BM DD and Infernalist Succubus are the only other builds I'm aware of for those two.
I guess you could try an Infernalist firemana build but I haven't seen many, I think the main ones run off cast on X but they nerfed that (you can't gain energy with skills that cost energy).

Pricefixing chinks and various RMTing thirdies that live on the market have completely ruined trade.
This game desperately needs an actual market where things can be listed, browsed, and purchased instantly.
The only possible reason someone could be against this(yes, including YOU devs) is if they're exploiting or irl profiting upon the current system somehow.

I'll take a look at that channel. I've exhausted much of illusory wall's content (a lot of behind the scenes and alike), and slowly going through that 12hr lore video. I try to keep my spoiling to a minimum (even with knowledge, like where you can get good shit early on) but the tiny bit of 2 I seen it graphically/art-style-wise looked like a downgrade to 1 by a lot. Similar to Demon's Souls. Is this fair or was I perhaps 'unlucky' in the little bit I seen and maybe other areas looked much better? I seen the hub (?) and some iron forge/molten castle area (dunno the name). But yeah I've got that video up and will check their other vids out. Thanks! I like how dialogue is rare and brief in this game, with a lot of info actually within item descriptions and general world-building (environmental story-telling), much more my thing other than most other game's of just dialogue-filler (PoE 2 is the same really, sadly). It would make it a LOT more difficult to RMT. After they implement an AH like this most RMTing would be done with direct trades while most players would be using the market so it would be a LOT easier to catch RMTers if they wanted to.
Also, for almost anything about 4-5 div and up, it's starting to become a problem where a massive portion of the first page are fake listings(fake price like 1 div way lower than the actual value like 4-5 div but they'll never respond to you) so that it gives the illusion of the item being worth less. Those sellers then buy up items other people list at the fake price nearly instantly and mark it up(what i was referring to with pricefixing chinks earlier. it's entirely chinktext users when you message them)
An instant market would entirely prevent that.

And it'd vastly accelerate the already quick and awful inflation, of which I'd wager GGG are acutely aware of and is at least one big reason why they have refused to add an AH. PoE 1 leagues are done and dusted in ~2 weeks even by pretty regular players (not talking top skill or whatever) and are whinging for next league (reset) so early into each league. I'd personally want an AH or for them to fundamentally fix SSF (not happening from GGG) but I can see why they haven't done an AH.

LE's SSF was perfectly good pre-CoF, though. Hell, GD is great SSF too and there's no meme guild in that either. PoE's SSF in my experience is the worst of all ARPG. They've attempted to fix this with the retarded amount of deterministic crafting for rares but in doing so they've invalidated and ignored much else of the game. PoE 2 of course suffers the most.

It it's funny they called the video "A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players"
Implying that PoE 1 players are some sort of small minority when in fact each league pulls in half a million players across both Steam and Standalone versions.

If you're not dumb, you can clearly see the only reason they did this is because they do NOT want PoE 2 numbers tanking.
95% of people left playing PoE 2 are hardcore PoE fans right now.

skipper-kun, asala killing jamanra in that manner gave him an honorable death (fucking important) and they let his body be placed in deshar afterwards. that shit isn't to be taken lightly. the faridun were then given amnesty. jamanra was wronged but in the end he got the maraketh to acknowledge him and the faridun.

reason Jamanra is revived by the countess is because the Maraketh assassinated him the first time and covered it up with bullshit then forcibly suppressed the Faridun while not resolving the reason the Faridun became a faction in the first place. She uses Corruption to revive him at the Halani Gates in the first place which is why it's closed when you get there

The issue at hand is that people list items they don't intend to sell in an attempt to bait others into listing and selling theirs at a lower price than it's worth. It's disingenuous, scummy, and only made viable by the system they've created. If you had an auction house, market board, bazaar/personal shop, or any other system where once an item was listed it was purchasable without the seller being able to pull it back then all of those issues go away.

If you want to see this in action search for Ingenuity on the trade site and whisper the 50 cheapest sellers and see if any commit to the sale.

instead armor should just function specifically for big hits. im not a math head so i have no idea, but somehow they should make armor reduced more damage depending on how big the hit is. HOWEVER smaller hits should then not be reduced as much. this makes a lot of smaller hits the thing to really worry about, which then incentivizes building health recovery.

The problem is that they thought this would be fine in the first place despite the fact that PoE 1 already demonstrated that mechanics like that are dogshit.

More filters and ways of sorting. I mean, you can already set trade filters to somewhat filter out the most likely botters via listed time and min max price. But then again this would be market goblin behavior so probably not good enough for most people.

As a new player, it's not fun to have to engage in trade to get gear

I don't know if people will agree with my opinion, but hear me out.

I'm a new player, I was scared of by PoE1 and I felt really excited about PoE2, cause i think that the game did a lot of changes to make it more accessible. But I find a lot of friction in the game's loot system that feel like they're intentionally trying to sour my experience. Unique drops don't feel impactful. Crafting is basically just identifying (but multiple times). And trading is so powerful, yet you have to go out of the game and use a website to access it.

I wish i could play the game and be successful in crafting gear. Use my currencies for what is written on them instead of hoarding them for their value. Getting uniques that are useful for my build. Not having to go to my browser on a website, looking for gear. Is that such a hard ask?

Now, you might tell me, SSF exists, there you can use all the currencies you want. But in the state SSF is in, getting good gear is not even a casino, it's a lottery. Lottery for rare currencies, lottery for uniques, lottery for everything. There is no buildcraft, there is just randomness. The game is still fun, but imagine if all of those weren't actually a problem?

I'm not trying to rant here, I'm new to PoE and i genuinely like the game. However i've seen interviews of the developers where they dodge questions and say that these things go against their vision, which just puzzles me. Like is the game really meant to be played with a browser opened on a second screen? Is it really expected of you to amazon shop in the browser your way into hardest content in the game?

Will the game really be worse if you could craft a unique? Or if there were more currency drops to build your gear and character with? Will the game really be worse if there were tools to actually target affixes on gear instead of havign to use 6 Scrolls of Wisdom all with a different icon?

When they release a poe1 league, there's a bunch of different garbage they can sell, mtx, supporter packs, kiracs vault. Feels like a similar pitch will be less effective in poe2. The melee fix is easy, just make any melee move that animation locks you give the fortify effect while animation locked. Nothing but melee classes are going to be able to take advantage of it, and the ones that have insane attack speed to dodge/reposition can't take as much advantage.

Or hell even just remove it from quarterstaff entirely since its closer to a ranged weapon with charged staff.

One thing specifically mentioned by John in the last vid was they know the endgame is in a bad state, so to extrapolate from that implies they would be revamping it. That might also explain why no map tab yet, because they are redoing it in some way that would make it pointless to release one now. And major imbalances was mentioned, suggesting that balance changes is also something that will be featured. Possibly some new content as in one new class and skills at most, but that is dubious. The next patch will be focusing on fixing issues and improving what already exists is the impression I got.

They need to copy more from LE, giving the ability to reset the map once you explore far enough, increasing the minimum tier of maps and spreading more corruption while increasing the density of towers, mechanics, and citadels will do a lot to cut down the annoyance of the map level of the atlas.
