Engineering in vanilla was very powerful for both pve poopsockers and pvp poopsockers because the devs had some cool little gadgets for engineers that they added to the game for shits and giggles but in 2025 it's mandatory to have this luxury profession if you're in a semi serious guild for either pvp or pve.
I repeat, engineering is a money sink or opportunity loss (when you have mining) for a casual player to pick instead of other professions because it wasn't designed to be like that from day one.
