A temporary deal with some local Voodoo Boy netrunners led to a precision strike disabling the merc's combat chrome but V is still unaware for now and more or less occupied with barely winning against dozing off in the hot Southern Californian heat.
At last, V smells trouble brewing as multiple large figures appear from outside her peripheral vision and one of them stands directly in between her and the sunlight leading to a rude awakening for the tight merc.
Obviously being outgunned and outnumbered, V tries the diplomatic route while scanning the environment. As she tries her best at reasoning with the Animals, she makes a couple of threats and associated hand gestures but to V's shock it does nothing to dissuade the pack and instead appears to lead to escalation. The protruding bulges surrounding her make it clear to V that soon she'll be fighting with a group of trouser snakes.

Depressing might be an actual hunt for me. I'm more keen on somber, which actually tracks really well with how NC is. Its kinda just like a... "it is what it is" kinda thing, however awful it might actually be. Some gonk day laborer get another implant one too many for this new overpass job his company is working on and ends up going cyberpsycho and needs to be put down. Some cat trynna sling end getting his girl and some random chooms caught up in a crossfire. Some small time merc from Watson takin a nasty pitch his first time trynna bat for the major leagues...

With her chrome failing her at this most perilous moment, V is easily overpowered by the combined strength of a dozen or so Animals with, what appears to be the pack leader, tossing her tight body over his shoulder for relocation to a more romantic spot.

As the situation seems lost for V, bad leads to worse, and a gang of Voodoo Boys show up to claim their share of the booty for their part in neutralizing the infamous merc's lethal capabilities. Soon the beach has become space for a battle royale for V's ass and the vulnerable merc is tossed hither and yon and not a hole is left unscathed.

The sun starts to dawn and the bonfires are lit as hapless bystanders look upon the gang war and the solo merc in between the fighting eventually leading to a reverse tug of war with V's body being used as the rope.

At the first opportunity, V manages to crawl her way to relative safety resting herself against one of the dillipated beach shacks. Her gaping starfish stretched to such proportions that it could easily fit Silverhand's ego. While licking her wounds, V feels a hot candle wax like substance drip down upon her from above. She looks up and her eyes meet a pissed off expression. It is Razor Hughes.

Instinctually V raises her legs and simultaneously the terrible python with an apple in it's mouth rests against her belly. With a weary sigh, V closes her eyes and accepts the rematch

The turbo V-Tech is a difficult car to handle, it's like a wild horse, maybe there's better route but this one worked for me.
If Retro takes part I wonder if they'll do much better with mods, because clearly the front training wheels can take the torque from the rear ones when turning.

It's not consistent but sometimes I get this weird ass flickering on NPC's skin. Webm related. I've tried flipping a few switches in the settings but I can't seem to find anything that causes this. Anyone got a notion of what this might be?
Google isn't being helpful, the game has had too many flickering and other issues in the past. I can't find other cases with the same problem.

Aside from the corp path, that place is also ridiculously easy to sneak into. I like the whole mission setup and scouting but the facility itself was such a letdown security wise. They hype it up like it's half a fortress but in reality it's just a matter of jumping the wall, waltz right, creep past 4 or so dudes you don't even have to take out and reach the objective while you're still flirting with Takamura on comms.

I came back to do another play through when I saw how good DLSS 4 is unironically. I have a 4090 and play at 4k using path tracing and the fact that everyone is no longer an oily oompa loompa and I get 120+ fps is honestly enough. There is no open world game that looks this good. I will finish this one and probably do another play through after the 6090 releases and I get that (going to 5090 from 4090 doesn't seem worthwhile imo)
Maybe in 5 years or so consoles will have 4090 levels of power for $500 which will make a lot of games start to implement path tracing

Mods are in shambles. Hard to tell what's working and what isn't. Lost all my setting for ENC and whatnot. AMM was a major culprit. Currently don't even have it installed. Not So Good Draw Distance had to go too for some reason. Had a mod called CreateYourCharacter that I have no idea what it was or what it did, but it had to go. Almost all of my saves were corrupted.
But I can play again.

Actually, was reminded of you yesterday when I got to see how weird AMM decor user presets can be. tldr I removed a preset I had made in my last playthrough and it would still show up ingame on my current. Not a problem since I want my preset and I figured out what I needed but could see how decor can fuck things up quickly. Glad you can play again.

Pretty embarrassing. I think the first thing I did wrong was download a posepack that was set for 2.21. That seemed to upset red4ext and/or AMM. Deleting the pack didn't help. I guess I would have had to take AMM out of my mod folder and/or delete r6/cache, but I didn't know AMM was the problem, and instead I just tried dropping a new red4ext over my old one and a copy of a fresh r6/cache over my old one, rather than getting a new one by deleting-verifying

I think I've got everything set. My setup is pretty similar to Legs as far as combat mods go with the only differences I think being I use ENC and don't use any netrunner mods. We do use different dmg values though because of ENC. Yup, that's the one I saw. It is an ingame switch set to a keybind but you set the perimeters of everything in CET. At least, that's how I understood it. Then there's this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13077 which seems to do the same but in a different way. I believe that Preem Weaponsmith also allows you to switch the firing rates in a crafting menu but not on the fly.

Yeah I've started messing around a bit more with DOF even though I usually don't like it much. I guess it works best in those shots with busy backgrounds. And yeah I loved the view up there, the places where you can really take in the NC view just makes me wonder if they'll manage to capture that feel again in the sequel. Especially with the engine swap..

Im kinda just going through them, mostly brand-by-brand and driving them around for a while and trying to get a feel for each one. Think the one I like the most is the quartz r660(picrel), despite it being my least favorite of the designs. I like the look of the r275 a lot more, but good fuck do they all have the worst fucking shifting sound ever. I didnt notice it too much on the Banit and Spectre, but the 2 bottom line quatzes shift so annoyingly. The Bandit actually has this real neat turbo sound to it, so maybe thats way I dont notice it as much, and the Spectre sounds pretty good too.

I will say that I do love the Bandit's design. It doent have a trunk on it. It might wlhave some area like the license plate or something that lets you access the stash, but I didnt see it. Still, real neat design. Easily the worst handling of the Quartes though. Its traction slip limit is way to loose, and its not the good kind of drifting slip either. Its like, powerslide to 0mph at best and doing a 160 into a wall at worst. The Spectre handles pretty well. It grips a lot like the r275 and r660 do, but wiith slightly better turning radius. It does have a looot more giddy-up than those two, but a lil braking before hard turns and you can still take them satisfyingly fast without triggering the treaction break threashold of it. The r275 and r660 both do handbrake drifting really well though.
