Made a Life/Str/AOE size mace strike HOI gemling.
This shit is retarded. My gear sucks and i'm still at 6k health. Just ran a t15 Bluffs, mace striked the first enemy and the chain-HOI killed things at least 5-6 screens into the caves, if not further.
This character doesn't even have a 5th link on mace strike or HOI yet either.

Bros, am I building my sparkshitter wrong? My dps is decent, but pob lead me down the path of pushing cast speed hard.

I got a melting maelstorm and 6% mana on kill, so it's not that big of a problem as long as I'm killing shit but it still feels wrong to go OOM in like 5 seconds if I hold spark.

Take a 4-5 passive, medium trap & mine cluster jewel and reroll crit via harvest. This forces Guerilla Tactics because it's the only crit tagged mod on that jewel base. Now, simply click a few more times to receive Surprise Sabotage in addition to Guerilla Tactics.

Congrats, you made a fairly popular jewel from this past league that at present sells between 1-2 divs in trade league.

Not on my PC rn, so I don't have access to pob, but my CoS goes off like every 2 seconds during bossing.

I'm not unhappy with my build, but I thought that the way of scaling dps with cast speed instead of crit/max hit might be weird.

For those what wish to build test in Standard, take an old map series and alch+vaal it because completing that map will auto complete your entire atlas apart from the natural tier 16 maps. No need to play Standard like it's a fresh temporary league.

Don't get me wrong, PoE is my most played game ever but I do NOT look forward to go back to it. Despite all its flaws PoE2 is a vastly better gameplay experience.

cast speed related damage is a bit misleading since it depends on how you play mechanically. if you're tapping the skill and have long spark duration then during mapping it doesn't matter much and only "per cast" damage matters since your cast frequency varies. cast speed and its damage "per second" tooltip only become important if you're using mobility support and are constantly channeling spark, or during bossing when you want to burst the boss down asap. pob only cares about raw numbers and doesn't factor in gameplay quirks.

No, you are. PoE2 introduced a weight and physicality to the game that just wasn't present in PoE. Mapping in PoE feels like the enemies are made out of balloons.

When I tap the button I easily get off 2-3 casts, but I get what you mean. Right now my gear is honestly pretty garbage, like 20div (excluding ingenuity and melting) tops, I got lots of room to upgrade. Hell, a 5div wand would be like a 30% upgrade right now. I just didn't bother so far because this isn't my main.

Didn't do deep delve yet, think my deepest was ~1300, but last season I farmed titanic exiles in deli'd t17s, which is probably some of the hardest content ever.

0 offense, Anon but I feel like you're running a really unoptimized build. Pathing all the way down there loses you a TON of power. Also you should really just go CI, not having to worry about chaos res allows you to get much better gear.

Crafting utility flasks with good prefixes would be the next step. You have two amethyst flasks which are redundant. Swap one for a Basalt flask or something.

Increased duration, or maybe the "gain 3 charges when hit" prefix would be good for you. Then obviously instill orb those (or crafting bench) have them automated. Suffixes can be whatever you need.

Also don't see where your second curse is coming from with that amulet anoint. Maybe that comes in later. Are you buying a curse on hit corrupted glove in the future?

31k max phys hit. That's way more than what Uber Shaper's slam does. I think your defenses are looking good. Does a Magnate belt help you at all for some extra DPS?

the second curse was because I'm just using left over equipment from other builds, I was using warlord's mark with it but it was not worth it

Basalt, Silver, or a Quicksilver flask. If you grab the Iron Reflexes keystone you could double up on some extra flat armor by using a Jade flask with that Lion's Roar. You have a load of options.

clear is kinda mid regardless of level except for the densest of trash mobs like mosquitos rats etc. but armor explosion lets you set up for boneshatter on any enemies in a group of 3 or more which is pretty great clear if you mess up the timing on magma barrier

My only issue is it seems you get a penalty to armor break after you strip it. I was hoping I could BOOM BOOM CRASH but the subsequent armor break seems to go much slower for a few seconds.

pump elemental damage and fire damage in passives and on your gear
you need a weapon (two handed mace preferablly) with elemental and +melee levels on your weapon and + melee on your gloves for it to really shine.
Most of the shenanigans you've seen are from shieldwall proccing trampletoe explosions from magma barrier resulting in millions of damage. infernalists also get higher damage than warriors from it not sure how exactly. at level 75 I've managed to get it to 70k without that but I'm sort of hitting a wall in damage increases rn.
