Ken and Guile were probably my easiest climbs
I complete gave up on Chun, she just isn't worth the extra effort, she gets nothing special that the rest of the roster doesn't already have but you have to put in twice the amount of inputs to get it, just pointless

Like you can fight people +/-1 tier

It wouldn't have any implications for MR distribution because it's calculated the same way, but it would prevent mismatches more

The +/-1 rule would work fine for that, and you'd just have people jumping up and down over the 1500 barrier the same way you did for ultra plat/diamond in 5

I honestly think you have it backwards. SFV's models are terrible, but are carried by the bright in-engine color shaders and by the animation quality, even if inconsistent with some characters. SF4 movement looks too jittery and the hits lack impact, the biggest improvement from it to 5 was the hitstun and screen freeze. Still, arguing this is pretty pointless, it all comes down to personal preference.

Like actual photos. The models suffer if you aren’t a photography head or apt at taking photos or understand zooms. Removing back lights and using RE framework to run pose scripts/animations only go so far if you lack the basics of photography. The base looks like that because of the constant lights Used. WT cutscenes of the masters look amazing bar Marisa since the lighting is beyond cooked in that one. Because it's made by Japanese developers who outsourced the visuals to India, so you got multi-layered incompetency. Add in the fact that you got suits demanding that the game has a photorealistic style (see dev comments about the game originally having more cartoony aesthetic, it's fairly easy to read between the lines why that changed) and the fact that it's massively handicapped by being forced to run on decade-old hardware, and it's not hard to see why all these factors combine into making a game that gives release SF5 a run for it's money for the worst-looking fighting game of all time.

If you actually want the real technical answer rather than bait answers. The game cuts down on it's own graphics so it preforms better, which is why hair can look super pixelated unless you have Lua Freecam.
The lighting itself looks bad in regular matches due to an unnatural backlight that doesn't take into account the other lights which is how you get all this white shit on Ken's face here >>512526095. This was obviously done to make characters more visible during motion, with a visual downgrade as a trade off.
The backlight is removed in World Tour and it actually significantly improves the way the game looks. There's also a mod that gets rid of these backlights and it also improves the way the game looks. https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/351

The thumbnail of your video is already a great example of how well animated SFV is. It's so easy to freeze frame SFV in motion and find a cool action shot, because the keyframing in it is absolutely impeccable most of the time, in stark contrast to SF4 and SF6. SFV also sells the impact of each hit much better than those two games, SFV animations have the characters actually generating force by twisting their hips and feet with much better balanced stances. How can you have made that video and without noticing the difference?

Worst design issue in SFV:
Certain characters have both overturned v triggers AND playstyles that can reward playing "stupidly", winning enough interactions to chip the opponents health down and losing enough interactions that they get access to their comeback v trigger from taking damage.

Examples:
Uriens doing random spaced tackles, random stHP crush counter fishing, random dashes, random knee drops.
R. Mika cycling through random dashes, random dropkicks, random bellyflops.
Akuma cycling through his air approaches, random dashes, random crHP CC fishing on top of having strong neutral and then activating arguably the strongest V trigger install in the game.

The issues with these characters aren't NECESSARILY the v triggers being strong, but how they can go for random shit and win just enough of these interactions that the opponent is going to be forced to guess or die. It's the VT being strong on top of it that's frustrating.

But this isn't universal. Karin doesn't win games off of playing stupidly and then forcing a guess with her VT. Cammy doesn't do that. Luke doesn't do that. Dhalsim, Guile, Zeku, MOST of the cast don't have this combination of yolo playstyle + broken Vtrigger

This isn't the case in SF6. The frustrating parts of SF6 are the system mechanics, period. It's not just some characters' drive rushes, some characters' perfect parries, some characters' critical arts, some characters' corner carry. These are all UNIVERSAL MECHANICS. You can get hit by roundstart drive rush and be taken to the corner by every character in the game. You can be punished for attempting to check a drive rush by every character in the game. You can get perfect parried into back thrown by every character in the game.

That is the big difference that you cannot "but but SFV! But v trigger!" your way out of. It's that the biggest issues with the game are universal.

Here's the thing with all these examples. If you have the skill to juggle checking and dealing with these options you are rewarded. If you know the ex tackle is coming you can shut it down. If you an Akuma is going to do his v-trigger slow fireballs to get in, you can do something. If you Mika is gonna sperg out with slides to activate you can space yourself well and whiff punish.
In SF6 if you react too fast to a drive rush in neutral you're punish countered, lose drive gauge, and now in the corner getting molested by a mouthbreathing Timtim. It's the most ass backward game ever made. You can literally lose because you are too good. What the fuck is this shit

There's nothing inherently wrong with that. It's a good thing that not every character is a methodical ground-control type of character like Karin. It's not a flaw to have explosive characters that gambles health away for the dream offensive sequence that snowballs the game back your way if they make the right reads. You just have to balance them properly. In my opinion, more offensive than the actual VT itself, were the fullscreen EX into activation patterns that they kept adding to the game. VT being a power-up isn't that bad, it being a power-up that also gets you in is way worse.
Besides, Akuma and Urien were frustrating because they had great V-Triggers, and then they also had great neutral, defensive options and damage on top of that. We all complain about how samey characters feel now, but if you want characters to feel distinct, you gotta come to terms that some of the alternative playstyles available are going to feel scrubby to you. Nobody likes Honda, but it's (probably) good that he exists in SF anyways.

Nobody's surprised. I just think it looks stupid. Wouldn't even be a big deal if he didn't also look like a tree trunk in his nostalgia costume. Sucks, his concept art was honestly a perfect way to keep the lion mane thing up without making it look ridiculous, but they ruined the execution in 3D. Seems to be a common mistake with SF6.

Yeah, this is true. The issue is that you often can't prepare for all of a character's yolo options at once and they can easily overwhelm you.
Cody has EX Zonk. But that's like his only yolo option. It's not the same for Mika or Urien who have a LOT of yolo options you can't prepare for simultaneously. THAT is the issue that people hate about SFV and it's a completely legitimate complaint.
I understand people who don't like SFV because of this part of the game. It's obnoxious to fight against.
But when these same people are arguing that SF6 is better when the issues with SF6 are UNIVERSAL is when I no longer sympathize.

Just as an aside, there are three characters in SFV with plus on block low forwards. Three characters out of 40 or whatever can risk a dash in at roundstart, crMK, force you to guess strike throw on block and have to hitconfirm on hit. Worst case scenario is you get hit and then thrown. And you're not in the corner even then.
Almost every fucking character in SF6 can do roundstart drive rush crMK and then take you to the corner for it. And then it's throw loops.

There's no comparison. I actually cannot understand the rationale of these people who think this system is better than SFV.

Hes even better than he is in any SNK game primarily because of the impact of SF6's drive system. Terry has access to powerful tools like Drive Rush to follow behind his fireballs with pressure, another tool called Drive Rush which allows terry to push forward with a normal attack from full screen by propelling himself forward and causing that normal to be + on block. He also has the ability to use a mechanic named Drive Rush to extend any combo starter and preform multiple extensions even and ending the combo with a super move, even a level 3 super move.
Terry also has the option to use something called Drive Rush to bait the enemy into whiffing an attack and utilizing the system mechanic called recovery frames, where every attack has a follow through motion that takes a long time to end from allowing Terry to use that Recovery time and start a combo using a tactic called Drive Rush Cancelling to start a strong combo and unload other resources Terry has accumulated during the match.

In these ways Terry is a very strong character compared to his SNK iterations.

Outsorcing all models to India has that side-effect. It is very much a constant contrast with all the concept art and character models, to the point where with Aki's hair the pajeets genuinely misinterpreted what the art is supposed to be and the Japs didn't have the balls to tell them to do it again. They genuinely just send pajeets a bunch of pictures, hope for the best and take the resulting abominable 3D models without any sort of further refinement or fixing obvious mistakes (see for example: Chimperly 3rd skin arm net being fucked up).
