I have no idea why anyone plays YGO these days. First Turn Wins threats are so common that they had to invent a new card type (hand traps). Every metagame is manufactured - Konami essentially tells you want to play and how to assemble your deck. Very restrictive and no creativity in deck building.

I have no idea why anyone plays MTG these days. T2 red aggro wins with T5 unstoppable two card otk combos, snowballing into unbreakable board advantage, infinites and token spam that require your opponent to play all type of removal on top of their deck, that they had to turn the game into gay fomo fortnite to attract new players and keep old players spending money, while scalpers and ""investors"" buy up new sets to resell them at a 300% mark up.

Every set is more badly designed and powercrept than the last, art sucks for the most part - Wotc essentially only gives a shit about siphoning as much money from the 30-50 year old player who is in the game too deep to quit.
Very restrictive and no creativity in deck building since every color basically plays the same as your average YGO deck these days.

But yeah, just rename a plane because the DEI inspector said it means nigger land.
mtg will never have something even remotely close to gemini elf in their art because it's le seyssitsts and gayophobic and they'd rather use AI.
