Look up keyboard ghosting, if your kb is cheap it will probably fuck you in the ass.

If you use wasd or arrows for directions then flash kick motions and 360s will be hard.

Learn about input shortcuts for dps and other things because they can make inputs on kbd or hitbox very easy.

divekick is the single best special move in the game right now. beats a lot of neutral options and makes it way easier for cammy to get in, amazing when applying pressure too, also incredible on defense for punishing throws or anything else, even if you have the read on it its stupid hard to anti air, and it makes a lot of forward jumps a 50/50 on whether shes going to divekick and guessing wrong means you eat a huge 4000 damage punish on your anti air.

Once you are done absorbing all the stuff you are currently learning, next you should find a good burnout pressure sequence for chip damage if he has one, and then ways to wallsplat a burned out opponent.
Especially if Gouki can get oki after his level 3, if you burn them out with a lvl 3 making sure you get any guaranteed meaty into guaranteed chip/wallsplats is huge.

Highest was Plat 3 with Cammy.
Really frustrating to play her tho, she wasn't that much fun but SF6 starting Roster was lacking. Got back into SF a few days ago and wanted to give Akuma a try.

I'll keep the Burnout Pressure thing in the back of my mind.

Nah you're wrong on this broski. Jinrai doesn't afford ken extra neutral control by just existing and making you have to refrain from buttons sometimes to be ready to anti air divekick nor is is plus on block or a throw punish. It has a singular purpose, is minus, and ken has to hit you with a normal first so it doesn't make other characters scared in neutral.

jinrai is not that op, its just doesn't play by the SF6 law of being a linear move with one counterplay. The entire game should be as nuanced as jinrai, old games had special moves that were safe and required different answers to get around and prevent the opponent from spamming. This was known as neutral. Drive is the problem as usual here.

Bison ex crusher is definitely up there as the best special move, but I actually think the best special is that snatcher shit ed does. Bisons ex crusher has no flaws except that it uses meter and must be charged, while snatcher is meterless and a motion.
Ex psycho crusher carries bison and leads to a ton of damage, but bison is already so mickey that its like attaching a pistol to a tank. Pistols are deadly but the tank is already far beyond its power. Snatcher turns a normal character into one that doesn't have to play street fighter, it created entire careers.

Yeah I agree, I am tempted to jump ship to a shoto.

Just make sure you have combos for the most common starters/situations and you will be ok for now.
Focus more on your combos for punishing DP/Supers/other unsafe stuff.
Losing a tiny bit of highly scaled damage from a light starter combo is bad but not as bad as losing out on damage from these bigger oppurtunities.

I dont think having extra stuff makes them not a shoto, Ken is more focused on Jinrai rape and rushdown than he is on the fireball+DP gameplay but he is still a shoto.

I wonder if the dive on semi-photorealism has been a double-edged sword in the long run.
Wouldn't surprise me that one of the reasons SF6 sold so well at the start was due to the change in art direction, as normies typically like photorealistic looks in games more, but with dev snippets and interviews coming out where they state they take a lot of time to make even just a costume for an already developed base character model it seems that it's giving them quite some trouble in terms of content update beyond cheap WT/BH avatar sets.

We know there will be costume 3 for year 2 characters, so the obvious thing to expect is they release those with Elena, so I would expect costume 4 then or later.
I dont see what people expect in a SSF6, they definitely wont be saving up a lot of characters to drop at once, its just better to release them over the course of a year so the game has "stuff" happening periodically.
At most there may be a bundle with everything in it + the next pass but I really think they will just discount the earlier passes over time..

The big problem with all of these models as that the Z-team at Capcom has no idea how to do facial animation, so even characters whose models look good suddenly look weird and off-putting when they show expression.

The ones whose models already look bad just look monstrous when they smile.

Most of the black FGC creators are difficult to watch and listen to. They take 10 minutes to articulate a simple point, ramble in circles, and don't bother editing down.

There's exceptions of course, usually the black fgc channels that hire an editor, but I prefer to watch a polished video rather than some barely literate ranting unedited for 20 minutes. The most polished channels are run by white guys.

The issue could be solved by Capcom eventually if they simply sucked it up spent some money and hired more people to put on the game if all their other devs are working on other projects. But to answer, he doesn’t flip. He just does a twist leap up. They didn’t bother animating a flip like in 3S or Alpha3 or SF4. Instead woshige and the other battle planners thought it’d be funny to give his foward teleport a grab. Have fun using it above Diamond 1 btw. His demon flip only gained a combo filler tatsu off EX and his Tekken 7 doward chop that’s pretty abuseable. And his flip can be short stoped by holding down. That’s the real good part about it. Even after a minor nerf, side switching is still a guess for your opponent

3s has variable wakeup timings between characters, for both the quick stand and normal wakeup. And USF4 had delayed wakeup.

I think either of this is much better than one wakeup timing like we have now. Oki is already a guessing game, but it's now been simplified to the point of being a joke

I also hate that we always say that single player is necessary for casuals and ranked is only for whatever you call a non-casual. Most players in any competitive game are casuals and casuals and play competitive modes, just poorly and at low ranks. We can have a playerbase outside of 1800 mr killers even if there's no single player.
