>>513297829What’s the deal with being banned for gold? I’ve had several people trade me large quantities of gold (large to me, 50g-200g). I played a lot as a kid back when the game was originally out and never saw past 50g. I was bad at the game and made a new char whenever I hit level 40, but just off the AH I had 50g by level 25 on this char.
I’ve heard about people buying gold and how they’re about to banwave gold buyers and I’ve heard a bit about how if someone trades gold they bought to you you can get banned is that true?
On the flip side everyone seems so helpful on my server. I’ve had randoms help me do quests they already did, I’ve returned the favor to others. That happens all the time. I had a guy make me the blunderbuss for warsong quests and then today he mailed me 4x 10 slot bags a nice wand and a full tailored armor set to replace everything I had, and I already had some okayish blues. My guild leader also does that for new members when he meets thme in game for the first time, gives them around 20g and makes them bags. So the server is genuinely helpful. And it seems there is a ton of gold in circulation. But still I worry. I’m also pretty sure there’s so much gold in circulation because people bought a bunch when it launched. The prices on the AH are wild. Stack of wool will sell for 5g-10g, same with linen. So perhaps it’s possible the economy was actually helped by gold buyers?
I digress, am I at risk for being banned? Truth be told I have no clue how much gold is a lot at lvl 60. It just seems insane someone would give me 100g 200g shit even 50g unless they had thousands of it and could easily make it back within an hour
