Now that is has been revealed that MF is not as big of a deal as we thought, will the activist arm chair game devs switch their focus onto other things that have potential to ruin game balance? I remember one point that was being hammered over and over was that MF made people feel like they were forced into playing certain classes or playstyles in order to stack MF to compete in item finding instead of just playing what they wanted. An argument I heard repeated several times was that MF was a stat in D2 which made sorc the starter class of most people, people felt that they had to start a sorc to gear the class they actually wanted to play. One thing worth pointing out is that people didnt pick sorc because of the MF stat, they picked sorc because of teleport. There was simply no reason to try and MF on other characters when a sorc could get to the boss and kill it before another class even found the next level of the dungeon.

Now that we have stopped talking so much about how bad MF is, surely the sorcs,witches,monks, and rangers using energy shield who were making youtube videos and forum posts on why we should hate MF will change their focus to arguing why Temporalis/Blink is bad for game balance? Only certain classes can really make use of that, and anyone that can use it will always be faster by several orders of magnitude than anyone who cant. Its arguably worse than MF in that regard because at least a rich warrior could theoretically stack MF and clear high maps without getting intelligence or giving up his chest armor to wear a robe.

Will those same streamers/youtubers/reddit activists save the day for us and get this interaction removed so people dont feel pigeonholed into playing on the top side of the talent tree in order to "compete"?

found a nice brainless farm, apparentyl level 8 spirit gems sell for a decent amount, around 15 to 20 exalts and mostly to gear up aurabots with minimum level auras. Made a real quick autobomber and now I just ran up and down act 2 dreadnought. Completely mindless but you get a spirit gem every like 3 or 4 runs with some decent MF. Do it fast enough and it's roughly like ~6 divines an hour if you're good about not just crashing the market supply.

Was really just bullshitting the 4x virtual machines but I do got a friend I did real money sales in WoW with that is running PoE on his computer and laptop at the same time, with his computer account farming stuff and his laptop account sitting in a hideout that he dumps everything of any value and just invites to do trades and sells currency to some company in bulk.
Before Exalts plummeted in price, between exalts-jeweler orbs-divines and a mirror plus some of the rare items and uniques (which according to him rare items need to have open spots to be worth anything because gamblers will gamble as long as the item has 4 good affixes on it.)
But as a Venezuelan he has made a fair bit of money being a neet and grinding this shit nonstop.

Your evasion rating could be better but it's alright, I'm not sure about Armour since Armour is pretty mediocre in general
If you had what >>509267072 describes you could easily be getting oneshot especially if you had any of the other afflictions that reduce your defenses and if your fire res is lower than you think it is

Yeah that's significantly worse because of the way res works, you're taking nearly double the damage that you would be with capped res. I would work on that some more (replace the Gold Ring if you have to) and additionally try to get some more Life, 1500 seems very low for a STR class. I'm a level 80 monk who hasn't been building Life or speccing STR at all and even I have 1300.

Rituals are a shitshow, you either kill everything instantly, or you have to cc it, or they will spawn on top of you and gangrape you. It's not helped that they spawn into impassable terrain most of the time too, so you are working with no area to move in. Imo they should work similar to the circle of blood you need to stand in for the chaos trial and spit out way less mobs or gradually increase the quantity of mobs they spit out, or have them spit out more difficult mobs over time and not just shit out a screen full of mobs at once.

My char can basically clear screens and kill bosses literally within 3 seconds and I still managed to get 100% magic find which is supposedly where diminishing returns begin. My gear all costs around 10 divs right now (but I bought a lot of it over a week ago when it cost under 4). Minus the gloves which are overkill, you could get the same gear as me for 6. Charms should be like D2. They fill your inventory and give stats like +5 res, +5 attribute, +3 move speed, +5 mf. The only viable way to play is have a 100% full inventory and no room for drops except the one you can fit on your cursor. Whenever you want to pick something up, you have to open a portal and put the item on your cursor and go through it right to your stash.

Newer player, curious about the dynamic of Hardcore vs. Not Hardcore. Are most players on Hardcore? My intuition makes me feel like it's the mode I should be playing, but I'm two characters in that have died to instant-death moves from bosses, and it feels incredibly discouraging to continue playing Hardcore when there are attacks that are practically invisible and completely erase my existence at the same time.

Genuine question, is armor as bad as it's made out to be, even as a secondary defensive stat? To tldr, I'm playing witchunter, and I'm far too squishy but finding it very hard to stack ES given my current build, and I want to keep it very similar to what I have now. I'm at 1531 HP/ 370 ES at lvl 85 ( I know this is ass) with only 75% evasion. Should I just switch to Evasion/Armor, or should I just Allocate for an ES passive, and try to get better Evasion/ES gear.

Getting gear with 200%+ magic find without significantly impacting your stats is pretty costly. If you have to impact your stats to afford it, you are gimping your clear speed (and your ability to clear juiced maps) which in effect fucks your ability to find good loot.
Some people run very high MF in groups because they're at a power level where they can clear everything instantly while still squeezing every possible % of MF. Their clear speed won't go go up by sacrificing MF so at that point you might as well max it out.

This is only true for some of them. Several, like the poison one, work immediately and will remove poison from you instantly. It's really only notably the stun one that does not do this and works as you describe.
