None of the Windrunners are likable. Sylvanas was just the least annoying for the longest time, until they intentionally tried to make her worse, then tried to salvage it instead of comitting.
Alleria's just someone's OC wearing the face of a character from nearly 30 years ago and hasn't had a good scene at all since her "return", same with her husband.

in my experience sub 2.2 was knowing game mechanics and esoteric matchup stuff, I got hardstuck 2300 for a long time because my movements & gamesense are worthless. that and it gets less tolerable, there'll be at least a couple people per game who know how to grief, like DKs isolating slow classes, mw running flag, bdru ele spriest aff actually doing damage

>95% of talents are either 100% picks or 0% picks
>utility nodes competing with throughput nodes
>basic QOL stuff is unreachable (Fluid Form lol)
>things that used be baseline passives are now talents, you have to spend 5 points to make your abilities do what they did in BFA
>if you have to move 5+ points to switch from ST to AOE your spec is automatically trash in M+

The new talent system was made purely to try and emulate and chase that classic nostalgia.
Instead of actually providing additional compliments to your class, it felt like they merely gutted every class and spec putting core spells behind talent trees.
Luckily this guy moved onto Riot during DF, but Hero Talents are just suffering the same issues as Holly's talent rework mandate caused anyway

Saurfang's son died at the wrathgate which was an alliance and horde team effort. he was resurrected as a mind controlled DK who you kill as a boss. Despite working towards the same goal, horde and alliance are at odds with each through icecrown cause of the fallout of the argent tournament. So as alliance when saurfang comes to collect the body of his son, muradin tries to deny him because they're currently at odds, but then varian steps in to elevate the alliance above the conflict. As a fellow father and warrior he respects saurfang and soldiers dying in battle, and does not want to deny a man the basic decency of burying his son.
Jaina tears up at the amount of honor, valiance, and respect the varian just displayed. It shows how good of a man and leader he is.

Shit didn't work out that way, so instead of Alleria getting her edgy void elf arc sooner, it got delayed until they (the writing team at the time) unfucked Sylvanas in Shadowlands and unfucked the Nig Elves.

It's not just layering, if you are using DF Chromie time, as the game suggests after completing Exile's Reach intro island, you'll not see players that are in "present timeline" and vice versa, even worse NuBlizzard disabled many portals in the portal room, like Northrend portal, Exodar portal, Tanaris portal, Shattrath portal simply don't work in present timeline for low levels when they worked just fine in previous expansions

Hunters have an absolutely retarded amount of defensives now, they overreacted to "hunters are squishy!" feedback and now I have 2 charges of a huge damage reduction, a last stand ability, a not-always immunity, a huge heal WITH cooldown reduction built in AND THEN a health pot, healthstone and a second health pot if I sacrifice a dps potion
that's not to even get into the passives in my talent tree which just give me more hp, or reduce damage taken
Defensives across the board need to be pruned, it's one of the reason healing is so retarded and unrewarding now.

Every class should be able to press at least one button to reduce damage taken and/or recover damage taken. But I do agree that there is an incredible bloat of defensives at the moment. Hunter, warlock, and mage being obvious outliers. Reduce the number of defensives, increase the effectiveness of existing defensives to compensate if necessary, and voila. Less button bloat and healers get to have a healthier environment.

How fucking long does it take to fix internet? Played 6am-8am this morning. Finally got a party ready to run WC after failing to do so all day yesterday, then internet went out. Inspection guy arrived within 15 minutes and we had an ETA for the whole area by 8:30am. It was supposed to be back on at 11am. 12 rolls around and nothing radio silence. By 1 we got an update that it’s gonna now take until 5pm. That’s the entire fucking day with no internet. What has this nigger been doing all day? It’s like he knew what the issue was immediately, lied to avoid being dispatched somewhere else and sat in his truck with his thumb up his ass (I’ve had to drive past where the outage occurred several times today and he was in his truck every time just talking in the phone), then took his lunch and finally gave the real update at 1. Now the whole area is waiting on a restoration team to arrive which will probably take another hour alone.
I got emails to send my boss before tomorrow and I want to level my lock. I haven’t enjoyed a game in years and finally got back into classic wow and I’m actually enjoying it. 9 hours are you kidding? 5 hours and they haven’t even begun fixing it is absurd.

I’ve been sick tho so I guess I’m taking tmrw off as my last day of sick leave to play and make up for this shit.

WoW becomes most fun when you add an element of RP to it. You don't even have to be hardcore about it. Just playing on either MG or WrA and having a mini background for your character adds a lot to the game imo.

The issue Blizz has with talents is that they continue to think up of 3 different things that will always, objectively, have 1 best option for the group before going to the next tier.
You need to have WIDTH to the talent trees, not DEPTH which is why people just convert to cookie cutter bullshit instead of experimenting.

Talents should have 5 to 7 options per tier, yes, and each fucking one should be so juicy that you want all of them but can only take one.
People will still just go with what "da pros" take, but in actuality each one is comparable within a few percentage points.

Right now its just so fucking obvious what to take that it's actually comical. Even for the classes I don't play it's painfully fucking blatant what to take.

Hello hoping for some input about rolling in raids. Classic/ BC was all I played as a kid from like 7 years old until I was 15. I didn’t know what I was doing and just liked leveling chars to around 40 and then farming whelpings.

Played when classic dropped a few years ago for a couple months stopped when my friend group/guild were all being faggots and all had falling outs over rolls. Got back into it this week and I’m loving it, actually know what I’m doing. I’m seeing the same issue with rolls with randoms and it’s all the shit I’ve heard other people bitch and gripe about but essentially

Like clothes rolling on mail or warriors rolling on wands

Like quite literally they won a roll for some blue shit and equipped it immediately, then rolled need on the same type of armor but it’s green
>guy rolling need on the same exact blue item after he already won it in previous run and won it again
Can’t make this up he has 2 now and there were 2 of us who could have really used it

Legit had tank winning every single roll just rolling need on everything. Staves cloth armor rings for +int and +spirit. He just rolled need on it all and kept rolling high.
How do you deal with this crap? I stopped passing on shit I don’t need out of spite. I’m already making decent money in AH so I truly don’t need to roll on shit I can’t use out of greed but I do t wanna do that. This broke up an IRL friend group 2 months into classic launch so obviously it’s worse with randoms

Part of the conflict I’m having is just moral. That IRL friend group disbanded because I was told to pass on a BIS so a random that joined us could have it as payment and that the next time it was mine, then a handful of raids later with just people from the group where I was bitched at by our shaman friend for rolling need on that item for my character (which I lost every time btw because he needed on it too and kept winning) the priest then in another raid did it back to the shaman on a BIS staff and won it as revenge for me, shaman started throwing a fit and crying so I called him out on his hypocrisy he had a tantrum. Like actually cried like a child.
Day later we all got in an argument with each other like 10 people with a couple pairs of 2 siding with each other via discord we all more or less said suck my dick and guild hopped and never spoke again.
It’s like the principle of the matter that’s got me. But I guess it would be silly to expect it could change

I'm probably in the minority but I HATE "respeccing" and switching shit around once I have it set. I don't want to finagle with my fucking action bars and keybinds every time I'm standing in front of another boss, I find that very stupid and tiresome, not to mention tedious. I am more than willing to be either ST focused with minor cleave, or AOE focus with minor ST instead of just NOPE YOU'RE ONE OR THE OTHER.

I hate that shit. I want to set it and forget it to build muscle memory.

Unfortunately, women are either there to be sacrificed in some way to create tension in the plot, or act as a vehicle to make new characters via birth.

maybe my class and spec is one of the fortunate ones with "good" trees but the freedom and flexibility of builds is probably my favorite thing about ele (my only main since I began playing in wrath) and this expac. I am constantly switching up talents for different match ups and content. healing/earth shield talents for more sustained survivability in wpvp/unrated bgs, totem/interrupt/decurse build for wizards, max mobility for melee train, then mix and match for specific melee×caster comps and another layer of flexibility or synergy with honor talents. i love having the freedom to adjust for specific comps and having difficult choices is engaging, and having the big brain realization that the choice only appears difficult cuz of my playstyle, let's adjust that and try to make this build work. is it "optimal"? probably not, but I can make it work and when the payoff is there is becomes deeply satisfying.

I think a major issue is how much reliance and respect is put towards sims and not how a class feels to play.
I recall a time in BFA when I was gatekept into doing guild runs because my DK spec was "wrong" despite only being a couple thousand (read: less than 3k damage) behind another person yet I had far more uptime because I took talents that I knew I could work with instead of what was optimal if you assume perfect play.

Yeah, I could squeeze out another paltry 2.5k if I played the spec with additional buttons and fine-timed talents OR I could have an easier time keeping smooth DPS instead of derpy mc fucking fruity DPS because I'm juggling 4 more buttons.

Fun to play. DPS is a little boring with so few abilities, healing with it has a similar problem but at least it plays much different to the other healers. Third favourite of healers. And Aug... exists.
I like the theming of them just embodying the dragon flights powers, even as a bastardized version of them. The charged spells could do with work though, they're slow and not very fun to use just because they're forcefully giving you time to hit the bar you want.

Tied to Drac sucks a little, but I'm only finding the walk/run animations awkward, everything else is fine, I can make the drac look tolerable enough to like it. Visages are fucking awful though, race choice for them is bad enough but their custom options are atrocious.

Not a ton, got a decent RBG rating as a disc priest in MoP and low but also decent 3s rating as feral in WoD but that was a billion years ago and now I'm playing holy pally. in shuffle its going to take you a long time to gain the knowledge to be good and this late in the season you can easily get stuck in elo hell with the retards that plummeted past the starter mmr and its pretty much russian roulette
the good thing about that is that you can generally play alot more aggressively to dig yourself out by standing on the enemy healer to kick them, roll every one of your hojs on dr and get a rep off of that, should get you some wins
