Do these mods increase those stats globally? Like if I have 100 ES and put a 20% Increased ES amulet on, will I have 120 ES? Or is it like phys rolls on weapons where it's included in the stats of the piece itself?

Heralds need a buff, the main thing causing chaining is the pork ring is it not? Heralds should have an implicit buff to damage like that one cluster in the tree that gives extra damage while a herald is equipped. They are otherwise useless against single target.

kill T15 bosses, they are guaranteed to drop 1-4 T15 maps, you might want to traverse shit nodes with T13s or below. Use only T1-5 for something like Vall Factory or Lost Tower.

Yes ash is total shit, but all I am suggesting for a buff is to give them intrinsic +increased damage to the element while in use, to give them a benefit to be on while fighting a single target. In conjuction with a nerf or adjustment that limits the self-chaining too, especially with pork ring.

Playing a cast on minion death SRS infernalist/pyromancer. Running all fire skills with flame wall, solar orb and incinerate as my main dps with fire ball on minion death.
Just passed my second ascension trial in act 3.
Having fun, but I don't ever see this becoming a build where I click one button like a stampede herald of ice titan and delete the screen.
Currently running SRS, blasphemy w/ flammability, cast on minion death and eventually I want cast on ignite fire storm.

none, its shit. you miss out on massive DPS by not running + to minion skills on a helmet. there is no fucking way to scale minion damage other than stacking as much + skills as you can afford.
the presence might have been interesting if minions did not instantly kill themselves and go into a 10 second death timer if they touch the edges of your screen.

i have been wondering this for a while, it looks like its just one fissure when you dual wield with it. If thats the case and it adds both weapons together you could have a meme boss killer build where you spam fissure with giants blood dual wield while the boss is talking/setting up, then switch to a faster weapon to spam the detonator skill with extraafter shock support.

You can get plenty of currency and sustain with just blue orbs and regals. You don't have to use exalts on waystones. Save your good waystones for bosses and breaches.
Also, your atlas tree is free. Choose nodes that pump modifiers and pack size.

Do you know what you should be looking for at the edges of the fog? Iron and Stone citadels have different terrain around them; look for grass grids. The Copper is trickier because it's surrounded by sand but there's sand in a lot of areas.

So, in maps with rituals there are 3-4 of these Altars. Each altar is in a white ritual circle surrounded by mobs.
If you kill mobs inside the circle area, their souls becomes stored inside the ritual altar.
If you then click the altar, the ritual starts.

You are now locked in the circle and the souls you stored are released for you to kill again, plus one mechanic will occur like the exploding orbs or blood waves.

Once you are done, you get Tribute for each killed enemy which you can then spend in the altar on stuff.
By completing one ritual altar, all the souls of that altar will now spawn in every other altar as well, so each consecutive ritual altar you do empowers the next one, which means more monsters but also more tribute.

This level of ineptitude puts a damper on any hope that I have for this game becoming something special. How do you promote Merc and crossbows so heavily pre-launch just for them to be one of the worst builds (if not the worst) in the entire game? At least melee does big dam. How do you implement WSAD into the game because of Merc's development and then let him be this shit, too? I don't understand. Why is Witchhunter's ascendancy nodes on pairs of gloves and even then decimating strike and cull are so shit that no one even uses them because damage is so poorly balanced and boss fights so sparce in a game that you promoted as being inspired by Dark Souls. Picking Witchhunter made me go full doomer over this game and I refuse to reroll even a month later. I would rather quit until GGG buffs him.

I played Rapid Shot Witchhunter until level 93 or so on the second week of release.
Was easily clearing T15s with it and doing bosses on him.

It's obviously a league-starter ascendancy since most of what it gives you is good clear but it's very functioning and unique which is all you could ask of an ascendancy.

The wind up is alleviated by attack speed - the faster you fire, the shorter the delay when firing it from cold. It also has a built in reload speed reduction, so reload speed helps a lot. At full heat and then fresh clip and then emergency reload, it is insane. Put mobility on it, and just keep firing

I think witch hunter defenses are also undervalued, or at least both underestimated and overestimated.
As time goes on, the sorcery shield will become much more impactful.
The original one from Elementalist in poe1 was a set shield. Big, but for the most part a set amount.

I can fully see high end geared characters running around with 4-8k sorcery ward
Once a few more ways to get elemental damage taken conversion is introduced as the time goes on this can become a really good defensive layer.
I think it's already pretty solid with Cloak of Flame
The only annoying part is (and it shares this with overflow) is that the visual on it is absolute dogshit.

How is it unique? You blow screens up already without needing the explosion ascendancy. The weapon set points are laughably bad. There isn't enough boss fights to care about lowering their cooldowns and investing into that. Decimating strike is probably the best thing about it and can be had on a pair of gloves. If the defensive ascendancy nodes were even decent, you would see hardcore players picking it. The entire community disagrees with you. You could've picked any other archetype and had a way better build.

im in act 4 hardcore ssf and i think i'm done with this mode. i'm not dead yet but i just can't feel invested in my character knowing that it will 100% eventually die and be deleted. it feels like i'm playing a demo of the game. it's 'exciting' in the moment-to-moment gameplay but in a larger sense i don't feel motivated to keep playing or gear my character up. thanks for reading my blog.

Listen man I just explained to you how Witchhunter has a solid and unique role in being an ascendancy that has solid and free clear with little gear investment.

Just like Glad in PoE 1, it's an ascendancy with a high floor but low ceiling, there will be like 32 ascendancies or so in total in this game.
If you ask me, Witch Hunter definitely has a functioning niche.

Also we are super early in this game's life so who knows how other classes clear will look like later down the lane when they nerf the herald ring like they gutted armor explosion prolif.

First of all, good morning.
Second of all, if you think crossbow is bad, you built it wrong. All the proof you need of crossbow builds being decent is widely available on youtube, twitch, and by simply playing the game and learning to put the right supports in. Your complaint about reloads shows you're deeply unfamiliar with the class as you basically never do non-automated reloads at a high level.
Grenades have issues (but witch hunter isn't limited to grenades), but that said gas grenade was the most popular build for weeks and has only fallen out of favour once people have farmed up great gear that makes other skills better, and once broken interactions like LC/vine arrow multihit have become fashionable.

Well this applies to all characters since this is EA, and in some way it applies to softcore characters because leagues will change. I just treat all characters as ephemeral, even if standard league ends up being permanent, you're not going to play a character your whole life, you'll move on to others.
That said I don't even recommend playing SSF because I think the mode robs you of the fun of finding expensive loot that's not good for your build.

The reason why Wh sucks is that none of the ascendancies interact with your build in any good way. The explosion..its not affected by your gear, your speed, your whatever, it juts does what it does. That's just wrong. You can scale AOE/reach to make decimating strike/cull do more work with fewer button presses, you can scale cull threshold, and sorcery ward directly scales off your eva/armour.
Some of the effects being independent of your gear is actually a good thing for a league start/low gear scenario.

Yep, damage isn't even hard to come by in PoE 2 nor is screen-wide clear. Flameblast is a hard hitting spell so I'm sure that with 40% extra he won't have issues with ailment thresholds early before he has the gloves. He can just drop frostbombs to help with the freeze early on.

Separate crossbow gameplay from WH gameplay. You can use a crossbow on any character, or use any skill with WH. As an ascendancy, WH is weak. Amybe it can be ok using crossbows because maybe the crossbow build being used is ok, but the WH ascendancy itself is not adding anything much to that party.

The only reason sorc and witch are not ideal for crossbows is that one reload cluster at the opposite side of the tree requiring a lot of travel. But otherwise, their ascendancies are litterally better than WH. On a sorc you could use the all damage = shock, and herald of thunder with any crossbow skill, + increased effect of exposure for example, both of those have more impact on your effectiveness than anything WH does

Reload speed is also modified by attack speed, so you don't even actually need specific reload speed if you have something like Falcon Technique.

why are level 20 skill gems so rare? I've been running as many level 81 maps as I can but I've yet to see one.
Between those and the scarcity of jewellers orbs it feels like the old system was better because you could at least progress towards a 6 link with fusings, however slow it was.

because you have access to +skills on gear for basically free, the power a level 20 gem in poe2 is the equivalent to a corrupted 21 in poe1 you don't need it, it's purely for minmaxxing purposes, same with a 6link the entire game is more than doable on a 5 link it's literally balanced around it.

Sure, nerf the super broken stuff, but what we really need is: Map tab
Proper trading system
Eliminate backtracking to complete the maps
Remove augury (edit: some people like it, just remove the levers, people hate mire more)
Improve terrible map layouts
Improve visual crarity, expecialy for on death effects that one shot (or remove then)
Remove the gpu melting, 20 fps on 4090, death effect from rare monster (or make optinal)
Runes can be override
Delirium no longer turn the game black and white
Delirium moster don't have invulnerability time white pushing you 2 screens away
Improve performance, especialy in breach and delirium
Stack breach splinters and catalyst like in delirium enconters, they drop at the end
Magic find: I thing a easy short term solution is to give every carater +100 increased rarity , so there is no need to have rarity in every peace off gear that can roll it and add ruthless mode for Kripp :). From what i saw, it is really necessary to have at least 100-150 rarity and after that there is diminishing returns. With +100 base rarity to everybody people can still make magic find characters, but not every character need to invest in magic find.

I think those are the more urgent thigs, what more?

Edit: Things i forgot
Death recap (just show all damage taken in the last 2-3 seconds is good enough, is not that hard)
Improve armor
Loot filter for console
They metion in the ziz interview they will add a proper trading system (set the price and done, for all itens not only currency), i know they also said : no need for loot filter and fix meele, but hopefuly they are working on it.

Sunder is buggy as fuck and massively OP at the moment. If you Proc an Aftershock with it, it will proc every other Aftershock it possibly can that is below the initial aftershock in the code queue. Add in the Upheaval relic that makes Sunder do 3 individual Sunders and you get massive back to back chains of sunders that last 30 seconds.

Get Relics that give a total of 75% honour res
The number one way to lose is to get a bad affliction, so managing afflictions and avoiding the bad ones is the most important thing by far.
Here are afflictions that I'd never take:
>Sometimes not go to the room you selected
>Increased action speed on monsters
>Reduced MS
>Have no ES / Evasion

If you get some experience, decent relics and good gear you should be able to clear atleast floor 3 of Sugma.

The reload happens almost never at a higher level, and happens extremely quickly when you have high attack/skill speed. You can go a whole map without reloading non-automatically once.

You only have detonation delay if you choose to have it, you can use detonating shot. Some titan builds just scale decreased skill duration/shorter fuses (pairs well with ghost dance duration reduction tech).
Cooldown is a real issue but less of an issue if you have invested into CDR and AOE.
I would say grenades are completely fine if the manacosts were fine, but those are bullshit and make them too unpleasant to play when you account for how many things you have to play around (cdr, bouncing, range, and now also mana).

Why can rares spawn as inanimate objects like the statues or buried crabs with no visual indication that they're rare?
I end up walking past them and then have to backtrack across the ENTIRE MAP because I happened to miss them on my first loop. So fucking dumb.

See, even that is very powerful compared to the backpack, because it lightens the attribute req burden somewhat so it makes the 4 point investment to get hulking so much more viable than it is rn.

Fusillade is such trash. It shouldn't refresh duration, instead firing all once duration on first cast ends. As is it's incredibly cumbersome and slow to use for an already low damage skill. Even with a bunch of reduced duration it feels like shit.

There's no such a thing as real AA. There's just "braindead AA". Which is rendering at higher res and then downscaling. We don't do this anymore. Nowadays it's all gimmicky "good enough" solution like temporal AA, FXAA, etc.
FSR is the closest you'll get to the old school braindead AA.
