Fuuuuucck it's been a hell of a ride. I though I finished the main story and was expecting an hour of plot at best. Plus a fight with smasher in a new environment.
But this smasher was way easier than the hanako ending one. Or it's just that katana is shit against him.

Congrats. What did you use this time? How specced into katanas were you? For what it's worth I thought swords took him down much easier than hacks and smart guns, even Divided We Stand which causes poison damage which he's weak against.

first time i spent like 2 hours and 15+ takes to beat him. I was originally specced into SMGs, but i forgot my smart link cyberware, so had to respec into blades (with reflexes) on the fly instead. It wasn't too bad, but he took very little damage and his -50% HP phase AOE bullshit instagibbed me a few times, so had to learn to avoid that.
This time i was into assault rifles and it took one try and maybe 10 minutes of work.

short verrsion? pure kino.
Long version? The game has enough fun stuff to do and builds to try that it doesn't get boring. Love night city as a whole, could walk around and take pics all day.
And the main story (did 2 endings plus one PL ending) is solid. The kind that keeps you staring at the credits with a hole in your heart.

Unrelated, but this kick in the feels helped me through opioid WDs. Still feel like shit, but seeing a character that's legit dying helped me in a way. Knowing you just can't outrun some things in life. Just gotta take a step forward and not look away.

It was a tiltfest getting one-shotted, but in the end it was worth it. Satisfaction like no other.
And yea, 3rd person V was a cool thing. Hope there's more of it in the other endings.

Remorse started bugging on me. Killing anyone causes nerve to refill when using Faction Multiplier Group set to both. Tried uninstalling it/reinstalling, using an older version, different game backup, and even different saves. Bug persists.

Apparently you can toggle the new DLSS models now without waiting for Nvidia driver update, unless patch notes are wrong. Curious to see that.

I bought in on GOG, first because steam doesn't have regional pricing anymore and or publishers just don't care, so I don't have to worry about random fucking updates(You can do the same on steam just by playing offline or launching the game through the bin .exe). anyways, if any steam babies like me got hit with the auto-update, here are the steps (copied from reddit) for rolling back your version:

enter these codes into steam console to rollback to update 2.2

basegame

just copy them into your cyberpunk install location just be aware it can take awhile depending on your ISP download speeds as it will download the entire game in the 2.2 state and PL as well if you take that route disable auto updates on cyberpunk to only update on launch. and just launch cyberpunk through its exe or use vortex MM. and also dont load saves that have been played on update 2.21 if you have any as it can corrupt save files =)

the vanilla game lvl 1-10 on very hard pre konpeki is peak cp77, later i feel it gets too easy.
on the other hand you actually feel like you're getting stronger which feels good, enemies dont scale too hard.

youre not kidding, they really did fix ray reconstruction, the only mod sacrifice I had to make was Enhanced Vehicle Systems which I wasnt totally sold on yet anyway
its still a little more ghosty than RR Off but its 95% less noticeable now I think
Did a quick comparison video, GPU usage (not shown) is a few % higher now with transformer but nothing huge, the best looking old settings (first in vid) and the new RR settings both comfortably pushing 45fps x2 with FG to 90fps
trying out DLAA is when my GPU pinned to 99% usage, 450W and temps started to creep to 80c and FPS was 60 with dips after Frame Gen

Didn't like it. On default settings, you go near cyberpsycho after one fight. Then there's the arcade-y +Humanity pop up whenever you do something to refill it. I've tried a couple LUTs in the past but had not really been satisfied with them. I had recently been using the NoFX lighting mod, but actually just went back to vanilla since, while it did make a very cool difference in the lighting, the nights and interiors were dark enough to make combat difficult now that I'm using guns, and I didn't really like the look of a couple of brighter LUTs I tried with it (e.g., Preem3).

It's pretty easy. Essentially everything from Nexus comes downloaded so you can just drag and drop into the same-named files in the Cyberpunk directory on your computer. Clothes will need to be acquired through the modders' stores (which are themselves other downloadable mods) or via console commands in Cyber Engine Tweaks, which is also available on Nexus. If mods have any prerequisites, they're typically listed on that mod's page on Nexus.

In that case, I'd really, really recommend you get a mod organizer. It will prevent you from fucking up your installation, which will inevitably happen when you just start out. The mods are installed in a seperate location so it doesn't touch your main cyberpunk folder all that much. It also makes updating mods easier. From mo2, you can toggle mods on and off. Makes testing easier or deleting mods you don't like. Or disabling but not deleting ones that are temporarily broken due to an update. You can organize your list with seperators etc. It'll link with your nexus account so you can use the mod manager button.
It doesn't take long to set up and it will save you headaches down the line. Works for a lot of games but I couldn't recommend it enough for Cyberpunk.

Cyber Punk would have been better if Johnny and the shit with Arasaka weren’t in the story and it was just about rising to the top and becoming a legend. Honestly not much would really change. You could still have the internal conflict shit with Arasaka. But they could have also gave the other factions more depth, and added in a proper rep system.

It hit hard the first time, but we spent like 3 hrs with him in total. It pales in comparison to all the characters we meet over the next 30+ hours.

I wish there were some side quests we could do with him before the heist. It's not like he's scripted to die before we can free roam Watson.

I do have a stupid amount of mods. If I downloaded all the updated I'd need, so everything is there, and I would just have to drag and drop, it would still most likely take me 2-3 hours of just dropping files into my game directory.

I got it to work on those shorts I mentioned earlier, though I did have to adjust the creases a little. It's kind of a multi-layered problem. ENC lets you set HP and Subdural Armor values of enemies by tier, butnthe game scales enemies by level and/or zone, and the power differential between tier 1 and tier 5 weapons is gargantuan of course, so trying to get a good catch-all balance is really hard, if possible at all. My current ENC build is set up for my old save that had tier 5 weapons.

I guess the easiest thing would be to just console myself tier 5 weapons, but I really do miss Guns Redone

They basically just drew the lines in the texture but it warps quite a few times before you see it on the face. Once for the usual UV and then I assume another time when the shape keys morph the face during customisation. What they should've done is projection paint the lines but maybe they were too lazy or didn't know how to.

Dashing is stupidly, absurdly OP and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

It's completely broken, even if you only pick up the first perk for it. Throw airdash and stamina reduction cost in there and literally nothing can catch you anymore. Why would you create such an ability, without cooldown and then enable the same in the air and virtually no cost outside of a little stamina? To top it all off, not a single enemy has an answer to you simply spamming dash. They can barely hit you and if you use it to flee they can't even dream of catching up or shooting you in the back as you flee.

I get it, it's a fun ability and it's great to zip across a battlefield / around town. It's Quake-tier fast in that way but the problem is that it doesn't require much skillful play to pull of high speeds or directional changes.If you pick the perk with better air control it becomes even easier. Pick up the ones that enable shooting/reloading while dashing and you are a demigod. I feel like there should be more to it than chosing a direction and start spam it. Great for the power fantasy but it breaks 90% of combat encounters by being so easily abused.

and it would be a feminine male voice on fem V who happens to have a giant wiener. (don't ask me how that works I didn't make this game)
