I thought the idea of the augmenting spec is really cool, but I'm not making a character that forces me into that form
Druid also never appealed much too me, but I didn't look down on people playing them, if I see evokers or dragonfags in general I will judge them

im not gonna quote it as evidence that nobody really wants to play a support spec cause it never had any flavor outside "give stats to people". but... it still has all its support spells, its right there, yet no one plays it.

I love Zovaal. It's a shame he never got a HotS model so we could get some good porn of him.

Have the tree branch hard into "nodes that buff aimed shot/serpent sting" and "nodes that buff rapid fire/barrage", like why THE FUCK is salvo and small game hunter below the aimed shot branch and why THE FUCK is legacy of the windrunners and Wailing arrow below all the rapid/barrage nodes.

Marks should always present a choice betwen being a Rapid/barrage/explosive shot spec and an aimed shot/volley/windarrows spec
with Rapid obviously favoring "gun" races and aimed obviously favoring "bow" races and the middle of the tree holding multishot/trickshots, deathbow buffs and trueshot.

I have avoided gearing through M+ and my characters are 617 and 610 respectively. but lategame its what they filter you into to get the crests you need for the highest gear. so you can either do M 8+, or heroic-mythic Nerub. those are the endgame options as far as gear goes. Because even if you pay to make crafted gear you'll need crests from M+ or the raid. maxing out ilvl is kindof a fruitless endeavor because at the end of the day, it'll always be outdone by the next expansion/patch gear. 620-630 is pretty much where people are capping at. I tend to do other stuff because only gearing up forever gets boring.

Grouping is fine, you can find groups for the raid and stuff. It's the same as it's been LFR - MYTHIC is dependent on your ilvl. Pugging raids can be annoying at times, with rude people or those who are extremely impatient and leave after 1 wipe. I'd recommend joining a good raiding guild for the best experience. You can pug like I do, but having played both ways, I feel it makes things easier and less annoying to raid on a schedule with a guild.

As far as knockbacks go, dracthyr's is better. And a knockback is still a whole lot worse than dwarf cleanse. Also, I'm not sure, but you probably can't parry or block during the knockback cast, so it's a liability to use.

Raiding cannot be fixed as long as Ion is in charge.

and the whole "race to world first" being a spectacle only accessible to the most spergy willing to spend literal tens of thousands of dollars on it until its "nerfed", read tuned for normal players, instead of being something accessible to the average high effort guild within a couple weeks is abominable.

Like the idea that its effectively locked for everyone besides a half dozen commercially sponsored guilds is both absurd and disgusting. If it takes 10 million gold worth of consumable to clear the raid for the first 4 weeks the raid is too difficult, regardless of it being "hard mode"
It should be mathematically practical to clear the next raids mythic in last raids mythic gear as long as you execute mechanics properly. The whole splits and drop rng thing is a RIDICULOUS gate.

in short, "TL:DR" E-sports are fucking cancer and Ion is *the esports guy* who presided over WoW calamitous decline, watching participation drop and drop and drop which making encounters ever more overtuned and more complex.

there should be NO CONTENT **designed** for a "professional raiding guild" that has corporate sponsorship and infinite consumables from a legion of support crew.

The idea that the rest of us don't get to play until the e-celebs get their month is like 70% of the reason I just dont give a fuck about raiding at all anymore.

I want more of the beastmen races to be like Gnolls and Kobyss.

Like Kobyss are a GOOD always evil baddie race. Theyre actually uynsettling to look at and pose a believable threat. Theyre murlocs without the lampshade. WoW having lampshade races is fine but it should also have non-lampshade races.

Kobolds have never been scary and even the huge ones are silly than dangerous. They're round and lumpy. they should be famine-core, mangy and have sharp nasty teeth.

Doing as much damage as you can all the time is basic video game 101 at this point because this concept applies most games. The faster you attack and the more damage you do, the faster things die and the less damage you take and less mechanics you have to deal with.
The faster you burn down a boss or a mob, the easier the entire encounter is. Being aggressive and relentless is how you do well in video games. You need to be pressing buttons all the time.
Like I said this applies to all games, you play call of duty or marvel rivals and the players who are constantly shooting and applying pressure do better than people who are more passive.

Lot of the Alliance races fall into the same generic fantasy music problem that the generic villains raids and dungeons do when it comes to music..

Ret is literally made to not think. You get auto attack AOE, the fewest buttons of them all, several invulnerabilities, they even solved the wheelchair class syndrome with your charger having two uses.
HoylPal is just as mu8ch of a faceroll, you just maek sure your tank stays in your consecration and you autoheal them at all times. When it gets hairy, you use a holy shock or a flash heal, but that's about it.
Even Protadin is indestructible as long as you are nicely standing inside your glowing dancefloor.

I dislike the current talent trees because they make all the problems of class design way worse.
There is huge levels of defensive bloat which means healer design is in a terrible spot. Every player has random passives which decrease damage taken, or multiple charges of defensive abilities. It means the damage that is dished out is incredibly spiky because they have to design around the tools we have.
It means base buttons can't do anything of value because then the 17 passive effects that are given to it would make the spell way too overpowered. See Renewing Mists. All these spells now have a dozen modifiers and it's complexity for the sake of complexity diluting the actual feel of pressing the button in order to pad out the talent tree.
My talent tree is filled with inconsequential decisions whereas the old rows offered me far more impactful choices about what I wanted to do with my character. In what world am I dropping Counter Shot? The answer is none, not only because you need an interrupt in every dungeon and plenty of raid bosses, but also because there's a 10% aimed shot damage increase beneath it and I'd be retarded to not take that.

I quit in WOTLK and came back in BFA so I missed MOP, but every time I watch a gameplay video from the MOP era it looks incredibly basic. Every class has 40 buttons but they only use 3 of them in combat. It doesn't hold a candle to the complexity of TWW or DF.

Far too many modifiers on spells which makes button presses feel inconsequential. Especially a problem for healing specs and healer design in general but many DPS specs also have it.
Also specs like Fire Mage. it's as if they've bolted on almost every bit of borrowed power to that spec since Legion with no rhyme or reason and then stuck the hero talents on top of it. It's just way too much and deviates from the core of the specs.

Following the main story of an expansion and getting to max level in barely a dozen hours isn't following a guide or optimising the game in any way. That is how the game is designed now. You are railroaded, pushed to max level and given excessive numbers of xp boosts to help you get there as fast as possible.
That's how Blizzard wants you to play. Not because of following a fucking guide. Why do you think they constantly give massive xp boost events? We just had the anniversary even which gave +20%. Now we have this Turbulent Timeways shit with +30% xp. Back during DF every patch had some sort of xp booster thing. It's because endgame is the only thing that's actually developed and levelling is an afterthought. I wish it wasn't like this, but it is, and now that they've made it this way, they can't go back.
They TRIED to go back in Legion, in 7.3.5. They increased the time (and difficulty) to level and people shat themselves so they nerfed it back in 8.1 and then made levelling basically instant in Shadowlands with the level squish.

make an alt.
go into the world
do stuff, whatever strikes you do, wander around, gather ore, BGs, pet battles.
do quests whatever, but DO NOT have a plan.
Do stuff till 80.
go do the quests in a zone youve never done.
do anything other than follow someone elses plan.
