I don't know bro, let's calculate it:
Holding 3 spawns - 3 Leather every 7 minutes (the largest time frame) 1 leather = 12g, so that's roughly 312 gold an hour in mats.
However, if you buy (or craft) hide you can turn 14 leather which is roughly 170 gold into 280, so factoring that in (even if you deduct hide profit) that's 230 gold per 14 leather. So getting about 25 leather an hour comes out to 380 gold per hour.
Sure, this is assuming no disruptions, pvp or defeats, but even inefficiently that's like 250-300 gold per hour if you are successful. Keep in mind I hit 60 pretty fast so I had a good week to farm this shit almost completely uncontested and made like 4k gold.
