulsive idiot (which is an intentional writer choice with other characters acknowledging he's kind of retarded and not just bad writing ala Corrin/Alear) translates into FShez because she ends up coming off as a weird hybrid of a tomboy and a bimbo which is kind of hot conceptually.

Corrin and Alear are both blatantly female coded. The character is supposed to be a woman, I don't think anybody would deny that. However they're characterised as helpless princesses who because of bad writing also come off as retarded despite this not being intentional. This does not translate well at all into their male counterparts. Those are really unappealing traits in a man; submissive, low IQ, effeminate. Does not work at all. I think Corrin and Alear are just shit characters generally but submissive low IQ princess has an appeal to some coomers, whereas when you make that character a man it just transforms into "gay retard."

It's because those make good qualities for a princess, but not a prince. Look at Corrin. Male Corrin is supposed to be a "prince of Nohr." Byleth has no dialogue in Houses so neither. They're just there. The most you can really tell is that Azure Moon is meant for Femleth.

In Hopes they have a lot more dialogue but since the whole point is that they're a murderous soulless automaton, again it's not like there is a gender they're SUPPOSED to be. In Hopes its more like they are clearly intended to be the opposite gender of whatever your Shez is. The dynamic doesn't really work otherwise, especially if you're in a timeline where Byleth gets recruited. The whole part about opening up Byleth's heart only really works in the context of MShez/FByleth and FShez/MByleth.
Likewise the fight at the start works if MShez is getting the shit kicked out of him by a woman or if FShez is getting manhandled by a male soldier but not really if they're the same gender. The FShez/FByleth cat fight is kind of silly and while MShez/MByleth works as a fight the later supports just don't really work as well, they're clearly supposed to be opposite gendered.

By year 3, their art had changed quite a bit, with the only similar-to-book 1 art being Lethe. And by the end of the year, New Years Lethe was added with a completely new shading style, implying that Base Lethe was draw back near launch and held back until Beast units were finalized.
Alfred's shading style (and other small details, like how the eyes are drawn) match up with launch units like Fir and Ethlyn, and not with units release in Book 3 and onwards like NYLethe or PKatarina. So it's very safe to assume that Base Alfred was drawn back around launch of FEH.

Which is also why only Roy got Wada'd, and Lyn had to be done by a different artist.
I absolutely believe a "Lumera-outfit Alear" alt already exists. Brave voice lines are also so often generic, that you can release it even if she loses.
